The Soul System in the Apocalypse
Chapter 375: Return

Chapter 375: Return

When they looked back, they realized that out of nowhere, a blue sphere had suddenly appeared and surrounded the main territory building. Additionally, the sphere was continuously expanding towards them.

Just as they were wondering what was going on, they received a message from Henry that the sphere that had appeared was the invisible territory barrier that was currently expanding after he had taken over the zombie territory.

Of course the only one who did not receive the information from Henry was Julie considering that there was not telepathic connection between her and Henry. So, Dylan went ahead and explained to her what was happening.

Of course Julie found this scenario quite familiar considering that during that time that she was back in Crystal City, she had observed as a blue sphere suddenly began expanding.

The group continued to resist, while at the same time, they began retreating towards the barrier. They wanted to utilize the advantage of the invisible barrier in order to deal with the zombies.

It might be true that they were capable of crushing the zombies, but just the sheer number of the zombies was enough to be able to exhaust the energy reserves that they possessed.

They were not going to fight against the zombies only. Instead, there existed members of the other races, and even humans that might be their enemies in the future. Who could tell if those enemies decided to attack right now?

The moment that they retreated back into the invisible barrier that was currently in the form of blue sphere, they finally felt relieved as they saw the group of zombies that touched the blue barrier being cut into pieces.

It did not matter the number of zombies that touched the barrier, but the moment that they did so, they were immediately decimated. It was as if they were facing a grinder.

Dylan and the others finally felt relieved. At this point, they finally focused their gazes towards the main territory building. At this point, they finally realized that something was changing about the main territory building.

The main territory building of the zombie territory had suddenly began transforming its color from blood red, turning to blue. For Julie, together with Storm, they could immediately tell that this was related to the Domination Star territory back in Crystal City.

Since Henry had taken over the territory, it was kind of expected that he was going to transform it, making it join the ranks of the territories that he possessed.

But if one observed carefully the expressions of all those that were observing the changes that were occurring here, only Julie, Lenta, and Storm seemed a little surprised.

As for Dylan, he looked like he was already expecting such a result. For Julie and the others, this was definitely the first time that they had heard that a person had taken over a territory that belonged to members of another race.

So far, although it was true that several territories had already been taken over, it was humans who were taking over the territories that were owned by other humans. That was the same thing that had happened in Lockwood City as Nancy took over the other territories present within the city.

But this was definitely the first time that a human was taking over a territory that belonged to members of the other races. It was not only due to the strength that the members of the other races possessed, but the humans themselves did not have the time to care much about the members of the other races when they themselves were already having internal conflict.

At this point, the eyes of the four shone with excitement and admiration. It seemed that they had gotten the right person to follow.

...

Henry and Adam both left the main territory building. They had to take Alicia back to the Trista territory first. Although it was true that Henry had already taken over this territory, it was not as good as Trista territory.

After all, in Trista territory, that was where their families were located. Additionally, the number of enemies that they were supposed to be facing was still the same. Although they had already dealt with the leader of the zombies, the number of zombies that were still remaining within the city was still high.

With the current combat power of Trista territory, they were definitely not capable of dealing with an attack from the military, the goblins, or from the monsters that were currently out of the city.

It was not that much difficult for Henry and the group to be able to leave this place and go back to Trista territory. It might be difficult for them to be able to hold back the large number of zombies, but when it came to clearing a path for themselves, that was quite easy.

Additionally, with their own strength and speed, they were able to avoid the zombies that were only at the gold rank being the strongest.

The moment that they went back to Trista territory, they found that the territory had already began being reorganized, as the results of the battle that had occurred not long ago were still being calculated.

Henry and the others did not care much about the changes that were occurring for now. Instead, Henry instructed Dylan, Storm and Lenta to be in charge of patrolling. They had to ensure that the territory was not attacked during this time.

As for themselves, they headed back home, wanting to meet with their families. Although they had already met them before, they did not have much time to reunite well.

The moment that they entered the main territory building, they realized that their own families were currently waiting for them on the ground floor of the building. They looked worried, as they understood that Henry and Adam had both gone to the Zombies’ territory in order to be able to bring back Alicia.

Even James, although relaxant, he had still come over to wait for Henry to come back. What could he do? After all, everyone in the family was worried about Henry. What could he do other than to follow?

The moment that Henry and Adam stepped into the main territory building, all those present immediately stood up. But of course, they were all attracted with the figure that Adam was currently carrying in his hands.

Cynthia’s eyes widened in disbelief the moment that she realized who it was that was being carried by Adam. Although it was true that the color of the hair had changed, but the outfit that Alicia was wearing during the time that she was setting out for battle was still the same.

"What happened to her? Please tell me that everything is okay with her!" Cynthia exclaimed as she rushed forward, and took Alicia out of Adam’s arms.

"You don’t have to be much worried. Although she is currently injured, there is a solution to be able to make her wake up again. But it is going to take us some time to be able to wake her up." Adam immediately responded to his mother.

Of course he did not tell her everything concerning Alicia’s current situation. There was a time limit that Alicia could survive if they did not find the mutation crystals.

Adam was not willing to see his mother worried, when she was supposed to be happy considering that the son that had disappeared long ago had finally returned. So, he decided to keep all this to himself, and continue dealing with the matter of trying to find the mutation crystals and give them to Henry to use them to wake Alicia up.

Cynthia was supposed to be relieved after hearing that. But the worry that was on her face told otherwise. In any case, although it was true that there was a better means that could be utilized in order to be able to wake Alicia up, but that was not going to imply that Alicia’s current condition was not good.

Cynthia could feel that Alicia’s heartbeat was extremely faint, as if it was going to stop at any moment. So, although she trusted Adam, she still could not help but worry about her daughter.

Luke came over to look at his daughter’s condition. Though, he could not take Alicia into his arms considering that Cynthia was still embracing Alicia. So, he looked at his son Adam, and felt that Adam was hiding something from them. Nevertheless, he did not say anything, and remained standing silently.

Henry on the other hand observed everything silently. Then, after a while, he looked towards Philip. This was Henry’s father. He was a man with black hair, currently wearing a black robe that made him look quite ancient.

He possessed a muscular stature, completely different from Henry’s figure. He had well trimmed beard on his face that slightly resembled that of Henry. His brown eyes looked like those of a thirsty scientist who was looking for more knowledge.

"It has been a good while son. I’m relieved that you are alright." Phillip stated with a calm voice. But of course, behind that calm voice of his, there was excitement that his son had finally returned.

It was just that the occasion right now was definitely not the best for a joyous mood, considering Alicia’s condition. So, Philip tried as much as possible to make sure that he matched the current situation.

Henry responded with a simple nod. According to his memories, his father was a man of a few words. But still, he could not help but wonder just how much his father had changed during the past 10 years.

Nevertheless, that was something that he was going to talk about later on. Right now, Henry decided to focus on the rewards that he had received from the system. That was especially so for the one that had been given to him with a time limit of 3 hours.
