Chapter 47: Chapter 47

TYLER POV

Carter gave me photos from the security camera’s out the front of the packhouse and I growled as soon as I saw a man holding my mate. But then I stood in my chair and glared at the photos.

"Why is she bleeding. You never said that she was bleeding." I growled out so loud that the windows shook.

"That’s what alerted me to the problem in the first place. One of them shot her while in the bedroom. I’m guessing she tried to use her powers because she was shot in the forearm. And then I guess that’s when they got her with the darts. But when they came out of the packhouse that women came up and she shot Tessa in the shoulder to prove that she would kill her if she had to." Carter explained cowering back from me.

"She should have healed from those gunshot wounds though." I say trying to calm myself down.

"They were silver bullets. I could smell the silver." Carter says. And I grabbed the side of my desk and threw it across the room and it shattered when it hit the wall.

The door to my office then opened and Carter and I both looked over.

"Temper, temper. Calm down." Angelo says from the door.

"How the fuck are you here? It’s daylight." I say confused.

"We got a limo. The back is very tinted and it drove straight into the garage which led us into the house." Angelo explained.

"Alright. Turn the light on." I say and I close all the blinds to make the room pitch black. Then Angelo walked into the room followed by Elias, Charles, Finn, Naomi and Ruby.

"What do we know?" Angelo asked getting right to the point. And I hand him the photos.

"She was shot with silver bullets and sedated with wolfsbane and something else that is getting analized at the lab now. We don’t know what it is." I explained.

Angelo started looking through the photos and then he dropped the rest of them when he saw the women standing there.

"Do you know her?" I asked.

"Katherine. She’s the one that killed Josiah’s pregnant wife before I turned him. She’s the one that broke his will. She’s also the one that turned me into a vampire." Angelo says.

"So, she had a thing for Josiah. Is that what you’re saying? Because Rogues were attacking a neighbouring pack and I was there helping them. They kept leaving photos of Josiah and this was the last one." I say handing him the photo of Tessa with the message on the back.

"You killed the one she loved so she took the one you loved." Angelo say.

"She killed his pregnant wife to break his will. So that it was easier for you to turn him into a vampire. He was the one that fought the most. He fought back against you. Almost killed you a couple times while you attacked him. He had a lot to live for until she died." Elias explained.

"Katherine was in love with Josiah. That was her plan all along. She had Josiah and we took him away." Naomi says.

"And now she has Tessa. What is she going to do to Tessa? Do you even know anything aobut this women?" I demanded.

"I know a lot about her. We spent years together after I turned my siblings and then we ran off together. But then she disappeared and I didn’t know why. I thought she was killed. But obviously not. She went running to my brother." Angelo explained.

"Wait a minute. Josiah was your brother. You never fucking told us that. He wanted to mate with his own fucking niece?" I screamed.

"Yeah. We didn’t say that he was stable." Ruby says.

"I don’t believe this. I can’t believe this. You never told Tessa who Josiah really was. You really are an asshole Angelo. She’s your fucking daughter. What are you going to do now that this psycho has her?" I demanded to know.

"We already have the word out. My siblings have a lot more friends than I do. And we are definitely using them to our advantage this time. We are making sure that they are looking for Tessa. But I will get this photo out to them. To tell them to look out for Katherine and these men that are with her." Angelo explained.

"I told you that we should have told them." Elias says.

"Well, you were right again good brother. I’m the bastard and you’re the good one." Angelo says.

"Yeah. That sounds about right." I scoffed out. " We followed them to a road where they had a car waiting. I’ve still got men out following that road. Hopefully it leads somewhere but we don’t know where they could have taken her. We don’t know how far they could have gone. Except that they took her at midnight. Which meant they could have only drive for four hours at the most before the sun started rising." I explained.

"Alright. That does narrow the distance time. But they could have turned off at any road or stopped in any town or city. That is still a large distance to cover." Finn says. So I walk over and go through the rubble of my desk and I grab a map and put it on the coffee table.

" I’ve already drawn the circumference of a four hour drive. But that’s only if they stuck to the speed limit. If they were speeding them it will be bigger." I explained.

"Holy shit. That’s a lot of terriroty. How many packs are in that circle?" Ruby asked.

"About a dozen. I’ve already reached out to them and asked them to keep an eye out. They’ve got photos of Tessa but I’m going to get these photos of Katherine and those men out as well." I say. Cade then comes into the room.

"Sorry to interrupt. We just found where they came through our boarder undetected." Cade says.

"Where?" I asked.

"Near the river. It gets patrolled the least and they must have known that. They’ve probably been staking this place out. We found fresh foot prints there and it looks like they came in right next to the water tower." Cade explains.

"That is really dense bush out there. It’s hard for the men to patrol." I say.

"Exactly. That’s why they chose that area." He says.

"Get men out to that area now and burn the bushes. Get it cleared away. That area is never to be left unprotected again." I ordered.

"Yes, Alpha." He says leaving. And I sighed in relief.

"Why do you look happy about that?" Finn asked.

"Because I’ve had traitors before. And I was really hoping that there weren’t going to be any this time." I say.

We walk into the living room of the packhouse and I had already ordered that all blinds be closed and that it be completely dark inside. No sunlight at all. But when I walked into the living room I saw Ben, Heath, Kai and Cooper sitting in there.

"We don’t know anything about Tessa yet." I say.

"We know. We want to help with the search." Ben says.

"Are you kidding? Tessa doesn’t even know that I accepted you into this pack yet. Even if you do help rescue her she will rip my nuts off for letting you into this pack. It’s been hard enough keeping you four hidden." I say.

"Who are these men?" Angelo asked.

"We’re Tessa’s brothers." Ben says.

"Their Daniel’s sons. They didn’t know that they weren’t Tessa’s brothers until Tessa killed Daniel. But they still think of Tessa as their sister. But she doesn’t." I explained.

"Tessa doesn’t want you. So, why don’t you leave." Angelo says.

"Because we were there when she was born. Where were you?" Heath asked. _{\n(o)v.e\l.com}

"Alright. Meet the patrols along the highway. Their looking for any tracks of them. But I’m not holding out much hope." I say. So they all left the house to go in search of Tessa.

"We’ll hit the ground tonight. I need to do some research first. Katherine would never stay in a cave or dungeon to keep hidden. It’ll be a mansion. In foreclosure. No one owns it so she doesn’t need an invitation to get in." Angelo explained.

"Well fuck, that might narrow it down a bit. Get on it." I say. And he got to the dining room where a laptop was set up and started searching for mansions in foreclosure.

"How are you doing?" Naomi asked.

"If they wanted her dead then they would have killed her here. That’s all I am telling myself right now." I say.

"Can’t you feel her?" Ruby asked.

"She has silver in her system. It shuts down the wolf in her. I can’t feel her at all." I say.

I grab my phone and leave a message for one of the soldiers that were out looking for Tessa. I tell them to look for mansions in foreclosure. That’s one step in the right direction.

"I can’t just fucking sit here. I need to do something." I say pacing around the room feeling my anger get worse and worse.

"Well, you’ve got people out looking. We’ll be out looking tonight once Angelo has a list that we can check out. But right now, there’s nothing that we can do." Elias says. But Cade steps towards Elias warning him to back off. My claws started protruding from my hand, my canines were coming out and fur was sprouting on my arms. I wasn’t doing it. Eli was. He needed to come out. He needed to find his mate. He was loosing control inside my head without his mate here. Without knowing where she was. He was loosing it.

I started running for the backdoor and I barely got it open before Eli forced the shift and we ran into the woods without looking back. There had to be a trail somewhere. They can’t just disappear into thin air. And I knew where I could look. I had contacts as well. Contacts that no one knew about. Not even Tessa. Because it wasn’t something that I was proud of.
