Chapter 316: Intention of Merging

And just like that, the massive body of the zombie collapsed onto the ground, raising a small cloud of dust.

After killing the zombie, Adam was not excited. To him, this was considered normal. It was not as if he had never killed an apocalyptic creature that was a level or two above himself.

After he was done with killing the zombie, he went ahead and picked up the mutation crystal that was present within the head of the zombie. He had realized that recently, Henry was so much focused on collecting the gold rank mutation crystals.

Although he himself could not know what it was that the gold rank mutation crystals were capable of doing, but just considering the fact that it was way more difficult to be able to get them, as compared to the silver rank mutation crystals, he believed that they were capable of doing greater things.

Additionally, there was another thing that he knew was going to happen. And that was, waking up Sarah. She had been asleep before over a month right now. So, it was better if she was capable of coming back.

According to what Henry had said before, they required five level one gold rank mutation crystals in order to be able to wake up Sarah. Although he did not know the method that Henry was going to use, he understood that Henry was possessing several great abilities.

Although Henry had not told him about them, Adam understood one thing. There had to be a reason why Henry was not saying anything about the abilities that he was possessing.

It was already good enough that Henry did not hide the fact that he possessed those abilities from him. As for the matter of him knowing about what abilities they really were, Adam believed that if there was a chance, Henry would definitely tell him about them.

Simon who had been observing everything from the side was completely baffled. He had not expected that there was a person within the city that was this strong.

Until today, he believed that he was amongst the strongest people that were present within the entire city. Although it was true that there are zombies that were stronger than himself, he did not believe that there was another human that was much stronger himself.

But now, this unfamiliar young man was someone who had already broken the concept that he was having in his mind. Simon was in a state that he even forgot about the pain that he was feeling, completely forgetting about taking the healing potion that he was holding in his hand.

After taking the mutation crystal from the head of the zombie, Adam placed it inside his pocket. Then, he looked into the distance, where the zombies were completely being massacred.

Well, this was to be expected considering that those that were currently attacking were at the gold rank. So, dealing with silver rank zombies and below was not a problem for them.

Although Julie was an assassin, dealing with silver rank zombies, she did not need to hide her presence at all. Instead, she simply attacked the zombies directly.

Due to the attacks that were being launched by Julie and the others, the pressure that was on those that were in charge of defending reduced drastically. Inside the territory, those other zombies that had been transformed only after the descent of the third stage of the apocalypse, they had already been taken care of.

In just a matter of about 30 minutes, all the zombies inside the territory had been neutralized. The reason why this occurred so fast was simply because when Adam and the others arrived, they did not arrive when all the zombies were present.

They arrived about 2 hours later, just after a large number of zombies had been dealt with. So, it was not that difficult for them to be able to neutralize the remaining zombies. That was especially so considering that they had come over with jeeps, that were launching several attacks towards the zombies, blasting them in large numbers.

After everything was done, Simon finally approached Adam’s group. There was confusion on his face. The reason behind this being the fact that he could not see information on any of these people.

But of course, that only applied on the group of people that was in front. As for those that were behind them, he could see that they were just normal people. It was just that they possessed incredible equipment. Additionally, the skills that they had displayed during the time that they were dealing with the zombies was also a top notch higher.

"Thank you for your assistance. Without you, this territory would have already been destroyed by now. You have saved not only my life, but the lives of many people within the entire territory." Simon stated sincerely.

At this point, he did not have the pride of a leader of a territory, but instead, he was here as a person, completely honest with what he was saying.

He understood that currently, his current power level was definitely not enough to be able to compete with this group of people. Additionally, it was not as if this group had shown any malicious intentions towards him. They had enabled him and the territory to survive.

"There’s no need for you to say that. In any case, we came over because we were asked to do so. But of course, you are not expecting that we did this for free, right?" Adam waved his hand as he responded. Currently, the battle axe was on his shoulder, making him look intimidating.

Simon was not surprised when Adam asked the question that they didn’t do this for free. This was the apocalypse after all. And, it was during this time that almost everybody was selfish.

So, for this group of strong people to come over and help this territory of his, they had to possess their own motivations. It was like they were taking advantage of the fact that the territory that he ruled was in peril, that they decided to deal with the zombies to help them and profit from it.

Nevertheless, he did not point anything out. In any case, if they did not come over, they were going to be doomed. So, although they were having motives of their own, it was better if he understood what it was that they wanted first.

"I understand that. But I do wonder what it is that you would like to get from my territory? I do believe that we don’t have anything of great value that may interest people like you." Simon asked as he looked at Adam.

Not to mention the equipment that he was putting on, but even the skills that he possessed and the power level that he was in, there was definitely nothing that could match it within the territory.

Well, there were actually equipment that were at the same level as the ones that Adam, Julie, and Diana were putting on. It was just that since they were at the same level, why would they interest Adam’s group by a great margin?

"We came here with a single reason. And that is, we have to save you from being destroyed by the zombies. This is the time for the battle for domination. So, if humans continue surviving, then the chances of humans winning would be increased." At this moment, Diana finally spoke.

She understood that Adam was definitely not the best when it came to conversations. So, she decided to take over, although she herself was not that much better than Adam. As for Julie, it was better not to mention her, considering that she was the worst amongst the group when it came to conversations.

Without giving Simon a chance of saying anything, Diana continued. "We came here under the order of my master. We have only one intention, and that is to make sure that all the territories within this city are merged.

This will not only enable the territories to possess a great advantage over the zombies, well, at least a method of resisting them. Still, under the leadership of my master, it would not be troublesome to be able to deal with the zombies."

Simon was slightly surprised when he heard that Diana actually possessed a master. But thinking about the fact that she was not a human, but an elf, this was actually how it was supposed to be.

Unless the elves had decided that they were going to join the human race, there was definitely no way that there was going to be an elf that was going to stand on the side of the humans. This was the time for the battle for domination after all.

Although there were no members of other races within Lockwood city, that did not mean that Simon and the others did not know about the presence of the other races in this world.

But still, Simon could not help but think that the master of this elf was definitely a person that possessed a great dream. Didn’t he think that it was too big of a dream to be able to merge all the territories that were present within the city?

But this was just a momentary thought within Simon’s mind. In the next moment, just thinking of the power that this group of people possessed, it was definitely not much of a big dream for them to be able to merge all the territories.

In fact, as long as they wanted, they could just give information that they were in the gold rank, and they had decided to create a territory of their own. With many people realizing that there were many people within that territory that were capable of defending them, they would definitely rush there.

"Okay. I don’t have much trouble with that. But how are you going to be capable of merging all the territories with two territories already constructing their territorial buildings?" Simon sighed as he responded.
