The Supreme Wild Young Master
Chapter 196: A Master Attacks_1

Chapter 196: Chapter 196: A Master Attacks_1

Zhu Yan regained her senses and hastily got off Zhang Xian, hurrying to pull up her pants.

At that moment, several white silhouettes appeared, all without the lower half of their bodies, floating in mid-air.

"Ah, brother-in-law..." Zhu Yan looked pale with fright, hugging Zhang Xian tightly.

If it weren’t for Zhang Xian being incredibly brave, she would likely have fainted from fear. The horror she encountered late at night was too much, with several ghosts drifting around.

"Hehe..." A strange laughter echoed.

The floating figures slowly approached Zhang Xian and Zhu Yan, stretching out their hands with long nails.

"Damn, is this... a ghost?" Suddenly, Wang Lei came rushing over.

Zhu Yan turned her head. Seeing Wang Lei, she seemed surprised, asking, "You... why are you here?"

"I saw you two leave and I was worried, so I followed." Wang Lei focused his gaze on the hovering ghosts, laughing coldly. "Don’t worry, Yan Yan. I’ve previously learnt some skills from an accomplished master that can handle these ghosts easily. I won’t let you worry or be afraid. I’ll handle this for you."

Zhu Yan was puzzled: "You... you’ve learnt this?"

Wang Lei patted his chest, saying, "Of course, aren’t they just some unruly ghosts? As long as I’m here, they can’t stir up any trouble."

"Then I’ll have to trouble Young Master Wang."

Zhang Xian chuckled, took Zhu Yan’s hand, and began to leave. "Yan Yan, since Young Master Wang said he could handle it, we shouldn’t stay here to get in the way and hinder him."

Zhu Yan said, "But what about... Wang Lei?"

Zhang Xian laughed, saying, "It’s okay. Didn’t he just say those unruly ghosts are not a big deal?"

Zhu Yan was initially worried about Wang Lei and thought about asking Zhang Xian for help. But seeing Wang Lei was indeed relaxed about it, she didn’t say anything more.

She really didn’t like Wang Lei, but all things considered, he was helping her and it wouldn’t be right to just leave him.

"Damn, what’s going on?" Wang Lei saw that Zhang Xian and Zhu Yan had left like that and did not regain his senses for a long time.

The ’ghosts’ hovering in the air also hadn’t regained their senses, standing still in place unsure of what to do. They also didn’t understand why the youngster was not afraid just now.

The corner of Wang Lei’s mouth twitched, and he shouted: "Why are you still standing here like a tombstone? Hurry up and get lost!"

The ’ghosts’ came to, and quickly dispersed.

"Brother-in-law, just leaving like this ... is it too unkind?"

After thinking for a while, Zhu Yan suddenly stopped and said, "Should we go back and check?"

"What’s there to see?" Zhang Xian laughed and said, "Do you really believe those guys are ghosts and that Wang Lei learned from a accomplished master? Let alone that this stuff can’t be learned by ordinary people, would a guy like Wang Lei even learn such nonsense? You’re so gullible. Those guys were actually just actors arranged by Wang Lei, in an attempt to play the hero saving the damsel in distress."

Zhu Yan’s eyes widened, asking, "Really? Weren’t those ghosts floating in mid-air?"

Zhang Xian said, "That’s because you couldn’t see what was underneath them. They were actually standing on something with weeds covering it, which is not visible in the nighttime."

"He’s despicable! I can’t believe I was worried about him," Zhu Yan said angrily.

The truth was out and she no longer had any intention of intervening with Wang Lei, choosing instead to return to the tents with Zhang Xian. Ghosts and ghouls were entirely unconvincing.

"Damn it, what are they doing out so late?"

"Damn! Zhang Xian couldn’t have taken Zhu Yan out for a field battle, right? So enviable!"

Seeing that Zhang Xian and Zhu Yan took a while to return, their classmates looked at them with strange expressions. Two people going out so late together - what could they be up to? Certainly, nothing purely innocent.

Lin Ruoyi knew about Zhang Xian and Zhu Yan’s relationship, so she wasn’t speculating wildly.

Du Xinyan, unaware, believed the classmates’ words and thought Zhang Xian and Zhu Yan had gone out to make out, causing her to scorn Zhang Xian for some time.

"Brother-in-law, I..." Zhu Yan was struggling with the situation.

She had just gone out to take a pee, asked Zhang Xian to accompany her, walked a bit far and encountered something interesting that had delayed them a bit! What were her classmates thinking?

Zhang Xian rubbed his nose and chuckled, "Who cares what they think? As long as we know we’re innocent."

...

That night, a slight breeze blew, carrying a thread of coolness.

Since everyone was tired from the day’s activities, nobody chatted late into the night, and everyone retreated to their tents early. The once lively mountaintop quickly fell silent.

Zhang Xian didn’t bring a tent and had no intention of joining Zhu Yan, even though she invited him.

He lit a cigarette and sat on a tree, looking at the still flashing neon lights of Yantai in the distance.

"Swoosh..."

Suddenly, a figure shot out from the darkness and stopped in front of a tent.

Zhang Xian looked down and furrowed his brows.

Judging from the speed just now, the strength of this guy in front of him seemed pretty good, probably not inferior to the three post-heavenly masters he had previously encountered. Why would such an entity show up here?

The shadowy figure, unaware that he was discovered, walked up to a tent and peered inside. Then, he moved on to another.

Zhang Xian initially thought the shadow was just passing by, but it seemed to be targeting someone among them, unsettling him.

Jumping down from the tree, he folded his arms around his chest and laughed: "Friend, what are you doing?"

The shadow turned his head, his gaze shooting straight at Zhang Xian, seemingly surprised.

He hadn’t noticed anyone outside when he arrived. How did this guy appear? If he went out earlier and has just returned now, then this guy could be tough to deal with.

He hadn’t noticed the approaching shadow behind him. This suggested that his opponent was also a master.

Zhang Xian asked: "Are you mute?"

The shadow regaining his wits, said: "Friend, I’ve just come to find someone. I don’t want to hurt the innocent, don’t force my hand."

Zhang Xian sneered, "You seem very confident."

The shadow didn’t respond, but coldly asked: "Who is Zhang Xian?"

"This guy is looking for me?" Zhang Xian was taken aback and then said, "I am Zhang Xian. What good news do you have for me? Don’t tell me you have been contracted to kill me?"

"You are Zhang Xian?" The shadow said, then, like a released arrow, he shot at Zhang Xian. At the same time, a shimmering cold dagger appeared in his hand.

The seven-meter distance was covered almost in an instant. The dagger in his palm swooped in like lightning, aiming for Zhang Xian’s throat.

"This guy’s not slow. His attacks are swift, ruthless, and precise; a tough opponent." Zhang Xian leaned back, dodged the slicing dagger, and countered with a kick to the black figure’s head.

The shadow’s face had a slight change. He rolled away from the knife strike, and moved aside quickly while looking at Zhang Xian in surprise.

He’d already pushed his speed to the limit, aiming for a one-strike kill. Surprisingly, Zhang Xian managed to dodge it and even launched a counter-attack.

He’d moved so fast, the simple act of avoiding his strike was impressive. Being able to react fully within such a short time was absolutely insane.

"You’re strong, interesting."

After standing back up, the shadow licked his dagger, circled around Zhang Xian, and readied himself for another attack.

Zhang Xian stood still, not even turning his head to track his opponent’s movement, "You’re pretty good too, but unfortunately, you’re no match for me."

"That’s still uncertain." The shadow smirked coldly but didn’t attack.

At this moment, Zhang Xian stood still, theoretically exposing his whole body. Yet, the shadow seemed frustrated, unable to figure out where to strike.

"Since you’re not moving, I guess I will." Noticing that the shadow had been circling him without striking, Zhang Xian suddenly sprang into action.

His speed wasn’t exceptionally fast, but his steps were strange. Every step he took could change direction at any moment and wouldn’t be affected no matter how it changed.

"This guy is strong. No wonder the Seventh was waste, and the Sixth were afraid to make a move; even with the two of them combined, they’re far from his match." The shadow was quite frightened and tried to dodge.

At this moment, Zhang Xian suddenly changed direction and landed a punch.

"Boom..."

With no time to dodge, the shadow was hit squarely. The force of the punch sent him flying before crashing into a tree.

"Ah..."

Du Xinyan, who was about to sneak out of the tent for a nature call, saw this and screamed.

Perhaps her scream was too loud; soon enough, quite a few students crawled out of their tents. Zhu Qing and Lin Ruoyi, who were awakened by Du Xinyan’s scream, also ran out.

"Cough, cough..." The shadow leaning against the tree, coughed out some blood, then turned and fled.

Zhang Xian took a step forward to give chase.

However, he soon stopped.

Had he truly decided to pursue, the guy would certainly not have escaped. But Zhu Yan was still here. Since someone came looking for him, likely there might also be someone looking for Zhu Yan. He couldn’t leave now.

Who knew, could this be someone’s ploy to lure the tiger from the mountain, while aiming to attack Zhu Yan with him absent?

"Zhang Xian, what’s going on?" Zhu Yan asked.

Zhang Xian shook his head and said, "It’s nothing, you all go back to sleep. I’ll keep watch here."

On hearing this, the students didn’t ask any more and returned to their tents. With Zhang Xian, a master, present, they weren’t too worried. He had dealt with that guy just now, hadn’t he?

Du Xinyan hadn’t gone back in yet, and just stood there, unsure of what to do.

Initially, she wanted to go relieve herself alone, but something unexpected occurred. She was now scared to go alone. What if that guy had accomplices, wouldn’t she be...

Thinking about this, she shuddered uncontrollably and looking at Zhang Xian she said, "Hey, Zhang Xian. You... you accompany me to take a pee."
