Chapter 582 - 594 Buddy
Chapter 582: Chapter 594 Buddy
After playing for a while longer, everyone’s faces were almost fully marked, yet their interest remained high. By this time, the alcohol had hit harder, and the drunkenness was even more pronounced.
Lyndia Miller belched from the alcohol and, with bleary eyes, said, "No, we need to switch things up."
Lily Fisher shook her head, her eyes fixed on John Brown, and said, "Alright, let’s play a bit more thrillingly."
Emily Smith giggled and asked, "How can it be more thrilling?"
Lily Fisher blinked and said, "This time, each of us writes four notes, each note containing a dare for one of the other four people. In the end, each will have four tasks to complete. Whoever loses draws a note and follows the instructions on it."
Lyndia Miller and Emily Smith immediately cheered in agreement, while Lucy Campbell and James Brown exchanged glances. They weren’t afraid of losing, just worried about the difficult challenges these three girls might set for them. Lyndia Miller then asked, "What if someone doesn’t follow the instructions on the note?"
Lily Fisher snorted and said, "Then we won’t consider her a friend anymore. From then on, we’ll act like we don’t know her and kick her out of our crew."
Lyndia Miller and Emily Smith agreed wholeheartedly, then all three looked at James Brown and Lucy. Emily Smith giggled and said, "Cousin, brother-in-law, what’s up? Are you scared?"
Lucy rubbed her forehead and said, "It’s so late, and we’ve had so much to drink. Can we not play and just rest? Besides, look at James; he’s really tired today, so let him get some proper sleep first."
Lily Fisher immediately shouted, "No way, no way! If James doesn’t play, where’s the fun in that?"
Lyndia Miller chimed in, "Exactly, Lucy, don’t be such a spoilsport. I mean, James, are you a man, or are you afraid of us?"
Seeing the determination in the three of them, James Brown realized there was no way out of playing, especially as everyone was having a great time. So he chuckled and said, "What do I have to fear from you? Bring it on."
Emily Smith immediately went to get some paper, tore it into twenty pieces, and everyone took four. Then, they wrote the names of others on them, along with the tasks they wanted them to do.
The three girls could go overboard, but John Brown couldn’t go too far. So, the condition for four people was the same: crawl three laps on the bed and imitate a puppy barking.
Watching Lily Fisher, Lyndia Miller, and Emily Smith with excitement on their faces, occasionally glancing at him and then at others with mischievous looks, John Brown finally understood. These three weren’t just after him; they wanted to trick each other too. This could be interesting, watching the three girls scheme against one another was something to look forward to.
Finally, all the notes were written. Mary Carlton said, "John Brown, everyone put the notes about John Brown here."
Everyone gathered the notes for John Brown together, then grouped the notes for each person.
Lily Fisher shuffled the cards while grinning at the group and said, "Now we’re playing for real, no mercy for anyone."
Lyndia Miller chuckled and said, "That’s right, I can’t take care of you guys this time."
Emily Smith raised an eyebrow and said, "This time, everyone for themselves. I don’t want to be the unlucky one."
These three were clever and knew each would try to trick the others. So if any of them helped another, they’d likely end up sabotaging themselves.
Lily Fisher finished shuffling the cards and said with a grin, "Alright, let’s begin."
Everyone started drawing cards, and the first round officially began.
John Brown’s cards weren’t particularly good or bad. He couldn’t compete for first place, but as the game progressed, he managed to be the third to play a card. Lucy Campbell had decent cards and was the second to play all her cards. Interestingly, despite Lily Fisher being the most confident, her cards were the weakest, leaving her in last place.
In this game, first place didn’t have any advantages; only the last person had to draw a note.
Seeing Lily Fisher lose, Lucy Campbell burst into laughter and said, "See, caught in your own trap; you’re the first loser."
Lily Fisher was unbothered, tossed her head back, and said, "A loss is a loss, I’ll lead by example." Then she closed her eyes and randomly drew one note from her four.
Lyndia Miller snatched the slip of paper and read aloud, "Make Lily Fisher crawl on the bed three times and bark like a dog."
Everyone burst into laughter, and Lyndia Miller pointed at James Brown, saying, "This slip is definitely written by James Brown."
James Brown touched his nose and laughed, "What now? Are you refusing to do it?"
Lily Fisher gave James Brown a contemptuous look and said, "This is such a childish condition. I played this when I was five. What is it even, woof!" With that, she got down on the bed and, before crawling, imitated a dog’s bark crisply.
Lily Fisher used both hands and feet to crawl half a circle on the bed, reaching James Brown’s side. She then barked at him once more, crawling slowly over him. Her shoulders brushed against his chest, and as she crawled past, she playfully shook her round bottom like a little dog trying to please its owner, missing only a twitchy tail.
Lily Fisher’s actions almost gave James Brown a nosebleed. It was simply too seductive. Any man in this situation would certainly find their mind wandering.
Luckily, James Brown managed to control himself without showing it too much on his face, or else it would have been embarrassing. He deeply regretted suggesting this condition, as he never expected that crawling and barking like a dog could turn out so alluring. He wished he’d just let them mimic a dog bark casually instead.
Lily Fisher finally completed three rounds before sitting down and proudly declaring, "Come on, let’s go again and see who loses this time."
They started playing again, and this time, Emily Smith lost. This girl also picked a slip from her set of four, and to her surprise, it also required her to bark like a dog.
"No way, such a coincidence?" James Brown rubbed his nose, refusing to believe that all three others had written dog-barking tasks.
Lily Fisher pursed her lips and said, "James Brown, you didn’t write all of them about barking, did you?"
James Brown let out a dry laugh and said, "Well, it was your precision in picking them. I’m curious to see what conditions you all came up with."
Emily Smith had already started crawling on the bed, and just like James Brown, she was eating at his expense. However, her bottom wasn’t as sexy as Lily Fisher’s, nor did she tease him by wiggling it enticingly. The impact on James Brown wasn’t as strong, but having a beautiful woman crawl in front of him three times and taking advantage of him was definitely enough to make any man flustered.
By the third round, James Brown’s luck had run out. Holding a disordered hand, his best card couldn’t top a ten. Emily Smith, being the player before him, had no small cards. He didn’t get a chance to play his cards, and by the time the others were done, he still had six or seven cards left, all low in value.
"Haha! It’s finally your turn!" Lily Fisher, Emily Smith, and Lyndia Miller were ecstatic, immediately placing James Brown’s four slips of paper before him. However, Lily Fisher quickly collected the slips again, saying, "No way, no way, this guy’s too cunning. He can even outsmart a shark; there’s a chance he remembered what’s on the slips, or figured out which one Lucy Campbell wrote, and she might go easy on him. Turn your head away first."
Lily Fisher hit the nail on the head. When James Brown was collecting the slips, he indeed remembered which one was written by Lucy Campbell, and he knew she’d ensure he wouldn’t be humiliated. But despite having drunk quite a bit, Lily Fisher remained sharp and was quite difficult to deal with.
James Brown had no choice but to turn his head, and then he heard Lily Fisher say, "Now the four of us each hold a slip, and let James Brown choose. Whoever he picks will present their slip, ensuring he can’t cheat."
Once they each picked a slip, James Brown was allowed to turn back, and Lily Fisher said with a smile, "Alright, you can choose now. Among us four beauties, pick anyone you like."
James Brown was at a loss now. From their expressions, it seemed even they didn’t know whose slip they held. He would have to rely on luck. Meanwhile, Lucy Campbell wore a helpless expression, which led James Brown to overlook her. If Lucy had her own slip, she might have given him a hint.
He glanced over Lily Fisher, Emily Smith, and Lyndia Miller, all standing with their backs turned, looking at James Brown smugly.
"Come on, Brother-in-law, choose one. It’s not that hard, is it? Don’t worry; what we have you do won’t be too difficult." Emily Smith winked at James Brown.
Lily Fisher laughed and said, "It might not be hard, but it’s fun. Now you’re choosing which of us gets to play with you."
Lyndia Miller chuckled and said, "Don’t talk nonsense. Haven’t you seen Lucy rolling her eyes there? That’s her precious husband, after all. It’s fine to tease, but if you really mess with him, Lucy won’t be happy."
Lucy Campbell rolled her eyes at the trio and said, "You three just go on with your antics; sooner or later, you’ll get yourselves tangled up."
All afternoon, James Brown was teased and taken advantage of by the three ladies. By now, he’d gotten used to it, and with the influence of alcohol, he took none of their excessive words seriously. He laughed and said, "Alright then, let’s see who’s lucky. Emily, I’ll pick you."
Emily Smith exclaimed excitedly and immediately took out the slip behind her, unfolded it, and read, "Make James Brown feed Lucy Campbell a grape."
Upon hearing this, James Brown burst out laughing, and Lucy Campbell grinned as well. Indeed, it was what she had written. But after laughing, she felt a twinge of concern. This was only the beginning, and later, she would invariably have to draw slips written by the three girls. James Brown might dodge the first round, but he couldn’t escape all the time.
