Chapter 333: Chapter 331 Hitching a Ride

Nian Shutong looked at the man in front of her—could he really be a good person?

Before she could comprehend, the man in the seat spoke.

"Take the young lady back to her room, let her reflect on her actions behind closed doors, and cultivate peacefully without my permission, she is not allowed to come out."

"Yes."

A senior woman had been standing by; she stepped forward, grabbed the young lady’s arm, and no matter how the young lady struggled, it was futile.

"You’re not my dad! You’re not!"

"You liar, you promised my mom to take good care of me!"

The woman’s words instantly infuriated the man in the seat; he abruptly stood up and in front of everyone, he slapped her.

"Slap!"

The crisp yet dull sound silenced everyone.

The young lady, who had been making a scene, was stunned; she didn’t understand, why?

Before, he had always protected her; whenever she mentioned her mom, her dad would agree to anything she wanted.

Why?

The man’s nostrils flared, and his eyes unexpectedly welled up with blood vessels.

"You have no right to mention your mother."

In the man’s gaze, there was even a hint of hatred, which made the young lady opposite him feel a tremor of panic.

He knows?

No—it’s impossible, he couldn’t possibly know.

"Take the young lady back to her room." The man turned his back, his silhouette appearing somewhat forlorn as he sat back down in his chair, and as the woman was being led out, he spoke.

"I know now, the reason why your mother died."

"Be obedient; you’ll still be the young lady. If not, forget it."

At the doorway, the young lady’s shoulders suddenly went limp; her legs weakened and the robust woman dragged her out.

This woman had completely forgotten the existence of Nian Shutong and others because her support was gone.

She had been so arrogant at the transfer station because she had a guilt-ridden father.

And her father felt guilty because of her mother, who had died young.

But now, her support, her father, knew that her mother didn’t need to die; it was because of her fear, her cowardice. When they encountered the Star Thief, she pushed her mother, leading to her mother’s fatal injury.

The woman was taken away, and with her, her happy life.

At that moment in the hall, the man had gotten his emotions under control and looked down at those who had been watching the drama, almost ready to grab some snacks, and he asked,

"Does anyone know who sent me the message?"

Message?

Nian Shutong shook her head, quite naturally saying, "I don’t know; it wasn’t us."

Actually, she felt it must be Fu Yunhe, but why should she tell him?

Fu Yunhe, too, happily played dumb; indeed, it was he who had sent the message, revealing the arrogant lady’s act of pushing her mother to save herself as a kind of greeting gift.

The man’s gaze bore down heavily for a long time, but the people below included

the former highest Commander, an unbridled Nian Shutong, a simple Ha Ha, and a three-year-old Dou Dou.

The man didn’t find out anything and withdrew his gaze.

But since these people indeed showed no signs of energy fluctuation, he then said without a care,

"Today’s incident was not the fault of you all, but I need to maintain some decorum. I wonder whether you would be willing to cooperate."

Upon hearing this, Nian Shutong’s first reaction was, it seems he’s not a good person, which makes things easier, and she asked,

"How should we cooperate?"

The man in the high seat casually summoned the Guard Captain and said to him, "Take a few people to circle around the trash star."

The Guard Captain had no choice but to nod in agreement.

Trash star?

Wasn’t this exactly what Nian Shutong wanted? She happily agreed and said to the man in the high seat, "Okay, thank you."

With that one sentence, everyone in the room, aside from the four of them, looked at the group as if they were idiots.

Couldn’t you see that they didn’t want you blabber nonsense after seeing things you shouldn’t have seen, and did you really think it was that easy to leave?

And, who would be so happy and thankful about going to a trash star?

The man in the high seat seemed a bit hesitant as he looked at the group.

Were they truly not afraid, or was there another hidden reason?

Regardless, the man was not afraid.

The Transfer Station was independent of the families, and even if you came from a major family, you had to abide by the rules of the Transfer Station.

Without saying much more, the man let the Guard lead the group out.

Nian Shutong and the group, seemingly oblivious to anything, happily followed the Guard Captain.

The Guard Captain intended to say something but hesitated and eventually remained silent.

He led the group to where the starship was docked and showed a badge-like object to the person guarding it.

The guard, looking rather sympathetic towards Nian Shutong and her companions, opened the barrier ahead and said to the Guard Captain, "Take them on the cargo starship. It’s about to leave."

"Okay, thanks."

The Guard Captain led Nian Shutong and her companions towards the cargo starship.

At that moment, Nian Shutong had a few questions she wanted to ask Fu Yunhe, but since Fu Yunhe couldn’t communicate telepathically, she just asked simply,

"Will there be any problems? Should I knock out the people ahead?"

Fu Yunhe pursed his lips, smiled slightly, and shook his head.

Nian Shutong nodded in understanding, signaling that there was no need for now.

Four people and a little pig followed the Guard Captain onto the cargo starship, and he led them to a seating area.

"Sit here, and when you arrive at the trash star, get to work."

Nian Shutong obediently sat down but, not quite understanding, asked again,

"Is this what you mean by being reasonable? What does being unreasonable look like?"

"And why do you think, once we get to the trash star, we’d actually work and not try to escape?"

The Guard Captain had never met someone like Nian Shutong before.

"You’ll be going to a trash star specifically for prisoners, and you’ll be working in handcuffs and leg irons."

Nian Shutong’s eyes immediately shot towards Fu Yunhe — what was happening?

Fu Yunhe, holding the Little Pink Pig, used it to cover his face slightly, and said softly, "But I have you, don’t I?"

He wasn’t wrong, but she intended to recruit people, not work among prisoners. How could she recruit anyone?

Perhaps she could reform them by force? It wasn’t impossible, and she did quite like fighting.

"Very close."

Fu Yunhe added three more words, and Nian Shutong asked incredulously, "Really?"

"Really."

The Guard Captain didn’t quite understand the angle the two were playing at, but he himself didn’t dislike these people; he even felt they were somewhat innocent.

At that moment, the cargo starship began to move, and the group, sitting in their seats, excitedly looked at the scenery.

About an hour later, Nian Shutong asked, "How much longer will it take to arrive?"

The Guard Captain, with his eyes closed, looked at the tranquil group that seemed like they were going on a trip and wondered in his heart if they really had no strength at all.
