Chapter 804: Chapter 773: Protection, Accepting New Students
Finally, before Huo Yingjie left, Huashan had drawn up a contract that everyone signed. Afterwards, they gave the money to Huashan to start the shop as soon as possible.
Facing He Tiantian, Huashan’s state of mind had somewhat changed.
Although their Unfettered faction were not servants of the Huo Family, they were essentially bodyguards hired by Huo Yingjie. However, the form of protection provided by bodyguards was somewhat different.
"Thank you for trusting me. I will work hard to make money for you," said Huashan. He was quite optimistic about this business venture, and with his intelligence, he was sure he could help everyone make money.
"We are counting on you from now on," He Tiantian said. "But don’t be too nervous; getting a business started isn’t easy, so just take it slow."
"Yes, just handle things as you see fit," Qin Li said. After investing this money, she now also had a shop. Moreover, it provided her with a way to get in contact with He Tiantian more often and improve their relationship.
Huang Jingli was the most straightforward, saying, "If you encounter any difficulties, don’t just power through them alone. After all, we all invested together, so we should solve problems together."
"Yeah, I will," Huashan smiled. "I’ve already picked out the location, not far from Sanfeng Bridge. There are several shops there that are very suitable."
"You mean on the north side?" He Tiantian asked. There were many shops selling the Four Treasures of the Study and also many antique shops, as well as places where crafts were sold from stalls.
Huashan nodded, "Yes, that’s the place. People who like antiques will go there."
You know more about this than we do, so it’s up to you to decide," He Tiantian said with a smile. With Huashan managing a shop in that location, it couldn’t be bad.
Seeing He Tiantian so confident, Huo Yingjie smiled and said, "This is a good investment, you don’t have to worry."
"I’m not worried!" He Tiantian smiled. "It’s just a matter of how much we will earn. You’re leaving tomorrow, and I’ve packed your luggage for you. Take good care of yourself when you get to your unit."
"Yes!" Huo Yingjie nodded. "I’m leaving the house in your hands."
"We’re husband and wife," He Tiantian said. "There’s no need for such talk. Everything is going smoothly both inside and out, so you don’t have to worry while you’re away."
"Yes!" said Huo Yingjie, reaching out to caress He Tiantian’s fair little face as he looked at her.
He Tiantian hated to part with Huo Yingjie, but she had grown accustomed to this kind of separation.
Her slender arms hugged Huo Yingjie tightly, hoping to retain the warmth from his body a bit longer.
At this moment, words became extremely pale and powerless; only the love in their hearts could express the passion they felt now.
Loving each other, cherishing each other.
The next day, when He Tiantian woke up, Huo Yingjie, Zhang Aijun, and Yun Feng had already left.
The house felt much colder with fewer people around.
However, having two kids home meant it was always possible to make the house lively and boisterous in the shortest time possible.
The new school term was just a few days away, and according to a prior notice, He Tiantian had to come to school a few days earlier to study.
After a summer vacation away from school, the trees on campus were still lush and beautiful.
Last semester, He Tiantian was interning, but now she had become the head teacher of a new class.
She needed to study, attend meetings, and then prepare to welcome new students.
Upon arriving at school, He Tiantian saw a notice in the office announcing her as the head teacher and counselor for the 1980 Level Chinese Department, Class One. The class had a total of twenty-eight students, with sixteen girls and twelve boys.
Their dormitory and daily necessities had been arranged by the logistics staff.
He Tiantian visited the dormitory to check for any cleanliness issues or broken beds, desks, or benches, compiled a list, and submitted it to the logistics department for prompt repairs.
In order to provide students with a relatively good environment after they reported to the school, He Tiantian carefully inspected everything, reporting broken items and areas that didn’t meet hygiene standards.
Zhang Mengmeng happened to come to school to take her things to the dormitory and was pleasantly surprised to see He Tiantian. "Teacher He, hello!" she exclaimed.
"Hello, Zhang Mengmeng," He Tiantian responded with a smile. "Was your summer break rewarding?"
"Mhm, very much so. I’ll still go to work at night," Zhang Mengmeng said. "With this job, I can solve my family’s difficulties and focus on my studies. By the way, Teacher He, will you still be teaching our class?"
He Tiantian shook her head and said, "Unfortunately, I can no longer lead your class, my internship has ended. After school starts, I’ll be teaching Class 1 of the Chinese department, class of ’80."
"That’s a pity," Zhang Mengmeng said regretfully. "But Teacher He will always be my teacher, my benefactor."
"Hehe, you don’t need to be so formal, I can’t take it," He Tiantian said. "Though I can’t teach you, I believe you’ll study hard and have a promising future."
As the start of the school year approached, she knew the teachers would be busy, and since they would start regular classes the day after registration, she could ask a few classmates to help Teacher He welcome the new students reporting to school.
"Teacher He, the new students will report the day after tomorrow, and you’ll certainly be busy. Some students will arrive at school successively tomorrow. How about I find a few classmates to help you with the new students’ reception?" Zhang Mengmeng proposed, eager to find an opportunity to thank the teacher for her help, and this seemed like the perfect chance.
"That... that would be hard work..." He Tiantian was touched, realizing that having sophomore students assist would indeed make things much easier.
"It’s precisely because it’s hard work that we should come and help," Zhang Mengmeng insisted. "Don’t worry, Teacher, we’ll be in your office waiting for you early the day after tomorrow."
Since Zhang Mengmeng insisted, He Tiantian accepted, nodding her head and saying, "Alright, once registration is over, I’ll treat you to a meal."
"Great, thank you in advance, Teacher He," Zhang Mengmeng said. "I’ll go back to the dorm and tidy up before heading to my night shift."
"Sure, go ahead," He Tiantian nodded, her mood lifted.
With the report day approaching, He Tiantian could breathe a sigh of relief.
Finally, the day for the new semester’s registration arrived, and Zhang Mengmeng had gathered six or seven classmates from their batch to help out.
By the time He Tiantian arrived, Zhang Mengmeng and the others were already waiting there.
"Good morning, everyone," He Tiantian greeted with a smile. "Thank you for coming to help."
"Good morning, Teacher He," Zhang Mengmeng replied. "We were free anyway, and besides, helping out earns us a meal from Teacher He. Why not, right?"
"Okay!" He Tiantian nodded. "The teacher won’t be stingy! Now, let’s assign some tasks."
A few minutes after the brief discussion, everyone lifted tables to the registration area near the entrance. They were early, so they got a prime spot under a large tree.
The morning had dew and some might have thought it wasn’t the best spot, but by noon, it proved to be excellent, with the large tree providing cool shade.
He Tiantian was very pleased, saying, "Good, this spot is great. By the way, have you all had breakfast?"
"Yes."
"No."
The students’ answers varied.
