Unaware of all the commotion on the other side Eric peacefully spent his time in the monk’s place, every day he was made to cultivate ad every day like an evil witch the monk will strictly check his pulse and his cultivation level.

Somehow, he seemed quite anxious that his fifteenth birthday was approaching fast and that he hadn’t broken through to the third level of cultivation.

Eric felt a growing sense of anxiousness in his heart.

He was not sure if it was the original owner’s feeling still lingering in the body or if he really was anxious about his lover. But something was unsettling. he was not able to sleep peacefully that night.

Laying on his back, he called out the system.

"Connect with Bai. I want to talk to him,"

The system jokingly whispered.

It had become his routine. He would meet up with his love every night and have a happy chat with him. Even though Bai looked different from Aaron, he was fucking cute. He still had that cute side to him. Every time he made fun of him, he would blush like a young maiden and chase him out of his dreams.

So, Eric had to retrain himself sometimes because every single time he connected Bai he had to spend fifteen coins.

In about three days he had already spent a whopping amount of 60 coins. Spending this many coins was hardly ideal but he couldn’t help but want to meet his lover every night.

"Why should I care about coins? If I talk to my lover that’s all that matters, right?" he glanced at the ghost boy at his foot.

He nodded his head.

"Do you have a loved one?"

The ghost boy shook his head.

"that’s sad. Everyone deserves to have a loved one in their life. Don’t worry I will be your living friend. Even though you look scary, you are actually quite cute too," he reached out to pat his head.

But his hands went through his body.

The ghost boy trembled slightly and shyly disappeared into the mirror shard.

"He is shy too. Wonder how he died,"

Eric closed his eyes.

The next second he was back in the white world. His lover of course was reading a book. But just as he appeared, he noticed Bai’s eyes fall on him with a hint of anticipation.

"Did you wait too long~" he ran to him and sat next to him.

"Who misses you? You’re a nuisance." He looked away from him.

Smiling, Eric pinched his pink ears. "You blush until your neck and have the audacity to lie,"

"You!"

When Bai’s guard was down, he hurriedly hugged his waist. "I missed you so much~"

Bai Yuri froze. "l-let go.. you pervert..... old man."

"Huh!" Eric leaned back.

In this astral world, he was in his real form. Of course, he was slightly older than Bai Yuri. But he was definitely not that old.

He pouted, touching his own face. "I’m not that old. Maybe twenty or something. But my skin does look rough, doesn’t it? I can’t apply any sunscreen or skin care for my face in my soul form. But I assure you I’m a handsome young little radish. At least in this world. The body I occupy is handsome. It’s not my real body though. This is my real form. So please don’t hate it. You must learn to love me literally as I am. Don’t be shallow," he playfully pinched his cheeks.

Bai pushed his hand away. "Annoying,"

Without a word Eric clung to his legs. "Where am I annoying? I’m so loving and cute,"

Bai subtly smirked at him. But when he looked up, he quietly hid his face with his book.

"Ah you look so beautiful when you smile. It feels like a spring breeze hid hit my face. You are so fascinating to look at... how can you be so seductive...."

Bai hurriedly cupped his mouth. "Shut up! do you want me to chase you out?"

Eric instantly gave up teasing him. He silently sat next to him reading the verse of poems. "do you have only this book with you?"

"What is wrong with this book? I like it," Bai snapped back.

"it’s slightly boring. I expect you to read yellow books and learn. it’s better for us in the future you know."

Bai hit him with his book. "Pervert!"

Chuckling Eric laid down on the white ground next to him. "Bai..."

Bai Yuri looked his way apprehensively. "What?"

"How sick are you?"

Bai looked away from him.

Eric rolled over and grabbed his hand. "Are you a little sick or dying sick? You have to tell me. I will advance my plans to escape that guy’s clutches if it’s too serious."

Bai’s narrowed eyes fell on him. "Which man?"

Eric sighed. "You might not know this but I’m being held hostage by an annoying guy. He can do magic. He had trapped me in his house. I have been trying so many ways to escape that place though. But that guy doesn’t even have a cell phone how can I call someone for help without a phone....."

Bai sat up straight and grabbed his wrist tightly. "Are you joking?"

"I wish I was. That guy doesn’t even feed me properly. Only fruits that too once per day. Do you know how much that diet fucked up my digestive system? I only poop once per three days. Its not good at all."

"Fuck, why are you talking about poo! You were kidnapped and held hostage! It’s a serious issue!" Bai pulled him up and grabbed his shoulders. "Does he hurt you? Do you have any clue where you are?"

For the first time, Bai was seriously talking to him.

Eric was stunned silly. He leaned forward and gently kissed his lips.

"w-what are you doing?!" Bai pushed him with a flushed face.

"You are worried about me..."

"of course, I am! You... you silly pervert."

"awwwww.... I love you too," Eric jumped on him and hugged him tightly.

Initially he ah thought that he won’t be able to get used to this new form of his lover. But in just three days he was already falling in love. Bai was so similar to Aaron. But just a little younger and immature. He was dishonest too. he actually enjoyed his visits but he never let it show.

He snuggled his head on his thin chest.

"You! We were talking about a serious issue here! move." he pulled him away and glared at him. "Do you have any clue where you are?"

Eric shook his head. the walls of the house were tall. Even though he jumped a few times, he was not able to see the outside world. Plus, the moon gate was always shut with an invisible barrier. He was not able to visit the garden as well.

"Okay, do you hear vehicles from your room?"

Eric thought about it and shook his head. "no. I only hear birds chirping."

"birds..... is it pigeons? The city is overrun with pigeons."

"I don’t think I’m in the city... maybe a small village no one visits that guy. And he only eats the fruits grown from his garden so we have literally no contact with the outside world."

Bai took a deep breath. "Do you remember your full name and where you are from?"

"That guy calls me Jung something. Don’t know where I’m from,"

"But you said your name was Eric?!"

"that’s my soul’s name. in this world I think I’m called Jung. But that monk might have lied as well."

"Monk! He is a monk?!" Bai peered into his eyes with all seriousness.

Eric nodded. "Yeah, he is a monk. A guy who knows magic. He sealed the doors with an inviable barrier. Every day he feeds me two fruits and makes me cultivate for hours to no end. I am only allowed to bathe once per three days. He calls it unnecessary. Every night he comes and locks the room I stay in. I am seeing no opening in his defense. I have to escape somehow. But ii don’t know how....."

Bai bit his lips anxiously. "is there any way for you to write a note? You can toss it over out of your house. someone can see it and call for help,"

"Tried it. Not even a rock can fly out of there. That barrier is strong."

Bai shook his head leaning against the white walls "what you are saying sounds impossible."

"I know, it seems impossible. Sometimes I wonder if I’m really in the modern world or not. But system assured me that I am."

"System? You have computer access?"

"Technically no. that is just a piece of trash. He can’t even do anything properly." Eric sighed, leaning against his shoulders.

Bai went silent.

"Bai, I shared all my problems with you. Won’t you share some of yours? Can’t you tell me how sick you are?"

Bai refused to look at him.

Eric gently cupped his face and made him face him. "Please.... I worry about you."

"it’s....." he looked away.

"it’s bad, isn’t it?"

Bai nodded slightly.

Eric hugged him tightly. "don’t worry, I will come to you. My fifteenth birthday is coming up. I’m going to distract that guy and escape. Maybe get him drunk or something. I will come to you and heal you. So, hang on, okay? I will save you."
