Chapter 517: Chapter 517 Various Magical Methods_1

At a certain massive waterfall in the Dragon Mountain Range, a hefty hemp rope hung from above, carrying two women and one man, swinging in the wind with quite a flair.

Below the trio, within a cave, a weirdly-shaped lizard covered in scales paced back and forth, its bloodthirsty gaze occasionally turning towards the ’delectable treats’ hanging in mid-air.

"When is this guy going to leave?" Jing Yi grumbled. "It’s been half an hour already."

Zhang Xian frowned, saying, "Not sure, it seems pretty patient."

"Can you still hold on?" Jing Yi’s beautiful face was slightly flushed.

Half an hour had passed and she had been pressed face to face against Zhang Xian. She could feel the heat radiating off each other’s bodies and even sense the warm bursts of breath washing over her face. To say it was awkward would be an understatement.

"I can, even if we hang here all day, it’s no problem." Zhang Xian laughed confidently.

Having strength comparable to the Grandmaster Realm, a minor difficulty like this wouldn’t trouble him at all. The weight of the two people was practically negligible to him.

"Well, that’s good!" Jing Yi let out a long sigh.

Hanging like this non-stop, she feared that Zhang Xian wouldn’t be able to hold on much longer. If he became exhausted, pulling himself and her up would be as difficult as scaling heaven. More importantly, she hadn’t anticipated the thing below to have such patience.

"Jing Yi, could you please stop breathing in my face? It’s making me uneasy." Zhang Xian said in frustration.

Jing Yi rolled her eyes at Zhang Xian, snapped back, "You’ve been uneasy way too many times already. What else do you want?"

"Ahem... it’s only natural," Zhang Xian was slightly embarrassed.

Jing Yi seethed, "Can you not touch me with that dreadful thing of yours? It’s extremely uncomfortable."

The corners of Zhang Xian’s mouth twitched unnaturally, as he asked, "Jing Yi, do you think that I’m comfortable like this? Why don’t you climb up? I can hang here alone."

"I’m not going up." Jing Yi showed no intention of climbing up. From here to the peak, the distance was significant, and climbing up and down was very strenuous.

Zhang Xian curled his lip, "Then what are you complaining about?"

"You..." Jing Yi looked away.

Zhang Xian chuckled and said, "Jing Yi, I didn’t notice it earlier, but holding you for such a long time, I suddenly realized a serious problem - it seems you need to lose some weight."

Jing Yi turned and glared at Zhang Xian saying angrily, "What do you mean? Am I very fat?"

"A bit, I suppose!" Zhang Xian replied.

Jing Yi shot back, "Nonsense! I’ve always been slim."

"Your chest is on the larger side." Zhang Xian chuckled.

Jing Yi’s face darkened as she looked at Zhang Xian. In her eyes, it was as if a violent inferno had ignited and any moment she would send it flying towards Zhang Xian to incinerate him completely.

"Ahem... it was just a joke, don’t get angry. I am just trying to pass the boring time." Zhang Xian said.

Jing Yi turned away, not wanting to deal with Zhang Xian.

The time, minute by minute, slowly passed. In the distant horizon, the red sun was about to disappear behind the mountains.

"Roar..."

Finally, the huge lizard below lost its patience. It growled, and disappeared into the cave.

"Phew..." Jing Yi breathed a sigh of relief on seeing this.

This stubborn beast, which had tenaciously kept them in sight all afternoon, had finally lost its patience. Though the creature looked a bit desolate as it left, to her, it didn’t appear pitiful in the slightest.

Zhang Xian looked at Jing Yi gravely, "Jing Yi, do you like to breathe on people’s faces? This afternoon alone, how many times have you done it?"

"If you don’t say anything, no one will think you’re a mute," Jing Yi retorted angrily. "The damn lizard has finally gone in. Let’s think of a way to get down there before it comes out again."

Zhang Xian chuckled and said, "You go down."

Jing Yi rolled her eyes at Zhang Xian, and began to climb down, her face once again coming to level with Zhang Xian’s crotch.

"Uh..."

Zhang Xian shuffled his somewhat stiff body. But when he felt a certain part of him touching something soft, he instinctively stopped moving.

"Zhang Xian... are you looking to die?" Jing Yi’s eyes were spitting fire.

This despicable guy had the audacity to place his detestable thing against her face! Could he be any more shameless?

"Ahem, it was an error, truly an error," Zhang Xian hastily coughed and said. "Here, give me your right hand and hold the rope with your left. I’ll swing you into the cave in one motion."

Jing Yi raised her right hand, gripping Zhang Xian’s palm, while her left hand held onto the hemp rope.

The corners of Zhang Xian’s mouth twitched again, and he asked, "Jing Yi, holding it like this, do you think I can swing you far enough into the cave? At least you should estimate the distance to the cave, right?"

Jing Yi was shocked and hastily pulled the rope back, leaving enough length. If she held it the way she had, Zhang Xian would have only been able to swing her about a meter’s distance.

"Ah! I’m so tired!" Luo Shuining complained from above.

Zhang Xian smiled and shouted up, "Hold on a little longer, girl. We’ll be able to move soon."

"Okay!" Luo Shuining answered.

Zhang Xian turned to Jing Yi and asked, "Jing Yi, are you ready now?"

"I’m ready." Jing Yi answered.

Zhang Xian nodded, and after swinging Jing Yi’s right hand a few times, he flung her towards the cave in a swift motion.

Jing Yi’s gaze focused, and she twirled gracefully in mid-air, her moves displaying elegance and flair as she landed in the cave. However, in trying to dissipate her momentum, she lost her footing. She made a few circles before ramming her head into a stone, leaving her dizzy and causing a small red bump to form on her forehead.

"Zhang Xian..."

A roar erupted, Jing Yi clutched her forehead, squinting fiercely, "Did you do that on purpose? There’s so much space over there, why did you have to throw me towards the wall?"

"This...how is this my fault?" Zhang Xian said with a wry smile, "You landed where you landed, why did you have to twirl around? There’s a time and place to flaunt your figure, isn’t there?"

Jing Yi was pissed, "Damn it, Zhang Xian, you..."

"Well, ma’am, if I were you, I’d hurry up and tie the rope" Zhang Xian rubbed his nose, "The big guy inside, well, it’s just the type that likes mature women like you."

Jing Yi roared, "Who are you calling an old lady?"

"Did I say ’old lady’? Or did you just hear it that way because that’s how you think of yourself?" asked Zhang Xian.

Jing Yi stared at Zhang Xian as though she wanted to kill him on the spot with her glare.

"Um, the big guy is coming out," Zhang Xian warned.

Jing Yi was not a little frightened and quickly scampered over to a large protruding rock, circling it twice and tying the rope around it.

Zhang Xian pulled the rope and slid down smoothly, landing rather stylishly in the cave.

Following him, Luo Shuining also slid down. Having swung in the wind for several hours in mid-air, it felt completely different to be back on solid ground.

"Let’s go in!" Zhang Xian said.

Jing Yi frowned and asked, "Didn’t you just say that the big guy was coming out? Why are we going inside?"

"I fooled you," Zhang Xian replied.

Jing Yi was stunned, and her face turned ashen, "Zhang Xian, you... are always so annoying..."

Zhang Xian just grinned and didn’t respond, simply marching onward.

After a while, both he and Jing Yi, along with Luo Shuining, wore odd expressions. Inside this huge waterfall, there was another smaller waterfall. That is to say, there was a river beneath the river.

"What a strange place indeed," Zhang Xian couldn’t help but marvel at the wonders of nature. If word of this place got out, it would certainly cause a stir.

Obviously, this place was not meant for just anyone to visit. One could die without a clue how or why. Right now, there was a big guy in here who could spring out at any moment.

"It’s so beautiful!" Luo Shuining’s eyes lit up.

Jing Yi was also looking around. But while she was enjoying the scenery, she was also searching for traces of the Thousand-Leaf Flower.

Their master had only told them that the Thousand Leaf Grass was located within this cave but didn’t specify where.

"Huh?" Zhang Xian abruptly stopped, puzzled, "Where’s the big guy gone? Could it be that this cave has many passages, or that it extends a great distance?"

Jing Yi frowned, "What do you mean?"

"The cave is enormous. Generally, there wouldn’t be two big guys in the same territory, but there’s no absolute certainty in life. We need to be careful," Zhang Xian advised.

Upon entering, he used his spiritual energy to survey the area but found no trace of the big guy.

"Okay, let’s first look for the Thousand-Leaf Grass!" Jing Yi suggested.

Zhang Xian nodded in agreement and continued their journey.

...

That night, inside a cave somewhere in the Dragon Mountain Range, they couldn’t see their hand before their face in the pitch black darkness.

Zhang Xian leaned against the cave wall, with Luo Shuining and Jing Yi sleeping on his shoulders, one on each side, snoring peacefully.

After a long, exhausting day and nearly half of it spent hanging from a rope, the two women were worn out. Seemingly finding it comfortable to sleep leaning up against Zhang Xian, they snuggled up to him without even asking.

"Ah..." Zhang Xian felt somewhat conflicted.

Not to mention that there was nothing he could do with two women in his arms, he was even wasting his time just sitting there.

However, he had his spiritual energy to rely on, which allowed him to move about even in the dark as though it were broad daylight, unlike the two women. The cave was dim to begin with, and it got even darker at night, making it impossible to move around.

"Mmm..."

Suddenly, Luo Shuining’s brows furrowed slightly and she murmured in her sleep.

A short while later, her frowns grew deeper, her body started to tremble slightly, and she was burning up. Sweat beads the size of soybeans rolled down from her cheeks incessantly.

"Is this girl falling sick?" Zhang Xian startled, he held Luo Shuining and asked, "Hey girl, what’s wrong?"

Luo Shuining moaned, "It hurts, so painful."

"Sigh..."

Zhang Xian heaved a sigh and quickly took out Golden Needle, blocking a few of Luo Shuining’s acupoints. He then placed his hand on her back and infused a pure spiritual energy into her body.

"Oh..." Luo Shuining let out a moan.

Quickly, she felt the pain easing. Although it hadn’t completely disappeared, it was now bearable.

"Um..." Jing Yi was woken up suddenly.

Finding herself leaning against Zhang Xian, she quickly sat up straight, looking somewhat embarrassed.

Noticing something was amiss, she turned to look at Luo Shuining, asking, "Shuining, you... You’re having an attack again? How do you feel?"

"It’s better." Luo Shuining said as she leaned on Zhang Xian, "It seems like Zhang Xian can help alleviate my pain. I feel much better. Usually, the pain lasts for a long time and it’s unbearable."

Jing Yi looked at Zhang Xian, a strange emotion flickering in her eyes.

This guy seems to be able to do anything! No one in Qing Shui Nunnery could cure Luo Shuining’s illness.

But Zhang Xian was able to ease Luo Shuining’s pain effortlessly. His skills impressed her. Despite his young age, Zhang Xian seemed like a seasoned wise man who had experienced many hardships.
