Gwyn was sitting in his room silently contemplating something. As soon as he walked in his head snapped up.

"Zhuzhu!" he hurried over ad hugged him tightly. His cold palm touched his forehead. "Your heat seems to have passed. Did that... hurt? that bastard asked permission right? It was consensual right?" he worriedly cupped his face.

Zhu Kang blushingly nodded. "it was not bad,"

Gwyn gritted his teeth and let go. "can’t believe you like an old man like him," he sat back down on the bed with a grunt.

"Well, my heart wants what it wants."

"don’t quote songs to me, young man,"

"Then what else do you expect me to say? I just like that man. Old or not he is the one I feel very comfortable sharing my life with," Zhu Kang laid down on the bed with a huge grin on his face. He couldn’t control his expressions though/ somehow after the last night’s events he had a feeling that he and Aaron were connected even beyond physically.

It felt like their souls were connected.

He touched his pounding heart silently. "Our heart beats in the same rhythm.... It’s fascinating really,"

Gwyn’s back stiffened visibly. "Zhuzhu.... I..."

Zhu Kang waited but Gwyn did not say anything else. The man looked despondent. He leaned forward and patted his back. "What is it?"

"Altren, do I even like him? When he is close, I find his presence annoying, when he is far I crave his annoying presence. What is wrong with me?" Gwyn’s eyes were a tinge red. he glanced at him with his tear-filled eyes. "Is this love?"

Zu Kang was shocked to hear such a confession. he knew his brother had a soft spot for Altren but he didn’t realize the man actually missed Altren to such an extent. "I can’t tell you what love is. because its different for everyone. But know this brother, if you miss that person so badly that you are in tears then that could only mean that you really want them in your life. Lover or not, you have to figure out that part."

Gwyn hurried wiped at his face. "hmmm.... I will get my answer when I see him again,"

"When did he go missing?"

"He went searching for you. that Jake bastard kidnapped him," Gwyn gritted his teeth clenching the white sheet. A massive hole was ripped out in just a second.

Zhu Kang got to know the entire story through his brother.

He sat there contemplating what to do. He knew for sure that Jake was a transmigrator. He had a lot of coins and resources at his fingertips. All he had was two of these magic heal-all potions that cause massive side effects and two quarts crystals to cure insanity.

Gwyn stood up. "I can’t sit still waiting for him to come back. Looks like I have to be the knight in shining armor for that guy," grinning he started to change his clothes.

Zhu Kang jumped up. "I’m coming too!"

In the alternate life event, that stupid guy Altren was mind controlled until he actually killed Gwyn. If that happens again the world will end as we know it. He just needed to tag long and keep an eye out in Gwyn so that he won’t do anything rash.

"You just got your rut. You must rest," he said insistently.

But when had Kang ever listened to him? he hurriedly got ready alongside him. They did not have their villain suit with them so they had to go for a stretchy cotton t-shirt and pants.

As for their masks, they chose to completely ignore it.

The situation was dire. They did not have the time to go seeking a mask to hide their identity.

"Zhuzhu, stay. why are you tagging along?"

"Brother do you think I can rest in ease when you are out there fighting criminals? Hell no! I will come along," they both rushed to the front door.

The two heroes Blue and Haze were sitting on the sofa drinking a cup of coffee. "Where are you guys heading off to?"

"We are going to search for Altren,"

"Not needed. We have a whole team of hundred heroes searching for him as we speak" Haze stood up with his arms stretched out. "We were told to keep you both inside the house. Come on now. its not safe out there with bombs in every part of the city,"

Zhu Kang rolled his eyes. "Those bombs are duds. I disabled them,"

"With your pink wand?" Haze just gave him a dull look.

He gritted his teeth. "yes, with my pink wand. Just believe me that thing worked."

Haze grinned at them. "yeah, I believed your small trick. Even if the bombs were defused, the villains are still out there. They are powerful and..."

Gwyn pushed past him.

"Hey are you guys listening," he grabbed his shoulder.

Gwyn simply glared back at him. "I’m a villain too. I know how to fight a villain more than you." he shrugged him off.

"but still...."

Zhu Kang walked past him as well. "Trust me we can deal with it,"

"you guys sucked! Gemini twins had never once succeeded!" Haze shouted in desperation.

Gwyn just glanced back with a grin. "its because we didn’t want to succeed. This time I’m going all out. Those fuckers... they dared touch Altren," he grumbled and kicked the door open.

Grinning, Zhu Kang ran after him. "Wow so cool."

They both flew away into the horizon.

Haze just gaped back at the Blue. "Where do you think they are going now?"

"Most likely they are heading to the snakehead headquarters."

"They are heading to the snake pit!!! If anything happens to them Altren will kill me!!!"

Blue rolled his eyes. "Just inform Aaron. I’ll follow them," he disappeared into a Blue portal.

"So where are we going?" Zhu Kang glanced at his brother.

Gwyn simply looked at him blankly. "don’t know. We will start from your college. That’s where he went missing,"

"brother..... you don’t know where to start do you?"

"No fucking clue," Gwyn grumbled.

Zhu Kang flew closer. "I might know where he might be. But its very very dangerous. Here." he held out the magic potion to him. "Drink this when you feel like you are dying."

Gwyn did not even cast that thing a glance. He simply shoved it in his clothes. "Where is he?"

"The snake pit."

For a second Gwyn’s expression fell. "Shit!"

"Yeah,"

"I don’t know where it is." He glared at the horizon.

When they left the snakehead gang their memories of that sneak pit were completely erased. He did not even have a clue where the pit was.

"I know what it is,"

"Your memories?" Gwyn looked at him hopefully.

"I can remember only a few things. But Haze was able to piece together the clues. Its only a few kilometers from here,"

He knew exactly where that spot was. It was close to the part-time stripper bar he worked in.

Even Zhu Kang was shocked when he found out the location. Because the snakehead pit had been so close to him and he did not even realize it.

They both ended up close to the snake pit. The whole place was being raided by superheroes.

Sounds of loud gunshots and screams filled the air. A part of the building was up in flames.

"Wow, where do we start?"

"Top floor," Gwyn glared at the spot.

Eve thought they didn’t know the location they knew for sure that the top floor was exclusively for the snakehead leader.

Looking at the blazing building Zhu Kang had a sudden thought. "Is it relay Jake?"

"it is. I already suspected so. That guy had a weird smell on him. the face he wears is a mask,"

Kang’s eyes widened slightly. That explained everything. Initially, he had been suspicious of why Jake looked so much like his brother. But now it all made sense.

Altren loved Gwyn and stalked his brother for a long time. Jake, aka the snakehead leader, must have noticed it.

To grab Altren’s heart, he simply altered his appearance to look similar to his brother.

But that plan did not work though because Altren was already close to Gwyn.

So, Jake must have used his second strategy. He must have used a love potion.

"Fuck! The snake was so close I didn’t even realize it!"

They both charged into the building. A few heroes stopped them by the staircase as they did not recognize them.

"We are here for Altren. Don’t worry, just inform Aaron. We are here. he will vouch for us."

The young hero looked skeptically at them.

"Just do it."

"This is a closed-off area sir! go back where you came from. This is not a playground for young stupid children,"

Zhu Kang gaped at him." he called us stupid children," he looked at Gwyn. "This is infuriating. do we even look that young?"

"I don’t, you do. Come on, let’s try to fly into the building from up top," he pulled him away.

Just as they were walking away, Zhu Kang heard a small voice call for help.

He froze because it was a very familiar voice.

"Lia... its Lia!" he dashed into the building in a hurry.
