Chapter 200: Chapter 200 - A bride
In hope hospital in Y city, Bai Kiyuki was anxiously walking around in front of the vip ward. Her husband was furiously typing on his phone.
"did you find that person?"
"yes, it’s a girl from the Feng family." He said with slight frustration.
Hearing this even Kiyuki was stunned. Bai family and the Feng family were at odds ever since they entered the business field in y city. But after a few years, the Bai family’s businesses had expanded so much that they left the Feng family in the dust. Now they were the leading heads in the business fields. Their name would often appear in Forbes list.
their young son, Bai Yuri was a family head as he took over control from his father at the young age of nineteen after he graduated college as early as eleven.
The Feng family only had one daughter who was born and raised abroad. her birth was sketchy as she was not born for the main wife. mister Feng had a second wife abroad that he would frequent. while the main wife was barren and died at a young age. Right after that, mister Feng brought his second wife and his now daughter back home. Feng was said to be a beautiful woman with a graceful smile and a kind soft-spoken voice.
But Kiyuki was somehow against it.
Their families were always at odds with each other. Uniting them together with marriage seems sketchy. And for the Feng family to offer up their only daughter to marry their unconscious son... it was really odd.
She looked at her husband. "How much did they ask?"
"fifty percent stake in all our companies,"
"fuck that greedy leech... he is going to suck us dry.,..." Kiyuki kicked the chair her husband was sitting on.
"Darling, don’t break your foot. It’s just fifty percent... we can earn back all that money in a few years but our son..."
"I know! I know it! But I don’t want to marry my son to that Feng girl.... Isn’t there anyone else in that same birthday? There must be someone! Anyone?"
"Everyone I found was at least thirty-five or so. Do you wish to marry your son to such an old person?"
"No! never! My son is just a tender shoot. How can I marry him off to an old cougar? Never!" she plopped down on the seat next to him. "What are we going to do.... I just want my son’s life to be saved at the same time I don’t want that Feng family associated with us."
Bai Quzhu hugged his wife to his side. "If this is the only way you have to adjust with our new in law......"
"Fucking hell..." she cussed out loud. "Fine lets meet with those leeches and get their marriage settled. The sooner we marry our son to her, the better. I just want him to wake up and live well. Even if it is with that Feng girl,"
The next day a meeting was arranged between the two families to discuss marriage.
They both met up in a high-end restaurant in the city center.
Bai Kiyuki dressed up in a simple white dress and so did her husband but as they reached the table, they saw that the Feng’s were dressed so glamorously. The young lady of the Feng family was dressed in a red velvet dress that showed off her cleavage. She was just fifteen! At such a young age, she was wearing red lipstick and thick makeup.
From the moment Kiyuki saw this girl she hates her. But knowing that this girl can save her son, she gave in. she forgot all about her prejudice against her and gave a kind smile. "Sorry we were late. The traffic was quite hard to maneuver."
Her husband puled the chair for her to sit. She gracefully sat down. "Feng Ruelle right? You look beautiful in your dress, my dear,"
"oh thank you, miss Kiyuki." Ruelle smiled enchantingly.
"so lest talk about shares," the Feng family’s head, Feng Wendian rudely interrupted their talk with her sleazy words he haughtily looked at them. "I changed my mind. I want seventy percent in all your companies and subsidiaries."
Bai Quzhu did not express anything. He silently sipped the wine, peering at the man unblinkingly.
Tis seemed to unnerve mister Feng. He started to sweat profusely. "What is this? You asked for this meeting! You expect me to marry off my daughter to your invalid son? This is the least you can give!!" he anxiously looked at them.
It had been circulated in the circle that the Bai’s were looking for a bride to marry their half-dead son. Some priests had claimed that it would save him. Feng was elated hearing this. He hurriedly brought out his daughter, who was studying abroad. But they hit a roadblock.
The Bai’s wanted a bride who was born on a particular day.
Feng Ruelle was born and brought up in America so not many knew of her birthdate and age. It gave him a big chance to loot the Bai family.
Feng Wendian secretly heard of this date and hurriedly changed his daughter’s information in the public registry. He had bribed so many to keep this information in the dark.
And finally, they were in the Bai’s family’s radar.
The Bai family was getting desperate and he was going to use that desperation to his benefit.
Feng Wendian looked at the cold face of that man with a grin. They had started business at the same time but this guy had shot up into the sky while he was still in the shallow. He won’t allow that. He would get as much benefit as h would from this marriage. And after marriage, his daughter would take over the Bai company as their son would still be comatose or dead by then.
It was a grand plan.
The ball was in his hands now.
’Bai Quzhu, come on beg. Beg me to save your son. I want you on your knees! Under me! That’s where you deserve to be all your life.’ He thought, sipping the glass of wine calmly.
Suddenly a sound of a phone ringing disrupted the tension between the two.
Ba Quzhu connected the call. "Bai Quzhu here,"
"oh hello. I’m Haolei, calling from the metropolitan police department regarding mister Bai Yuri."
"What about him?"
"it’s just... we found a young boy who seems to know your son. He has memory loss but only remembers your son’s name. we thought you might be able to give us some information if you know of any."
His son did not have many friends since he had started to work in the fields at such a young age. He was a workaholic who never had any fun. It was not possible for him to have known anyone.
"I don’t think my son was familiar with anyone his age."
"No sir can you think a bit? The boy’s name is Jung Shi. They might have been childhood friends or something."
Ba Quzhu was not familiar with that name at all. "No, we are not aware of that name."
"Sir, wait. I’ll send you a photo. Can you check and see if... if he is familiar to you."
Bai Quzhu frowned slightly. His wife was looking at him with a slight glare to cut his call. "Excuse me for a minute." He got up from the table and moved to a corner. "What is this about?"
"We found a missing child with memory loss. But he remembers your son so... so we were thinking that he might be your missing son. so please check the photo I sent you and let me know if the boy is familiar. If you think he is your son please give us the authorization to do a DNA testing."
Bai Quzhu’s heart started to pound loudly. With trembling hands, he opened up the photo that had already been downloaded into his gallery. It was that of a young boy with pale skin and black hair. The boy was seen sitting In a wicker chair with a popsicle in hand. His doe-like eyes was looking at the camera with a bit of innocence In them.
But the boy did not look anything like his missing son.
Sighing, he massaged his aching forehead. "Sorry sir, I don’t think that child is mine. And I’m in a very important meeting. If you need anything I’ll send you my assistant’s number you can contact him." He cut the call and stood there, looking at his wrinkled hands.
It had been a few years now that their youngest son had been missing. No one could find even a small trace of him anywhere.
It was like he was going from this world...
Quzhu tightly closed his eyes. ’I don’t wish to lose another. Fuck his all’ he walked over to the table and peered at that leech’s face. To think this guy was his son’s life-saving person was insolence. But he still had to give in.
He slammed the table hard, startling them all. "ill do it. Seventy percent."
Feng Wenzhou grinned like a greedy pig. "great~"
Bai Quzhu held his wife up and left the dining room in a hurry.
His wife looked up at him gratefully, with tears in her eyes. "Husband... it’s too much of a sacrifice. we..."
"it’s okay. We can deal with it. We can earn back everything. As for swindlers... they will get what they deserve."
