The blond-haired youth who had been so arrogant before, was now truly humble.

Yuexin stared in astonishment at the scene unfolding before her, as if she were watching a thrilling action movie.

Even more unexpectedly, her brother-in-law Long Chen’s physical abilities were extraordinary, with each movement so splendid it made one want to slam the table in awe.

Long Chen couldn’t be bothered to hold a grudge against the young punk, so he turned around, picked up Yuechan, and, along with Yuexin, hailed a taxi to leave.

After returning to the Li Family home, Long Chen had Yuexin help Yuechan inside.

But Yuechan clung tightly to Long Chen’s neck, mumbling ’husband’ repeatedly.

Yuexin sighed and assisted Yuechan into the house.

Han Min and Li Shiqi stood up to help Yuexin with Yuechan.

"Sigh, my sister was in a bad mood, and almost got into trouble at the bar. It was brother-in-law who came to our rescue and brought us back," Yuexin explained.

"Where’s Long Chen?" Han Min asked.

Long Chen’s voice came out of the blue.

Yuexin was shocked, "Brother-in-law, I thought you left?"

She looked at Long Chen coming in, quite astonished.

The reason Long Chen returned was that he suddenly remembered there was serious business he had not taken care of.

He needed to get the hair of Li Shiqi, Han Min, and Yuechan to take for a DNA test.

"That, Long Chen, please have a seat."

Li Shiqi hurriedly gestured.

Thinking of everything Long Chen did at the wedding banquet, Li Shiqi felt that Long Chen was not a simple man and that he should not be offended so easily.

And Han Min, who had been slapped by Long Chen, was also on edge.

"No need for politeness, Yuexin and I will take Yuechan to her room to rest," said Long Chen.

"Brother-in-law, you can take my sister to the room yourself," said Yuexin.

It seemed her sister had really made Long Chen quite angry.

Moments later, Yuexin and Long Chen together helped Yuechan lie down.

"Wait," said Long Chen. "I need to talk to you."

"Brother-in-law, what is it?" Yuexin was curious.

"Can I trust you?"

"Yes, brother-in-law, you once helped me keep some secrets, saving me a lot of face. If it’s within my power, I will definitely help you," Yuexin said.

"Good, find a way to get some hairs from your parents for me. Keep them separate; I need them for something important. But don’t let them know it’s for me," said Long Chen.

"Brother-in-law, is that all?"

"Yes, just remember to keep it a secret. I’ll wait here for you," Long Chen said.

"Mm-hmm, rest assured, I’ll go deal with it now."

Li Yuexin glanced at the sleeping Li Yuechan, deep in thought.

Long Chen sat on the edge of the bed, patiently waiting.

The sleeping Li Yuechan would occasionally talk in her sleep, calling out Long Chen’s name.

Long Chen looked down at Li Yuechan and then found makeup remover in the room, helping Li Yuechan remove her makeup.

Li Yuechan’s bare face was delicate and even more enticing.

"Long Chen, you can’t leave me..."

Long Chen let out a soft sigh and wiped her tears clean.

Truth be told, the person he loved the most was still Li Yuechan.

After waiting for more than ten minutes, Li Yuexin walked into the bedroom.

"What’s the big deal? We can chat anytime, and if you’re free, you can come over to see me now," Hu Qingqing said.

"Coming to see you at this hour, aren’t you afraid your man might beat you up?"

"Well, are you planning to be single for life?"

"Of course not. I’m waiting for someone destined." Hu Qingqing said with a coy laugh. "Long Chen, if you’re free, come over to see me. I want to treat you to a late-night snack. If it wasn’t for you, I probably couldn’t have gotten rid of that disgusting man, Wang Gui. So I want to invite you to dinner, to properly thank you in person. Can you do that?"

"Sure, of course. I’m actually homeless tonight, so I might as well join you," Long Chen said, chuckling.

"It looks like you’re the fated one, hee hee. I really couldn’t ask for more. Wait, I’ll send you the location right away. Don’t stand me up, I’ll get the food ready," Hu Qingqing said.

"Alright, don’t stand you up, send me the location."

Long Chen ended the call.

Excited, Hu Qingqing sent the location to Long Chen, then immediately phoned the hotel reception, asking them to prepare a lavish late-night snack to be delivered to her room.

Afterward, struck by a thought, Hu Qingqing ran into the bathroom, took a shower, carefully applied her makeup, and calmly waited for Long Chen’s arrival.
