But now, he had changed his mind. Except for marrying her, anything else she wanted, he could give her. Keeping a woman around indefinitely wasn’t a bad idea.

The man extinguished his cigarette in the ashtray, then reached out and yanked Delphine towards him, hoisting her onto his shoulder and heading towards the bedroom with an expressionless face.

"To report you." Her voice was hoarse, her eyes red and swollen, unable to even stand properly.

The man’s breathing deepened, and he held her tightly, refusing to let go. His handsome face was shrouded in shadows, betraying no emotions. He spoke slowly and solemnly, "You’ve always been my woman."

A flicker of gloom passed through his gaze. Coming here intending to catch her cheating, but upon seeing her enter with flowers in her arms, all his rationality and self-control crumbled absurdly. He only wanted to hold her, to press her beneath him, to feel his presence deeply within her.
