Luo Qi ordered five dishes in a row, and when she realized what she was doing, she held the menu up to her face and stealthily asked Lin Yan, "Did I order a little too much?"

She feared it would be wasteful.

"Don’t worry, we can take the leftovers home," Lin Yan said without a change of expression.

Luo Qi felt relieved then, closing the menu, "Let’s just have these."

After spending some time with Lin Yan, Luo Qi knew what he liked and disliked, so she ordered dishes both of them would enjoy.

However, as a doctor, Lin Yan wasn’t picky and would eat almost anything, oh, except for pig intestines.

Luo Qi didn’t dislike them nor was particularly fond of them, but Ye Ranran didn’t like them either. Having often dined with her before, and now with Lin Yan, she had begun subconsciously avoiding them.

"Did you know about this restaurant for a long time? Why didn’t you bring me here before?"

"I only found out about it a while ago, by chance, when I was catching up with a fellow countryman. I wanted to bring you here sooner, but either I was busy or you were."

Luo Qi felt deflated, "Yeah, we’ve really been swamped lately."

All her work had piled up during her hospital stay, so she was buried with all sorts of tasks upon her return, nearly driving her to a breakdown.

The dishes were served quickly; Luo Qi had ordered braised carp, white-cut chicken, braised shrimp, stir-fried bitter gourd, and tomato egg drop soup.

As Luo Qi ate, Lin Yan helped her pick out the fishbones, only placing the fish meat in her bowl after all the bones had been removed.

Luo Qi served him a piece of chicken, added a few shrimp to his plate, and lastly filled a bowl of soup for him.

"You too should eat," Luo Qi said. "Otherwise, I might finish everything myself."

Lin Yan was still busily picking out fishbones: "How about you feed me?"

"Alright."

Lin Yan doubted his ears, he looked up sharply: "What did you say?"

Luo Qi had already picked up a piece of chicken: "Come on, open up."

Lin Yan obediently opened his mouth, and Luo Qi placed the chicken inside.

Just like that, the two of them finished their meal.

Whether they were just that hungry or what, they managed to clear all the dishes.

Luo Qi felt a bit embarrassed: "Did I eat too much?"

"Not at all." Lin Yan tore open a wet wipe, cleaning his hands, then opened the one next to Luo Qi and helped clean her hands as well.

Luo Qi blushed slightly, "I can do it myself."

But Lin Yan meticulously wiped her hands for her.

Luo Qi was embarrassed, not because she wasn’t clean, but because she hadn’t peeled any shrimp or picked any fishbones; she felt there was no need for it.

"Let’s go," Lin Yan said after wiping their hands.

After finishing their meal, they went straight back home, and upon reaching the downstairs of their building, Lin Yan suggested, "Did we eat too much? How about we take a walk?"

"Sure." Luo Xuan wasn’t home, and Luo Qi didn’t want to return so early either.

Their neighborhood boasted excellent greenery, and now at 7 p.m., though it was already dark, there were still quite a few people taking walks due to the pleasant weather.

The street lights, hidden under the bushes, cast a greenish glow.

Luo Qi and Lin Yan walked hand in hand under the trees, occasionally small groups of children would run past them.

Next to their community was a basketball court, where some people were playing basketball. Beside it was a small children’s playground.

Cheers and laughter from the children sounded in waves.

Luo Qi looked over from time to time.

"Do you enjoy watching sports?" Lin Yan quickly noticed Luo Qi’s gaze.

Luo Qi shook her head, "Not really, but I do think being young is great."

Lin Yan couldn’t help but laugh through his exasperation: "You talk as if you’re very old."
