Yuri was still in a daze. Yesterday he experienced the best night of his life, and today he experienced something kind of out of this world. The first thing he saw when he woke up was an empty bed. He had thought that Eric had left him again. But a minute later, he heard Eric calling for him.

He ran down only to see his lover holding down his wife. He did not even know how to explain it to his lover. His wife and he had never been together as a husband and wife. They had been nothing but strangers living under the same roof. But anyone would misunderstand.

He had tried to explain, but Eric had interrupted him and told him to call the lawyer. In hours, his divorce was settled. It was such a surprise for him. But there came another surprise. Turns out his wife was actually possessed by an ancient ghost who knew how to cultivate. And that ghost turned out to be his lover’s master who tried to kill him...

Yuri laid on the sofa with a blank expression. Everything was too much to take in.

"Go sleep in the bed. The sofa is wet," Eric chided him as he dragged his screaming wife away.

Yuri sat up straight. "What are we going to do with her? I can call her parents and send her away?"

"Not yet," Eric pulled the woman’s hair, making her look up. "I still have to exorcise this ghost out of her and send him off to his rebirth cycle. It’s the least he could do for all he has done for me," he sarcastically grinned down at her.

The woman screamed loudly. Yuri just blankly blinked. "Need my help?"

"Hmm, when I’m exorcising her, you can help me borrow your yang. This ancient ghost is quite strong," he watched Eric drag his ex-wife to the room and shut her in there.

"Won’t she escape if she has magic and stuff?" he awkwardly glanced at the door.

"I’ve enchanted the walls. Plus, Little Sha is here. He can watch over her," Eric plopped down beside him, letting out a loud sigh. "Today is the best day of my life," this put a smile on his face instantly.

Grinning, Yuri leaned close to him. "Why is that?"

"I actually got you all to myself," Eric grabbed his hand tightly. "My Yuri is mine and mine alone," he glanced up at him intensely. "I will never let you go."

If it were any other normal person, they would have been scared silly by Eric’s action and his love declaration. But Yuri was ecstatic. He was over the moon. He threw himself at him and hugged him as tight as possible. "Yes, and you are mine," he cupped his face delicately. "Shall we register our marriage?"

Eric raised a brow. "Is this how you ask me to marry you? So unromantic tsk."

Yuri paled. "Sorry... I was in a hurry."

"Don’t worry," Eric hugged his neck. "Ask me again after we are utterly in love with each other. I’ll say yes for sure."

Yuri nodded with a huge grin on his face. "Aren’t we utterly in love already?"

"No, I barely know you. I need to know what your favorite food is, your favorite color. Oh, I also need to know your past relationships," Eric leaned close. "I want to know everything before I marry you, got it?"

Yuri kissed his plump lips softly. "Deal."

"Now call your parents. I need to talk to them about something very important," Eric mumbled, leaning his head against his shoulders.

Yuri grinned. "About marrying me?"

"No, about that ghost. It’s... it’s related to your family, so they need to know."

He frowned slightly. "How is it related to us? Is it our ancestor or something?"

"No... it’s," Eric hesitantly gazed up at him. "It’s related to your younger brother."

Yuri’s frown deepened even further. "Can you tell me now?"

"No. Let your parents come, and I’ll send Little Sha back," he settled down comfortably leaning against him. "Do you miss your brother?"

Yuri nodded. "It was a long time ago, but it still affects our family." He hopefully looked down at him. "Have you found him?"

"Hmm..." Eric glanced at the door. "But you won’t like the truth."

Yuri clutched him tighter into his embrace. "Is he..."

"Yes. I’m so sorry."

He tightly closed his eyes and nuzzled into his body. "We... we were expecting that. But the news really... it hurts my heart," the unshed tears he had been holding back poured out of him. Yuri sniffed softly. "Did... did he go to the afterlife?"

Eric silently hugged him. He did not know how to tell Yuri about Little Shadow. If the news that Bai family’s second son was still alive as a soul spreads, it would be devastating. Why? Because Little Shadow became a ghost because of his unfulfilled wish. The little ghost wanted to find out about his family that he had forgotten in death. If he finds out that he is in fact the Bai family’s son, there is a high chance that his soul would enter the cycle of reincarnation, leaving them all behind. The person who would be affected the most would be his brother Haolei. He and Little Shadow were lovers. If Little Shadow passed, then his brother would be left all alone again.

Eric knew it was selfish of him to hold back the truth. But... he really didn’t want to tell the whole truth to everyone. All he could do now was punish the abominable monk’s soul for killing the Bai family’s precious son and other children.

"I will avenge his soul and many others that were unjustly killed by that man... I will avenge them for you, Yuri," he kissed his lover’s forehead.

Yuri gazed up at him. "Did that thing kill him?" his glaring eyes fell on the door.

"Hmm... and he will face hell for what he had done. I will make sure of it," he cupped Yuri’s face and kissed him.
