Chapter 188: Traveling in Slippers
Chapter 188: Chapter 188: Traveling in Slippers
"Maybe this isn’t just about kicking me out of the drama crew; it’s about kicking me out of the entertainment industry."
Ah Da felt sorry for her and suddenly thought of something, saying gravely, "Could it be that Xue Linyin had someone deliberately take that video? The backlash you’re getting online is really severe."
I heard that usually celebrity fans have connections with their studios, so you could say they’re practically insiders.
"Sister Liu said it might be because Xue Linyin is wary of me. If played well, the role of the second female lead could become very popular, so she’s been trying to communicate with the director to change the script since she joined the crew, but without success. I am prettier than her, and since fans nowadays care a lot about looks, it’s highly likely she feared being overshadowed."
Su Qingtong narcissistically touched her own face, "All I can say is that even though Xue Linyin has reached the top actress position, she is still so petty, squeezing and squirming against me. Otherwise, it’s hard to explain why she was being so sarcastic right from the start."
Ah Da said, "Actually, it’s common for fans of actors in many TV dramas to be antagonistic toward each other, and fights are quite normal given the competitive nature of a crowded entertainment industry, everyone wants to crush their competitors."
"These people are idle, full of schemes, forget it, let’s ignore them. You should also reduce your time on Weibo recently; you’re a well-known major fan in my fan circle. If you get targeted, who knows if Xue Linyin’s fans’ fury might accidentally spill over onto you."
Su Qingtong said worriedly.
Ah Da shook her head at the screen, "Don’t worry, recently I haven’t really felt like going on Weibo at all."
Su Qingtong frowned, recalling what she had just said, "Are you feeling very distressed now?"
Ah Da replied, "Not now, it comes and goes. Sometimes I feel nothing, sometimes it’s very uncomfortable, and the timing of these episodes is so unpredictable. It’s really strange."
Su Qingtong, touching her chin, suddenly had a realization and confidently said, "I know, it must be an issue that occurred after integrating with the soul, probably because Old Man Ting Chan’s technique wasn’t professional. Wait, I’ll ask Yao Qingzhi for you; he and Ting Chan are master and pupil, I don’t believe he wouldn’t know."
Ah Da said with teary eyes, "Bronze Sword..."
"Alright, alright, be good. I almost want to take a leave and come see you," Su Qingtong said softly, her tone much gentler as she looked at her, feeling her heart melt.
"Then focus on your filming, don’t worry about me. Qin Yu said he’s going to take me to see the ocean soon, for several days," Ah Da said with eyes curved into crescents, smiling foolishly.
"To see the ocean? Wow, that sounds so romantic," Su Qingtong teased with a sly grin, staring straight at the screen, "You look so happy; it seems you and he are getting along quite well. Have you moved any closer?"
"What closer? I often argue with him, so it shouldn’t count as getting along well," Ah Da conservatively said. She treated Bronze Sword like family and couldn’t help confiding in her, "It’s just that sometimes Qin Yu is really too much, but otherwise, it’s okay."
Su Qingtong raised an eyebrow: "Too much in what way?"
Ah Da recalled the moment when a drunken Qin Yu had pressed her down on the sofa and kissed her fiercely, his fingers pinching her chin with forceful, definitive power that left no room for resistance, progressively engulfing her.
Watching little incense burner’s visibly blushing face on the screen, Su Qingtong immediately knew her guess was right, thinking, ’How could Qin Yu let such a ’delicacy’ be right beside him and not take a bite unless he isn’t a normal man.’
Especially little incense burner, so sweet and soft, like cotton candy. Even Su Qingtong, a cold Ancient Sword Spirit by nature, had been softened into an old mother hen by her.
"Forget it, just have fun," Su Qingtong said, having enjoyed enough of her blushing and shy expression. Suddenly, the caravan door opened and she glanced out the window, "The rain has eased up. The first scene is mine; I need to quickly touch up my makeup."
"Go ahead," Ah Da waved at her.
After hanging up, Su Qingtong, holding up her skirt, stepped down from the caravan. Sister Liu took her phone, "Haven’t I told you to stay off your phone recently?"
"What are you worried about? It doesn’t matter how much more people criticize me." Su Qingtong was careful to watch her step, fearing stepping into puddles, as one set of dirty costumes could be troublesome.
Sister Liu followed beside her, asking out of professional habit, "So who were you chatting with, or on the phone with just now?"
Su Qingtong paused mid-step, turning to look at her, "I was securing a financial backer for you, satisfied?"
"A financial backer?" Sister Liu was stunned then hurried after Su Qingtong, "Really? Have you finally got it?"
"Spouting nonsense! What’s between those two ears of yours?" Su Qingtong glanced at her and walked straight into the building.
On the other side.
As soon as Ah Da hung up the phone, she heard a noise from outside. She stood up and walked to the window to see a black helicopter slowly descending onto the helipad.
Are we taking that to see the ocean?
Ah Da smiled to herself, turned around, and was about to run outside when Qin Yu walked down from the upstairs just in time to call out to her.
"Stop right there."
Ah Da halted, turned her head to look at Qin Yu, and noticed he was wearing a pair of black sunglasses that covered his eyes, somehow accentuating the superiority of his nose bridge.
He walked over unhurriedly, his tall and straight figure donned in a black shirt with two buttons undone revealing his collarbones, his handsome face behind the sunglasses exuded a cold demeanor with a hint of ruffian charm.
In his hand was a white hat, which he naturally placed on her head as he approached.
"The sun is intense, and it’s windy by the seaside."
The hat, with its frilly brim, was so large that it could block her line of sight. Ah Da raised her hand to adjust it until it no longer obstructed her view.
Qin Yu watched her, his eyes deep and unclear, swirling with dense and indissoluble affection. The oversized hat made the petite girl, dressed in an off-shoulder slip dress with her slender waist gently cinched with a belt, look even more delicate, barely a handful.
Standing in front of her, he could easily smell the sweet fruity fragrance on her, like a peach drenched in morning dew hung from a fruit tree, sweet and enticing.
After adjusting the hat, Ah Da looked down at her feet in house slippers, thinking of changing into another pair of shoes, when in the next moment, Qin Yu suddenly scooped her up around her waist.
Suspended in mid-air, Ah Da had no choice but to hang her fair hands on his broad shoulders, her clear eyes looking at his profile, "Maybe I should go and change my slippers first."
Qin Yu did not stop, striding out the door, only saying, "No need, those slippers can be worn on Malaya Island too."
Ah Da: "..."
Wearing slippers on a trip...
That doesn’t seem so bad.
Near the helicopter, the crew was making final checks. Long Qi, with hands on hips, watched Third Young Master approaching with a young girl in one arm, the lake breeze suddenly picking up, the girl holding onto Third Young Master’s neck with one hand and grabbing her hat with the other to prevent it from being blown away.
He had been puzzled about why Third Young Master suddenly insisted on staying in Malaya Island. Seeing this scene, he somewhat understood.
It was purely a trip with his girlfriend.
Qin Yu placed Ah Da inside the cabin, noticing her hat was askew, he subconsciously reached out to press the brim down, almost at the same time, her delicate hand slapped his away.
Ah Da took off her hat, her hair in a messy fluff, making her look like a ruffled cat.
She was becoming even more irritated, considering she had accidentally touched the soft flesh around her waist while on the way there, and was holding a grudge over it.
Qin Yu’s lips curled into a smile, then turned to Long Qi, "Keep an eye on the movements of the directors during this time, assist Ning Bei, and contact me directly if anything major comes up."
"Yes, Third Young Master, rest assured," Long Qi responded earnestly.
