After all, this girl was going to marry him. She at least needed to know what he looks like.

Bai Kiyuki nervously cleared and arranged the room all morning. She arranged the vase of flowers close to her son’s bed. Made sure he was tucked in carefully. She even went to the extent of cleaning up her son’s face with a washcloth. She even combed his hair.

If Feng Ruelle rejected their marriage, there was no hope for their son’s survival.

She wanted everything to be perfect!

Bai Quzhu though was not that excited. Feng Ruelle’s personality would never suit their son. This marriage...... sounded like a mistake to him. Superstition or not of it worked and their son woke up it was only to their benefit.

His wife went ahead fussing even more.

While Bai Quzhu stood over his son’s bed. he held his warm hand that was smaller than his with a sigh. "I have let you suffer. I never should have retired so early... I should have urged you more to be a normal teenager. Now... now I marrying you off to a total stranger. I don’t think you will like her. When... if you wake up you can divorce her if you want. I won’t force you to do anything,’

Suddenly, his wife threw a flower to his face. "don’t talk about ominous things like divorce. You heard that priest, our son’s life depends on her. Only if he stays married to her, would he live a long life," she slightly glared at him.

"But will he be happy? I know our son dear. He hates being forced into a relationship like this. I fear he would come to hate us too..." he signed massaging his aching forehead."

The way his wife described it made it seem like Yuri was a cheerful child who would laugh and run around.

This pissed him off so much. He had warned Yuri not to do it and how unsafe it was.

Bai Yuri was one adamant child! He would escape his school so many times that he had lost count. Because of his mischievous state, they had to arrange a few hidden bodyguards to follow him around.

By his teenage years, the child had grown smart and even more rebellious.

Back then he had been so pissed off and fed up with his antics that they decided to send him off abroad to finish his higher education.

Bai Yuri stayed there for only one year. He skipped grades and graduate faster.

I can’t watch him die or stay like this forever! I want him to live. If he wishes to have lovers, let that be. He can have as many lovers as he wants! But Feng Ruelle is his wife-to-be.
