Chapter 32: Chapter 32

"The next morning I didn’t wake up until late and with a bit of a hangover but Gladys was there yelling at me from downstairs to get my ass down there.

"Just because you got drunk doesn’t mean you’re getting out of training." She yelled.

"Can I kill her?" I asked rolling over on to my back.

"Not until she’s taught you everything. And then I’m going to kill her." Tyler says.

"Okay. That works for me too." I say. I roll out of bed and land on my hands and knees and Tyler laughed leaning over the bed.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"I think I’m going to die." I say crawling to the wardrobe before using the shelves to help me up and I got some clothes on and I brushed my hair. " How the hell can you just crawl out of bed and have that perfect messy look work for your hair?" I asked.

"Because I’m a guy with a great head of hair. It works for me." He says kissing me while grabbing some clothes from the cupboard.

I went downstairs to the courtyard and Gladys was already waiting for me.

"We were going to start trying harder stuff today. Can you’re head handle it?" She asked smirking at me.

"I’m fine." I say. And Tyler walked out and handed me a coffee. "And now I’m even better." I say.

"Okay. Today we’re going to try and fend off an attack." She says.

"Wow. That is stepping it up a bit." I say.

"Yeah. It is." She says stepping away from me.

"Are you even going to tell me how to do it?" I asked.

"Nope. You have to work it out." She says.

"You bitch." I say.

She then stood side on from me and she shot a bolt of red electricity out of her hand and before I had a chance to react it hit me and I was thrown back against one of the beams.

"Ouch." I say getting up. "Did Angelo ask you to do this? Payback for last night?" I asked.

"No. Angelo has been told to stay out of our training." She says.

"I doubt he listened." I say.

"Are you ready?" She asked. And I tried to get prepared but she hit me another bolt before I was ready and I went flying across the courtyard against the wall of the building.

"You have got to be kidding me. How the hell am I meant to protect myself against that?" I asked slowly getting back up.

"Figure it out." She says hitting me again. And again. And again. And again.

Tyler tried to stop it but I told him not to. The others were watching as well and weren’t pleased at all. I heard a lot of growls coming from the crowd as my friends were watching me take that battering for almost two hours.

And as I was climbing on my feet one last time I could feel that I was getting angry and frustrated because whenever I tried to attack it wouldn’t work. But when I got up I saw that she was about to hit me again with red electricty so I ducked and rolled out of the way and I threw my hand in her direction and white electricty came from me and it threw her across the courtyard with so much force that she took away part of the stone pillar when she hit it.

My friends all cheered but I got up and I was really out of breath and I was sweating and I limped over to her.

"Are we done for today?" I asked.

"Yeah. We’re done." She says lying there. So I turned around and walked undercover and straight away Tyler grabbed my shirt and pulled it up and he saw all the bruises that I was covered in.

"Don’t stress Tyler. I’ve had worse than this. Remember." I say.

"I know. Doesn’t mean I have to like it." He says.

"I know." I say.

"How much exercise have you been getting in while you’ve been here?" Ethan asked.

"None. I actually miss it. And I think my body might be starting to feel it." I say.

Things suddenly started getting dark and I thought storm clouds were coming over but Tyler grabbed me and pulled be behind him and I turned around to see that they were no storm clouds.

The shadows were back.

"Tesssssa." It hissed. "You’ve been training." The shadow witch said.

"Show yourself you gutless piece of shit." I say. And the shadows parted for the witch to appear to be standing on the other side of the gates to the mansion.

"Josiah is gonna like this. You actually think that you have a shot of beating him." She says.

"I will beat him. He’s not getting his hands on me." I say.

"He always gets what he wants." She says.

"Well, he obviously hasn’t done his research. If he wants me to have powerful pups then it’s not going to happen. As of right now, I can’t have pups." I say. And she stared at me confused.

"It’s true. She can’t." Tyler says.

"I have scar tissue. A lot of it. Which is why I can’t have pups. Go back and tell your boss that." I teased.

"He’ll make you sorry for this. Believe me." She says. And as quick as she appeared, she disappeared.

"I think we might have just started this war." Tyler says.

"Is that true? That you can’t have pups?" Bella asked. _{fre ewebno(v)e\l.(c)om}

"Not right now. I have to get checked again in about a year." I say.

"I’m so sorry. I had no idea." She says.

"How could you? It’s fine. We’ll figure something out." I say. And Tyler put his arm around me.

"We sure will." Tyler says proving that he was going to stand by my side.

"I need food." I say going inside.

I ended up making dinner that night for everyone because there was a huge amount of food that needed to be made that night and it was a huge feast.

But it was good to have everyone altogether again. We sat down talking and chatting and I tried to ignore pity stares from people about not being about to have pups yet because of the abuse that I endured. And I always tried to turn the conversation into something a little happier and more cheerful.

Just before sunset I decided to go to the basement door and I opened the door a crack and threw a noise maker inside and down the stairs. It wouldn’t start a fire or anything, but it would piss Angelo off.

I closed the door quickly and the noise maker went off with a huge bang and Wyatt and Cade both came running to where the noise came from and saw me standing there laughing while Angelo started yelling from the basement.

"Run." I tell them and we all ran from the basement door and into the living room.

I jumped on Tyler who was sitting on the couch who let out a ’oomph’ when I landed on him and the other two quickly found seats as well.

"What the hell is going on?" Ethan asked. And then Angelo came running upstairs and accidently standing in the sunlight which burnt him and he jumped back holding his burning skin.

"Who the fuck did that?" He asked.

"Did what? We’re just sitting here watching a movie." Aria scoffed at him and went back to watching the movie.

"Tessa." He scowled.

"She was here with us. Maybe you have more enemies than you thought." Bella snapped. So he threw his arms up in the air and walked away.

"You two are the best wing women." I giggle.

"What did you do?" Tyler asked.

"Threw a noise maker down in the basement. I told him that he was going to hate keeping me here." I say.

"Well, at least you’re having fun with it." Carter says.

"You do realize that you’re pissing off one of the most dangerous vampires in the world." Cade says.

"Yeah. But the thing is, he isn’t going to hurt me." I say.

"What if he decides to hurt one of your friends?" Cade asked.

"He won’t. Because that would hurt me. And he knows that I would never forgive him for that. He would be more dead to me then he already is. Dead I mean." I say.

"You really have thought this through." Aria says.

"I wouldn’t do it if I thought it was putting you guys in danger. Don’t worry about it." I say.

Suddenly we felt the building shudder. Like there was an earthquake or something. So we all got up but it was a quick shudder. Not like an earthquake. But then it happened a second time.

We all ran out to the courtyard and Angelo ran out behind us. The shadow witch was out there throwing bolts of power at the gate to the mansion.

"What the hell is this?" I asked Angelo.

"The binding spell wasn’t just to keep you in. It was to keep her out." He says.

"If she gets through then we’re screwed. I’m not ready to fight her." I tell him.

"I know. Which is why she’s not getting through." He says. And then a man appeared next to her. " Josiah." Angelo hissed out.

"I wanted you’re little girl but you just had to make it too damn hard for me. Didn’t you?" Josiah asked.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" Angelo asked.

"I just wanted to have pups with your little girl to have super pups that would rule the world. You did a good job of keeping it concealed that she couldn’t have pups." Josiah hissed. And Angelo looked at me weird.

"You can’t have pups?" Angelo asked.

"That’s a conversation for another time, don’t you think?" I asked.

One by one behind me all of my friends shifted to their wolf forms and Josiah was taken aback by them.

"Wow. They are beautiful creatures." Josiah says.

"Yeah. And they’ll rip you’re fucking head off if you come near me." I announce. Josiah then took one step closer to the gate but someone put their hand on his shoulder and he was thrown to the other side of the street.

I then refocused on where Josiah was standing and I saw five people standing there. Five vampires standing there.

The shadow witch evaporated to where Josiah was and grabbed a hold of him and disappeared altogether. And then those five vampires came closer to the gate of the mansion when all the wolves started howling.

"It’s alright. These are my siblings." Angelo says. So I look to the wolves and shake my head yes. And they went inside to go get some clothes on.

The vampires came inside the mansion grounds and I just stared at them and they did the same to me. They didn’t even know that Angelo had a daughter. They didn’t know that it was possible for vampires to reproduce. But somehow, he managed to.

"Tessa, this is Elias, Charles, Finn, Naomi and Ruby. Your aunt’s and uncle’s." Angelo says.

"Well, I guess it’s nice to meet you. Unless you’re like Angelo. And then we’re not gonna get along." I say honestly.

"Wow. I think I’m gonna like this girl." Ruby says.

"Thanks." I say.

"Yeah. Alright. We’re all aware that everyone hates me." Angelo says.

"Well, you are beautiful. Aren’t you?" Elias says.

"Thank you." I say.

"Maybe we should all go inside and get better aquainted." Charles says.

So we all went inside and my friends were in there waiting for us.

"These are my aunt’s and uncle’s. Angelo’s brothers and sisters. These are my friends and family from back home." I introduce. " And this is Tyler. My mate." I say putting my arm around him.

Once we all got the introductions out of the way we sat at the table talking to each other and my aunt’s and uncle’s were caught up on the entire situation.

I tuned out a little during the conversation and started concentrating on a candle that was sitting right in front of me. I started moving my fingers over the wick of the candle and the others started watching me.

"Would you like a lighter?" Wyatt asked. And suddenly the candle lit on it’s own.

"Nope." I say popping the ’p’ when I said it very proud of myself.

"You’re getting good." Tyler says resting his arm on the back of my chair.

"So, you’re finding your powers." Naomi says.

"Yeah. Do any of you have these witchy powers?" I asked.

"Afraid not. It skipped a generation." Ruby says.

"Oh. Sorry about that." I say.

"There’s nothing to be sorry about. You didn’t do it. And obviosuly no one thought you would ever be born." Elias says.

"And what about you guys. Did any of you have kids or anything before you were turned into vampires?" I asked.

"No. None of us were that lucky." Naomi says. And I examined them all for a moment before my eyes rested on Finn.

"You did." I say.

"How did you know that?" He asked.

"Because I know shit that I shouldn’t." I say.

"It’s just something she can do. Don’t ask how she knows." Tyler says.

"Yes. I had a wife and two children at the time. I told them to flee when I changed and the blood lust started taking over. I didn’t want to hurt them." Finn explained.

"If you’re mother was so concerned with your mortality and that she used her powers to turn you into vampires then why wouldn’t she do that for her grandchildren?" I asked. And they all turned to look at Angelo.

"Is that the kind of bullshit that you’ve been telling her?" Charles yelled at Angelo.

"That’s what she heard. I just never corrected her." Angelo defended.

"What am I missing?" I asked.

"Our mother had nothing to do with us becoming vampires. Angelo was turned into a vampire by a stranger. And then he singled us out because he didn’t want to be alone for eternity so he turned us individually. Gradually. He tormented us first and almost sent us insane before he did it." Charles explained very angrily.

"Our father tried to kill him. But Angelo killed our father instead." Ruby says.

"I have nothing to say there. I killed my own ’so called’ father myself." I say.

"Our father was not Angelo’s father. Our mother had an affair. Only Angelo is vampire and werewolf. The rest of us are just vampire." Elias says.

"Oh. Wow, my family just keeps getting more and more screwed up." I say looking at my friends and Bella chuckled. " Do you guys hear that?" I asked.

"Hear what?" Tyler asked.

"I can hear something outside. A winding sound." I say getting up from my chair but just as I do that the whole side of the dining room explodes and there is glass and debris flying everywhere as I am thrown backwards.
