Kai looked at the screen as a wide grin slithered onto his face.

Having received two practically ’broken’ skills that could easily let him live a happy normal life, the disappointment that had inhabited his eyes mere moments ago had completely disappeared.

On the contrary, his face lit up as he looked forward to the sixth trial.

Since the beginning, he had been looking forward to it the most, since even stats-wise, intelligence was his true forte—not to forget his background as a scavenger.

"System, proceed with the next Trial." He commanded in a soft but stern voice.

Almost instantly, a white glow began to shimmer around Kai’s body. At this point, he had completely grown used to the System’s ways—let it be teleporting, Full Recovery, or anything else.

Within moments, he vanished into thin air, letting the white realm be once again enveloped in silence.

"Eh..."

Kai slowly opened his eyes as he felt the bright light subside and was left in complete shock as he found out that his body had disappeared.

All he could see was a bright silhouette of a white light, shaping roughly into his physique, while in front of his eyes, there existed a small fist-sized prismatic orb, glistening in a bright glow that slowly spread wide across the void like space, painting it with colors of reality and whispering life into it.

"So you, are Kai Evernox..." Suddenly, a strange voice—sounding like a mix of countless different feminine voices combined together—appeared in the vicinity, shaking him from his very essence.

Kai was taken aback by the sudden voice as he noticed it coming from the orb itself.

[The Administrator of the sixth Trial, Trial of Intelligence — the Goddess of Intelligence has teleported you to her mind realm.]

Considering the situation, the System decided to kick in as quickly as it could—informing Kai of the Current situation.

"Wait, so... That’s the Goddess of Intelligence?" He pointed towards the orb with his right hand’s index finger while looking at the screen, as though trying to question the system itself.

"That is correct, child. My name is Saphyra and as you already know, I hold the Title of the Goddess of Intelligence." Her voice echoed through the space, adding weight to his soul with each word.

"Well... Why have you summoned me here...?" Kai asked in the most straightforward way he could, guessing that there was no way the goddess had summoned him in such a way with any good intentions.

"Why else? Of course to claim you for myself." She said confidently, almost as if she knew Kai would not refute her offer — or more like, her order.

Hearing her response, Kai answered her immediately in the most blunt way that one could ever reject someone in, "Don’t wanna."

"You don’t have a Choice in that, Mortal," she muttered before the orb’s energy began to expand at an incomprehensible rate.

Within seconds, all of the energies were being pointed towards Kai while he felt a claw slowly closing around his soul.

The System windows appeared frantically one after another, all displaying the same texts.

In a distant dark realm, where shadows enslaved all lights, a rough silhouette could be seen sitting over a throne with its head slightly tilted forward, as though the person was looking below at the myriads of worlds all at the same time.

"At the end, you still are but a mere mortal. How dare you reject the honor of being my servant, fool." Saphyra’s voice echoes through the silent, dead hall—coming from none other than the silhouette itself.

Muffled sounds of laughter began to reverberate in the hall as Saphyra burst out into giggles, laughing at Kai’s stupidity as he thought he could reject the will of a god.

However, this action of her’s seemed to have ticked someone she couldn’t dare mess with even in her wildest dreams—off.

A barrage of seemingly infinite crimson-red system windows befell her in an instant.

"WAIT WHATT?! ISN’T HE JUST A MERE MORTAL!??? THIS ISN’T FAI—"

Before she could even finish her sentence, all that existed in the respective realm came to an abrupt end as reality itself perished into nothingness alongside the system windows and the one that called herself the Goddess of Intelligence.

Back on Kai’s side, he struggled to stay upright under the goddess’s pressure, until suddenly, everything was gone.

The sphere that floated in the air, the energy that suppressed the entire space, the claws that wanted to imprison his soul, and the oppression of a divinity—everything vanished in the blink of an eye while a single system window materialized right in front of his eyes.

"Phew, thought I was gonna get sucked in by that crazy bitch." Kai let out a short sigh as he saw another system window materialize.

"Glad to see you removed the apostle part, System." Kai let out a short giggle as he proceeded to take his pick, "Skill, of course!"
