The Shadow of a Luna
Chapter 38

Chapter 38: Chapter 38

Everyone had already gone to bed and they were all pretty drunk so now wasn’t the right time to take them the photo. We would do it when they woke up but I was really worried about it. And Tyler had to grab my hand and drag me back inside the mansion and take me to my room.

"It will be alright. He can’t attack in the daytime." Tyler says.

"No. But that witch can." I say going into the closet. Tyler walked up behind me to unzip my strapless dress.

"Have I mentioned just how much I love this dress? And how beautiful you are tonight?" He asked.

"You did mention it once or twice." I say.

"I meant it." He says.

"I know." I say turning around in my lingerie and I started unbuttoning his shirt to reveal his perfectly chiseled 8 pack that made him look even more perfect.

He leaned down to kiss me while he kicked his shoes off and I started undoing his belt while he undid my white lace bodice.

He then picked me up and carried me to the bed and laid me down gently and pulled my panties off while he removed his own pants and lied on top of me kissing me gently. Passionately. It wasn’t rough. It wasn’t fast. It was perfect. It was exactly what I needed. It was perfect. Just the two of us loving each other, showing each other how much we loved each other. Every touch, every caress felt more electrified since the bond solidified. The more he touched me, the closer I wanted him to be. It was intense and wonderful and beautiful.

It’s not something you would ever imagine a big bad Alpha wolf would be capable of. But he was and I knew now that there was absolutely no one else for him. All of this was just for me. For the rest of our lives.

Knowing that put both of us at ease and we fell asleep in each other’s arms so easily and peacefully, like nothing was going on on the outside of those four walls. It was just us two. And that was the way I wanted it to stay forever.

I knew that was just wishful thinking. But in that moment, I was happy for it to just stay like that. With us two bound together forever.

We slept that whole day and into the night and when we got up we showered and went downstairs.

People were scattered everywhere throughout the mansion but when I started making something to eat, they were in the dining room pretty quickly. And I gave Tyler the envelope.

"Alright guys. We found this this morning after you all went to bed. Josiah was here last night. Just outside the gate. He saw me propose and the note on the back makes it sound like he promises that we will never get married." Tyler explained passing the photo around for everyone to see. And they were all speechless.

"Well, it’s a really good photo to add to the album." Bella said to break the silence. But no one laughed.

"We have to put a stop to this son of a bitch right now." Angelo snapped.

"We don’t disagree. But how the hell do we find him?" I asked.

"I don’t know. I’m gonna get some people out working on it." He says standing up.

"You mean witches." I say. \n(o)v.e\l.com

"Yeah. I think the food is burning." He says and I race back to the kitchen. But I got the food off just in time before it burnt.

We all sat around eating while spit balling ideas. And we were still coming up empty.

"He’s taken over a town called Pheonix. It’s in the Bayou." Angelo announced walking back into the room.

"He’s taken over the whole town?" Tobias asked.

"Yeah. He has more vampires out there. I just checked it out. If we are going to attack, then we need to know how many vampires are out there." He says.

"How did you find this out?" Ethan asked.

"Locator spell. You took the photo with you. You can only locate someone if you have something of theirs." I say.

"That’s right. You’re learning quick." Angelo says.

"Somethings are just common sense. Alright, us wolves can do a little recon during the day while their all in hiding." I say.

"Wouldn’t that be the best time to attack?" Aria asked.

"No. Because they’ve got witches out there. The Shadow witch and others. You’re going to need reinforcements." Angelo says.

"Yeah. We’re not sitting this one out." Elias insisted.

"Alright. We’ll go check it out tomorrow. See what we can find out. But if they have people awake during the day then I don’t think we’ll be able to get too close." I say.

"Probably not. But it’s worth a try." Parker says.

"What if we need more people than what we’ve got here?" Taylor asked.

"Then we need to find more people to help us." Ruby says.

"No one is going to help Angelo." I say.

"I couldn’t have said that better myself." Finn smirked.

"Then what are we doing to do?" Naomi asked.

"Don’t you guys have friends around the place? Do you think they will help?" I asked.

"I don’t know. I really can’t answer that one for you. But we can make some calls." Charles says.

"I’m calling the pack. I’ll get half the warriors to come here and the other half to stay to defend the pack territory." Tyler says.

"I’ll do the same." Ethan says.

"Shit. That’s going to be like 500 warrior wolves. I think that’s more than enough." I say.

"That’s good. Because none of our friends will want to get in the middle of a war." Naomi admitted.

"It’s alright. I don’t blame them. Why the hell would they?" I asked.

We all tried to get a little more sleep that night and then just after dawn us wolves went to the woods outside the city and shifted to run through the woods and it would be faster to get to Phoenix.

When we did get there we crept around the town and kept a close eye on everything that was moving in the town.

There was nothing on the outside of town so we slowly crept into town. They all looked like caravans set up that were completely blacked out for the vampires. We didn’t know how many were in each caravan but in all we counted 25 caravans in the whole town. It was a small ass town.

At most there could only be about 100 vampires here. But then we saw the only house and it was a two-story place. That’s where we heard talking and movement. I recognized the shadow witch’s voice talking to other women in there. And my ears could pick up some people upstairs. I could hear their breathing. It sounded like they were sleeping. More vampires perhaps?

When we all retreated from the town and headed back to the mansion we got dressed immediately and noted down everything we saw and even drew a map of the town the way we saw it.

"So, there couldn’t be anymore than maybe 150 vampires and that’s being generous. There were definitely a few witches in there. We need to take them out first I think, because they can do things without touching us. They can use their powers from a distance away." Tobias explained.

"The Shadow witch will be the hardest one to kill." Parker says. And everyone looks at me.

"Yeah. I already know that she’s mine." I say.

"Alright. Now we need to wait for the others and come up with a game plan." Carter says.

"Light the trailers on fire as we’re walking past them and hope that the vampires are at home." I say very casually.

"That’s one option. But if their not home, then we’re screwed and they are pissed." Tobias says.

"I know. I’m just fed up. I want this shit to be done with." I say rubbing my face getting frustrated.

Tyler stood behind me and started rubbing my shoulders to calm me down. He could sense how tense and frustrated I was feeling. And I could sense how worried he was feeling about me. It was so much more intense then it was before. These feelings not being my own was something I was gonna have to get used to.

When night finally came and Angelo and my aunts and uncles came up from the basement we showed them everything that we had prepared and they were actually impressed.

"This is well thought out." Elias says.

"Parker and Tobias are both head warriors of our two packs. This is what they do. And they are good at it." Ethan says.

"When do the warriors arrive?" Naomi asks.

"They will start to arrive tomorrow. We thought small doses and keeping them hidden was the best part. They won’t be coming to the mansion or staying here. We don’t want Josiah to see them. We need to take him by surprise. So they have all booked rooms out around the city. We will communicate with them when their here." Tyler says.

"Another good idea. Because he’s obviously watching us." Elias says. And I look out of the massive windows that look straight into the courtyard from the dining room and I just had this feeling that he was out there right now. That he was watching us right now. I knew that he was. I could feel it.

It took all of my willpower to stay inside and not go out there trying to find him at this moment. I didn’t need to blow the plan before it even started. We needed to be smart about this. Me above all else. Because I’m the one that he wanted.

Tyler was adamant that I was not to be left alone. At least four warriors are to be with me during this attack, the whole time. I thought that was a bit excessive. But he was insisting on it. If they got me alone at all and something happened that was out of my control, then I would be gone and Tyler would never seen me again. So I relented on that one issue. But I didn’t need them crowding my style. I was already going to stick out like a sore thumb. I’m a pure white wolf that’s larger than an Alpha. I think it’s pretty obviously that I was going to stick out.

When we finished with the meeting I went outside the mansion and I went to the backyard where Tyler followed me and I sat down with my legs crossed. I knew that Tyler had the guys doing perimeter searches of the grounds so there’s no way that Josiah was watching me right now.

I sat there concentrating with a notebook and pen in front of me and I started speaking in a different language. Speaking words that I didn’t even know what they were. They weren’t coming from me. They were coming from the earth. Ancient words that I had never said before in my life.

I created a little fireball in my hand and while speaking these words I was able to turn it to solid ice and then I dropped it and it shattered on the ground.

I then quickly wrote down that spell in my book and I named it. So that I would remember what it was called.

I then started practicing another spell with ancient words that I had never said before and I was experimenting and trying to figure out what I could do and what I couldn’t do. And it was actually really impressive with what I could do. I was enjoying it a little. But it didn’t take away the frustration and anger I was feeling towards Josiah who was probably getting off on this whole game that he was playing.

He was playing a game. A game with my life and I was over it. I needed this to be done. The sooner the better.
