Chapter 285: Chapter 285 - Captured

Eric snuggled close to Yuri, hugging his sturdy waist. His lover had already fallen asleep and was softly snoring.

"Cutie..." he gently pinched his pouty lips.

Never in a thousand years did he expect something like this would happen. The moment he found out Yuri was married, he had lost all hope of renewing his love with his beloved, but now... his Yuri was all his.

He gently traced his face with a fingertip, making sure not to arouse him from his slumber. His fingertips graced all his marks and his sharp nose, gently booping the tip. "My little man..."

Suddenly, Yuri woke up from his slumber, grabbing a hold of his wrist in a tight grip.

"Ow... gentle..." he gently cupped his face. But the grip on his wrist only became tighter.

"Yuri, stop, that hurts."

Yuri faced him with an unknown look in his eyes.

"Yuri?"

Without a word, Yuri sat up, still having a firm grip on his wrist. "It’s been dragging for too long, but I’ve finally got you."

"Huh?" Confused, Eric sat up alongside him. "Can you just loosen up a bit? I’m not going anywhere..."

Yuri gazed his way with a slight glare. "Yes, you are not." He placed a hand on his chest.

"Is this some kind of play? It’s too early for that. I’m hungry and tired..." Eric whined, trying to lie back down, but Yuri did not let him. "Yuri... what are you trying to do!"

Suddenly, a huge surge of power hit him right next to his heart.

He let out a loud gasp, clutching the hand on his chest. His heart was beating erratically, pounding and stopping, making it harder for him to stay awake.

"Y—Yuri..." through his dulling gaze, he looked up at his lover.

Yuri had an eerie look on him as he gazed down. "It’s time you stop running, System 202."

That was the last he heard before he lost consciousness.

Kai Alden took his hand off the unbreathing corpse with a deep frown. The rogue system’s soul was finally captured and bound to his soul. But....

But why didn’t he feel happy?

This had been his mission all along. He went in without any feelings whatsoever, but now... now he felt breathless, gazing at the lifeless corpse.

His eyes were tearing up uncontrollably, and his heart was lurching in pain.

"Stop... this is just a mission... I’ll forget about it soon."

His tear-filled eyes peered at the young man who had lost his soul peculiarly. "You don’t have a hold on me..." he quickly wrapped him up in the blanket and held him in his arms. "But you deserve a proper burial."

Mumbling, he quickly sent a message to his family to come for breakfast.

His mom enthusiastically replied in seconds that they were all coming over to have a welcome dinner for the new family member.

Kai Alden silently placed his phone down, wore a set of clean clothes, and also helped the young man wear some clothes to save his dignity.

Steeling his heart, he finally dislodged his soul from this world’s body.

A black hole ripped open in the space between them, sucking up their combined souls.

The next moment he opened his eyes, he was standing in the familiar dilapidated room with his subordinates looking up at him in shock.

"What’s with that look? Quickly apprehend the rogue." He threw open the old transmigration device to see a young man collapsed on the ground.

Looking at him now, he could see a distinctive resemblance between all the host bodies that this young system had taken over. But the real one was much prettier-looking.

He lifted him up and patted his cheeks.

The rogue system mumbled something inaudible, and a tear slipped down from his eyes. His clenched hands gently clutched his shirt, and he snuggled into his embrace.

For a second, Kai felt his whole soul shake with pleasure.

He froze.

’This... is this the side effect of soul binding.’

He had never attempted to bind his soul with another before. Since this case was special, he could not take any special equipment to capture this one. He had to use his own soul to trap this guy.

But strangely, his soul was starting to act up as if it was infested by this strange set of codes.

Frowning deeply, he stood up. His subordinates silently gazed his way. "What are you all looking at! Quickly clear the scene and bag everything. We are leaving."

"S-Sir..."

"What?" Kai glared back at him.

"Should we submit the soul to the Punishment Department or..."

Kai glanced at the rogue system with a hint of apprehension. "We will take care of the following interrogation and after we have extracted information, he will go to the Punishment Department."

After giving out his orders, he quickly got into his suspension device and left for his department.

The soul in his arms still let out whimpers now and then, calling out Aaron’s name and Yuri’s name.

Every single time he heard those names, Kai felt his heart clench.

Taking a deep breath, he placed the system on the passenger seat and firmly handcuffed him to the handle.

"After this, I need to go to the reformation cabin..." he patted his aching heart. "This is not normal."

When he returned from the first world, the feelings he had were very, very strange. He almost forgot that he was not Aaron but he was Kai Alden. Those residual feelings still resided within him.

It was like a virus... infecting his soul.

He gazed at the system with a deeper frown. "Is he some kind of new virus to infect our system..."

The system seemed to show signs of waking.

Eric blinked awake, looking around the suspension device confusedly. "Yuri..." he reached out and held his hand. "What is this... you look... you look different."

Kai shook his hand off. "You have been apprehended for the crime of disrupting numerous worlds."

"What?"

"Don’t act innocent. We know you were the one who was controlling that whole rat hole."

Eric just blinked at him. "What are you going on about? I don’t have a clue..."

"System 202," he glared at him.

Eric froze. "W-what did you just call me?"

"System 202, stop acting. We know what you are." Kai coldly glanced away from him.
