Chapter 374: Chapter 345 Old Madam Zhao_1
Hearing the young man’s praise, Third Grandma Qi was very pleased.
"Haha, this child really knows how to flatter." Third Grandma Qi laughed cheerfully, "Alright, if you have any further instructions, just let us know, we will try our best to cooperate."
Huo Yingjun smiled and said, "Now, you and Tiantian’s identities are that of ethnic Chinese from Singapore, these are your identity documents. You’ve taken a cruise to Hong Kong to visit relatives and travel, then you’ll go on to the United States. As for the identity documents, Tiantian, pay attention, they’re all in the suitcase."
He Tiantian opened the suitcase, inside of which was a pink leather purse containing hers and Third Grandma Qi’s documents.
He Tiantian glanced through them once and memorized the details, the names were the same as before, just the nationality had changed, becoming Singaporean.
This was also good, it saved a lot of trouble.
He Tiantian opened Third Grandma Qi’s suitcase, took out her black leather purse and said, "Grandma, carrying this purse will make you look even more stylish later."
"Indeed!" Huo Yingjun agreed, "He Tiantian is your granddaughter, and you two are visiting H Port as part of a grandmother-granddaughter trip; we are your bodyguards. There’s one more hour until we reach the pier; get your things ready, and soon we’ll disembark."
"Mm, got it," He Tiantian replied.
Huo Yingjun left, and He Tiantian asked Third Grandma Qi to sit down while she began to pack.
With the two suitcases, the two rattan cases that they had previously used were no longer needed, and the clothes with a period feel to them were also stored in the rattan cases; she would hand them over to Huo Yingjun later to keep safe.
From the window, He Tiantian could see the situation outside; the cruise ship had already docked, and there were many people holding signs to pick up passengers at the pier.
He Tiantian scanned the crowd attentively, with her excellent vision, she spotted ’Old Madam Qi, Miss Tiantian.’
"Grandma, look, there are people down there to pick us up." He Tiantian pointed outside, showing Third Grandma Qi.
Third Grandma Qi took a few glances but could not make out the words. She chuckled and said, "I guess age has taken its toll; my eyes are blurry, and I can’t see the words clearly."
"Knock knock knock!" The sound of knocking on the door came from outside; Huo Yingjun was already waiting.
Third Grandma Qi chuckled and said, "Let’s go, I can’t wait to see the outside world."
He Tiantian opened the door, and Huo Yingjun entered with two colleagues.
"Grandma Qi, we should disembark now. If there’s anything you don’t understand, you can ask me," Huo Yingjun said with a smile, gesturing his colleagues to pick up the luggage.
"Don’t throw away those clothes I changed out of!" Third Grandma Qi instructed, they were all her hard-earned savings, and she didn’t want to discard them.
"Don’t worry, Old Madam, we’ve taken care of everything for you," Huo Yingjun responded with a smile, "Miss He, are we ready to go?"
Third Grandma Qi and He Tiantian exchanged a smile and said, "We’re ready."
Flanked by their bodyguards, the grandmother and granddaughter safely disembarked the cruise ship.
Third Grandma Qi was on the petite side, so He Tiantian supported her the whole way, attracting quite a few glances.
However, everyone assumed Third Grandma Qi was a wealthy family’s matriarch because of her imposing presence.
Once ashore, there was a man resembling a butler holding a large sign, who bowed slightly, smiling warmly, "Is this Old Madam Qi?"
Huo Yingjun stepped forward and replied with a smile, "Yes, we are the Qi Family from Singapore!"
"We are from the Zhao Family of Hong Kong. Old Madam heard that Old Madam Qi was arriving today and specifically sent me to pick you up. May we leave now?" the middle-aged butler-like man said, very respectfully.
"Then please lead the way, thank you," Huo Yingjun politely said; this was also to deflect any suspicion.
Having boarded the car, they drove for a little over an hour to arrive at a beautifully situated villa.
"Old Madam, Miss, we’ve arrived," said Huo Yingjun. "This is the Zhao Family’s villa; they are prominent Hong Kong businessmen. We’ll be staying with them for a few days."
For the sake of this act, Old Madam Zhao even came over personally today to host a banquet and entertain you!
This is the Huo Family’s ally in Hong Kong!
After getting out of the car, a group of servants surrounded a portly old lady as she approached.
He Tiantian, assisting Third Grandma Qi from the car.
"My sister has arrived, and I haven’t come out to meet you from afar; please forgive me..." Old Madam Zhao paused, finding Third Grandma Qi very familiar but couldn’t recall who she was at the moment.
Third Grandma Qi had a strong mental fortitude; facing Old Madam Zhao who was so warmly hospitable despite having never met before, she responded neither humbly nor arrogantly, smilingly saying, "You are too kind, sister!"
However, Third Grandma Qi also felt that the old lady in front of her looked familiar.
But now, in front of everyone, nobody dared to say more, and together they entered the villa.
"Knowing that my sister is tired from the journey, let’s have a simple lunch; we will have a more lavish dinner," said Old Madam Zhao with a smile, though even the so-called simple meal was lavishly spread across the table.
Knowing that Third Grandma Qi might not be used to using a knife and fork, chopsticks were provided immediately.
"Thank you for the trouble, sister," Grandma Qi said with a smile; the meal was enjoyed by hosts and guests alike.
After having the meal, Third Grandma Qi and He Tiantian went to rest in the room.
Third Grandma Qi was deep in thought, remaining quietly contemplative.
"Grandma, what’s wrong? It seems like ever since we came here, you’ve stopped talking," asked He Tiantian, very curious.
When outsiders were around, He Tiantian could understand Third Grandma Qi’s behavior.
But now, with no outsiders present, and only the two of them, why was Third Grandma Qi still not speaking?
"I find that Old Madam Zhao looks familiar, but it’s been too long, and I can’t remember at the moment," Third Grandma Qi murmured, she usually did not have such feelings; that’s why she was still immersed in her own memories.
"Grandma, though the world is full of wonders, it’s unlikely that every person you meet is someone you know! There are not so many coincidences in the world!" He Tiantian declared, "Alright, you must be tired; let me help you with your bath!"
Third Grandma Qi felt that He Tiantian made sense and nodded, saying, "You are right, there are no such coincidences in the world."
Old Madam Zhao, not far away, did not take her usual afternoon nap, but instead stood gazing out of the window!
"Old Madam, it’s time for you to rest," a servant said softly, reminding the Old Madam to take a break.
"Go on, you may leave," Old Madam Zhao waved her hand, dismissing the servant.
When alone, Old Madam Zhao continued her contemplation.
Both elder ladies harbored such doubts, yet neither took a step forward to clarify.
After staying three days in Hong Kong, Huo Yingjun and his entourage boarded a plane to Country M.
After their departure, Madam Zhao suddenly realized and exclaimed, "I remember now, she is..."
"Old Madam, who do you remember?" the servant questioned, quite curious since the Old Madam was usually so composed and rarely exhibited such surprise.
Madam Zhao, thinking of Huo Yingjun’s identity and considering the person at his side, decided it was not something to discuss in front of others. When the opportunity arose, she was determined to ask Huo Yingjun.
