Chapter 581: Chapter 593: Eating Tofu

John Brown really couldn’t handle Lucy Campbell’s kind of care, and quickly said, "Let me do it myself."

Lucy immediately retorted, "You’re so injured, how can you eat by yourself? Let me feed you."

John raised his arms and said, "I just have a minor scratch on my leg, it’s not serious, and my hands are perfectly fine."

Lily Fisher chuckled lightly, "Even if you can move, our Lucy wants to take care of you, doesn’t she? You were a big hero today, saving the three of us. If Lucy didn’t want to feed you, I would have."

John felt that Lily could indeed do such a thing, and Lyndia Miller and Emily Smith were also eager to try. Letting the three of them do it would be worse than Lucy, so he obediently opened his mouth.

Lucy gently blew on the fishbones in the spoon twice before bringing it to John’s mouth. After John ate it, she immediately scooped a second spoonful.

Soon, John finished a bowl of fishbones, something that didn’t actually have much flavor but had high nutritional value. Thanks to the chef’s handling, the taste was quite good.

After eating, it was already past six in the afternoon. The weather was getting cooler, so everyone went back to the villa. After such an exciting event in the afternoon, Lily and the others didn’t feel like going out again and decided to stay in, sitting in the living room watching TV.

By this time, everyone had put on clothes, while John wore large beach shorts, exposing his legs for better healing of his leg injury.

Lucy was taking good care of him, and the other three beauties were also hovering around John, making him the center of attention for the day.

Lily and her friends were lively and playful, having drunk some beer while having barbeque outside earlier. Feeling unsatisfied, they snacked while watching TV and drinking beer.

Drinking beer like this was quite enjoyable too. John didn’t drink much at first, but seeing his good tolerance, Lily initiated a drinking contest with him, and Lyndia and Emily joined in.

Lucy intended to stop them, but realizing John’s good tolerance and that she couldn’t stop her three friends once they started, the drinking escalated. Beer cans piled up as their faces turned redder. John’s physical constitution was excellent, as he usually had no problem with such beer. However, today’s physical exhaustion reduced his ability to process alcohol, so he was already somewhat drunk.

Lucy, though she didn’t drink much, had a low tolerance and was also getting tipsy.

In contrast, Lily, Lyndia, and Emily became more excited as they drank. These three girls shared a common trait: they wouldn’t fall asleep drunk but rather become more animated. Though they wouldn’t remember their drunken antics afterward, thankfully, they hadn’t reached that state yet, only becoming excited.

As the skies darkened, the lights came on inside. The beer was finished, much to Lucy’s relief, as she was getting drunk.

Lily and the others, not satisfied yet, couldn’t drink anymore and felt too bored to idle, so they suggested playing cards.

Lyndia and Emily immediately agreed. John smiled at Lucy, "You should play. Nothing’s stopping me; don’t think I’m too fragile."

Emily chuckled, "My cousin can’t be the only one playing. You must join us too."

"Am I included?" John asked with a smile.

"Of course, we need you. Otherwise, what’s the point?" Lily was already holding a deck of cards.

Lyndia glanced at John’s leg, "We should play upstairs. If you get tired, you can sleep, and won’t have to climb up later."

No one objected, so they all went upstairs to Lucy’s room.

John sat on the bed first. Lucy placed pillows at the headboard, allowing him to straighten his legs, and the others sat on the bed.

On a big bed, just one man, John, and four beauties made for quite a charming scene.

Lily expertly shuffled the cards, then cheerfully said to everyone, "Hey, what shall we play for tonight?"

Lucy rolled her eyes at them, "Let’s play for money; you guys just want to win some pocket change from me, don’t you?"

Although these three friends aren’t short on money, after all, their money is still just allowance from home, about ten or twenty thousand a month. For them, who spend lavishly, it’s not really enough. With someone like Lucy Campbell, who’s a big spender, they naturally wouldn’t let go of any opportunity. Whenever they’re short of money, they’ll come to Lucy for some card games to scam a bit of pocket money.

Lucy grew up with them, so she naturally knows them well. However, she never cares about this money and being with them also lightens her mood, so every time they come by, she plays with them and loses some money on purpose.

Lyndia Miller blinked and said, "Always winning is so boring, shouldn’t we change the game a bit?"

Linda Smith immediately said excitedly, "Sure, sure, so what should be the stakes?"

Lucy gave the three of them a sidelong glance and said, "What else could we bet, can’t be like when we were kids winning hand slaps and drawing on each other’s faces, right?"

Lily Fisher giggled and said, "Why not draw on faces, it’s quite fun, and it brings back childhood memories."

Lyndia and Linda quickly agreed excitedly, and Lucy could only shake her head with a wry smile at James, while James chuckled and said, "Then let’s play, I’ve never played like this before."

"Brother-in-law, just play, it’s really fun," Linda called out excitedly right away.

Lyndia went to grab an eyebrow pencil, and the five of them started playing.

The rules were very simple: the five of them played a fast-paced card game. Whoever was the first to play all their cards was the winner and got to draw on someone’s face, while the last person who finished was the one being drawn on.

And James had an unbelievably bad hand the first round, while Linda had an exceptionally good one, so naturally, Linda won, and James was the one getting drawn on.

Linda, holding the eyebrow pencil, said to James with a grin, "Brother-in-law, I won’t hold back."

James stuck out his face generously and said, "Go ahead."

Linda moved next to James, looking at his face up and down, then placed one hand on his shoulder and said, "Brother-in-law, you better not move."

"I won’t move, go ahead," James closed his eyes and kept his face still.

Linda giggled, leaned her face close to James’s, her breath practically hitting his face, and began drawing on it.

After she finished, Lily and the others giggled, and Lucy couldn’t help but snicker too. It turned out Linda had drawn a little turtle on James’s face.

James didn’t mind and started playing with them again, but he lost again, and this time, Lily won.

James could see now that winning was really tough for him; the three girls were basically ganging up. They wouldn’t contend with each other; whenever James or Lucy played a card, the three would immediately block, so even if he and Lucy helped each other, it was always two against three. Unless their cards were particularly good, there was no way they could win.

Lily, who had drunk the most that day, came to James’s side, and perhaps feeling a bit dizzy, fell directly onto James.

James quickly supported her, and Lucy immediately glared and said, "Lily, are you intentionally taking advantage of James?"

Lily laughed and said, "You caught me, I’m doing it on purpose, so what?" Then she comfortably leaned into James’s embrace and said with a giggle, "Come on, let me draw on you, and don’t you dare move."

James awkwardly raised his hands, unsure whether to push her away or not, and could only look to Lucy for help. But Lucy knew her mischievous friends too well; she couldn’t stop them at this point. The last time James was around, they hadn’t managed to tease him, and they definitely wouldn’t let it pass this time, so she just gave James a wry smile.

After drawing on James, Lily got out of his embrace and said with a grin, "Hey handsome, your arms are pretty nice, I kind of like them."

With Lily setting an example, Lyndia and Linda also went wild, either cuddling up to James or hugging his head so much that his head almost ended up buried in their chests. If it weren’t for his injured leg, they might’ve even sat on his lap.

At first, James was half-heartedly resisting, but as the alcohol took hold and the fun escalated, he became less restrained. Since he was already letting them take liberties, he thought it would be a waste not to return the favor, so he occasionally touched or pat them, which the three of them didn’t mind at all. They even teased Lucy with raised eyebrows when James did this.

Once James started loosening up, the girls no longer intentionally targeted him and played normally. This way, everyone had wins and losses, each ending up with a face covered in drawn lines. Looking at them now, none of them looked like beauties anymore; they each resembled funny characters, though their figures still hinted at their youthful age.
