Chapter 668: Chapter 668 Equilibrium Trade (1)_1

"No, nothing." Situ Xin certainly wouldn’t repeat what Baibai had said; she didn’t have the same thick skin as that stinky White Tiger.

"If it’s nothing, then let’s go." Xiao Muli didn’t press further after hearing Situ Xin say it was nothing.

"Hey, Muli, is it really okay for you to stick with me like this? I think you should go deal with the arms trade balance issues," suggested Situ Xin. She’d heard what Xiao Muli had mentioned earlier, but she felt it was best for the Family Head, Xiao Muli, to handle such a massive firearms deal personally.

However, Xiao Muli’s thoughts differed from Situ Xin’s. In his opinion, nothing was more important than being with the person he loved. Forget the mere arms trade—even if the Xiao Family were to face destruction, it wouldn’t be as important as his Baby.

"It’s fine, the matter can be handled by Che and Xuan. Oh, Che and Xuan are my left and right arms. They help me deal with the Xiao Family’s affairs when I’m not around," explained Xiao Muli, realizing that Situ Xin hadn’t met Che and Xuan yet.

As Xiao Muli spoke, he wrapped his arm around Situ Xin’s waist and began to walk towards his rest area. Surprisingly, Situ Xin obediently followed his lead, heading to the rest area and causing Baibai, who was trailing behind them, to grind its teeth in anger.

"That damn Xiao Muli, actually cajoling the master so obediently," Baibai grumbled to itself as it followed them. "I really underestimated this guy. If I had known he would wield such influence over my master, I wouldn’t have helped Xiao Muli in the beginning. I should’ve sabotaged his efforts instead."

If Xiao Muli had heard Baibai’s words, he would have certainly leapt out, pointed at Baibai, accused it of spouting nonsense, and questioned when it ever helped him; it was already doing well not to cause trouble.

Xiao Muli, remembering the personnel layout of the ammunition warehouse, intentionally steered Situ Xin and Baibai away from guarded areas. Deep down, he disliked the idea of everyone gazing at the woman he liked with astonishment and admiration.

He truly believed that Situ Xin belonged to him, that she was his treasure. He wanted to keep the woman he adored concealed, for him alone to gaze upon and appreciate. Of course, he knew this wasn’t possible. Still, he couldn’t help wanting to keep her from others’ sight as much as possible.

Mr. Edward, following Che and Xuan towards the ammunition warehouse, kept glancing back at Situ Xin, his face showing his reluctance to part.

It wasn’t until they passed by the people who Situ Xin had immobilized that he finally pulled his thoughts away from her.

Those paralyzed stood in various poses. Aside from moving their eyes, the rest of their bodies were completely motionless.

"Hey, Che, do you think they can hear us talking?" As Xuan walked past them, he reached out to touch one person here, poke another there. Even going so far as to wave his hand in front of their eyes to see if they could track the movement.

Che, seeing Xuan act like a child, shook his head helplessly. They had read about pressure point techniques in martial arts novels, but for Edward and the others, this was a foreign concept; they had never heard of such practices.

So, when Xuan started questioning, Edward and his colleagues also voiced their own curiosity: "Mr. Che, what kind of magic is this, to make people immobile yet still alive?"

"Yes, tell us, Mr. Che," urged Edward and the others, their faces alight with curiosity, eagerly awaiting Che’s explanation.

Che felt a headache brewing as he faced the foreigners’ eager stares, uncertain of how to respond. "Well, I don’t really know how to answer that. Honestly, I’m not too clear on it myself."

"Then, Mr. Che, could you let us meet that Oriental Fairy in person? We could ask her directly," Mr. Edward suggested craftily, shifting the topic back to Situ Xin. In his heart, he was still not giving up, still scheming to get closer to Situ Xin, the Oriental Fairy.

"Sorry, Mr. Edward, but I cannot answer that for you. You’d better come inside with me to check the merchandise," Che replied with a polite smile, all the while thinking, "Yeah right, you foreigner want to meet the Fairy; I’d like to as well. But given how protective our Family Head is, you’d be lucky to get a glimpse of her."

"Mr. Che, please talk to Mr. Xiao, see if it’s possible for me to meet the Oriental Fairy just once." Edward was still hopeful.

"Mr. Edward, you better give up that thought," Xuan intervened, his attention shifting from the paralyzed individuals. "You should have clearly heard what our master said earlier. You’ve also probably heard about Mr. Xiao’s temper; once he says something, it rarely gets taken back."

Reminded by Xuan of Xiao Muli’s temperament and his previous words, Edward reluctantly abandoned his little scheme.

The quality of the Xiao Family’s arms was guaranteed, especially with Situ Xin, who occasionally gave Xiao Muli advice and pointers, acting as a semi-expert in armaments. Although Situ Xin didn’t actively inquire about Xiao Muli’s affairs, she would still occasionally provide roundabout suggestions and reminders, which was why Xiao Muli was able to double the size of the Ammunition Empire in such a short time.

Che and Xuan might have curbed Edward’s interest, but deep down, they too weren’t as indifferent as they appeared. They were just as curious about Situ Xin’s identity, wondering how their master knew such a celestial being and why she was so highly skilled.
