Chapter 414: Chapter 414 Antidote (1)_1

"You speak. We’re listening," Loo Jie and Situ Che closed their mouths as soon as Situ Xin said this.

"This poison has an antidote," Situ Xin’s voice was loud enough for the drug lord to hear.

"That’s nonsense, this poison has no antidote," the drug lord said agitatedly.

"That’s because you don’t have it, but it doesn’t mean others don’t. Besides, if I remember correctly, the prescription for the poison you have is not this formula. What, haven’t you heard of the herbs listed at the top?" When Situ Xin found out about this formula the drug lord had, she speculated there might be some connection between the drug lord and cultivators. However, today, when she saw the drug lord, she made a point of checking him out.

The drug lord was not a cultivator, which allowed Situ Xin to breathe a sigh of relief.

"How do you know about that?" the drug lord said, his heart unsettled. The matter of him finding that ancient book was suppose to be unknown to the world. Even his closest confidants hadn’t heard a word from him about it; he had personally concocted the poison according to the recipe in the book, in a sealed chamber.

"How I know that is none of your concern. Anyway, let me be clear with you, I have the antidote to the poison you’re holding," Situ Xin said and then walked behind the drug lord. She took out a Silver Needle from her space and waved it towards his wrists and ankles.

"Ah, my hand." As soon as Situ Xin finished her move, a scream of agony came from the drug lord.

"Hmph, this is the punishment for you daring to harm my family," Situ Xin said as she threw the Silver Needle next to the drug lord, her eyes cold as she watched him. "If you hadn’t attacked my family, you might not have ended up in this situation today."

Having said that to the drug lord, Situ Xin then turned to Gao Chengzhou and said, "This drug lord, I leave him in your custody."

"Oh, okay, okay," Gao Chengzhou was shocked by Situ Xin’s presence, which didn’t fit her age. He hadn’t fully recovered when Situ Xin spoke to him, but she didn’t wait for him. After giving instructions, she returned to Loo Jie and her side with Baibai.

"Finish up the aftermath yourselves. I’ll take care of Brother Jie. Gather at the gate once you complete the mission," Situ Xin said emotionlessly to Jiang Anbang.

To be honest, Situ Xin was not satisfied with Jiang Anbang as a team leader. In her opinion, Jiang Anbang was only fit to be a team member. Positions that required strategic decision-making, like being a team leader, really didn’t suit him. Situ Xin thought she needed to have a serious talk with the elders back home.

Situ Che and the special forces had gone to finish the clean-up. Only Situ Xin, Loo Jie, members of The Dark Division, and Gao Chengzhou remained with the drug lord.

Situ Xin helped Loo Jie to lie down on Baibai. Although Loo Jie had taken the antidote, the pain that came from deep within his bones had drained all his strength. It was fortunate that his body, having been nurtured by Situ Xin, was in much better condition than the average person’s, otherwise he might have been overpowered by the poison. Loo Jie just needed to rest well to recover his strength.

Lying on the ground, the drug lord looked at Situ Xin’s actions with deep resentment. When Situ Xin turned her head back, she caught the begrudging look in his eyes. "Don’t be bitter. I would say that as an Ancient Martial Arts practitioner with something that others don’t possess, if you had stayed on the right path, you wouldn’t have ended up like this. You had the choice of heaven’s path, but you chose to break into hell instead."

"I can’t stand the idea of submitting to others," the drug lord said, looking at Situ Xin.

"I don’t think it’s about submitting to others, it’s the greed in your heart. And you always thought you were the strongest, that as a strong person, you wanted everyone to admire you, to stand at the peak of this world. These thoughts of yours aren’t wrong per se, but you chose the wrong direction," Situ Xin said, growing impatient with the drug lord and waving him off. "Why am I even telling you all this?"

"I’m already a prisoner, and you’ve disabled my martial abilities. All I want to know now is who you are and where you come from," the drug lord persisted, waiting for Situ Xin’s answer. He had always felt that Situ Xin was no ordinary person; at the very least, he believed that she was not one of the common folk.

"Heh, who I am doesn’t matter; my name is Situ Xin. As for where I come from, of course, it’s from Capital City,"

Situ Xin answered truthfully, but the drug lord clearly didn’t believe it. He didn’t ask any further questions, just looked at Situ Xin with disbelief. Meanwhile, Situ Xin stopped talking to the drug lord and focused on caring for Loo Jie’s well-being.

With the capture of the drug lord, his men lost their leader and were in disarray. The special action team of the special forces didn’t have to exert much effort to capture everyone in the drug den, from the drug lord’s confidants down to the cook in the kitchen.

When Situ Che and his team emerged from the den with the prisoners, the drug lord glanced at them and then closed his eyes. His expression didn’t change, possibly because he had already accepted his fate when Situ Xin severed his tendons. Knowing that his life was effectively over, he did not show much emotion upon seeing his subordinates captured.

"Is everything over? Then we can return," Situ Xin said, looking at Situ Che and the others with their prisoners.

"Yes, I’ll contact headquarters right now," Jiang Anbang took out his communicator.

When Jiang Anbang got through to the headquarters, the staff there were in a meeting. And they were in the middle of a heated debate, split into two factions arguing whether to send reinforcements to Situ Che and the team.

So when the commander received Jiang Anbang’s call, saying the mission was accomplished and asking for permission to return, the commander was stunned for a moment before regaining composure and asked incredulously, "You, you’re saying you’ve completed the mission?"
