Chapter 378: Chapter 378 The Huge Group of Relatives and Friends (2)_1

"Alright, you go ahead with your mom. Us old folks," Old Master Situ said, stretching out his hand and ruffling Situ Xin’s hair, "will listen to Baby and go see where Baby will be studying for the next four years."

"Hey, Grandpa, you’ve messed up my hairstyle," Situ Xin pouted and complained.

"Ah, I forgot our Baby has grown up and started to care about looks," Old Master Situ laughed heartily.

"Hmph, I’m not talking to you anymore, Grandpa. I’m going to register with Mom," Situ Xin said. She was just about to grab her mom, Loo Yaxin’s hand, and slip away to say goodbye to everyone and leave when she saw someone she didn’t particularly want to see—Fu Xiaoyi. To her inner amazement, it seemed like a twist of fate that they, quite fortunately, became schoolmates.

When Situ Xin spotted Fu Xiaoyi, the latter had just gotten out of a flashy Mercedes sports car. Then, with a press on the accelerator, the sports car roared off and left the scene.

The sound of the Mercedes revving its engine caught the attention of Old Master Situ and Old Master Loo, who frowned disapprovingly at the departing car and said to the group of school leaders, "Xiao Jin, this school is a place for students to learn. Things like this that distract the students should be properly managed."

Upon hearing Old Master Situ’s words, the leaders promptly agreed saying, "Yes, yes, Old Chief is right. We will take measures to improve."

While Situ Xin was looking at Fu Xiaoyi, she happened to catch the latter’s gaze as well.

Seeing Situ Xin, Fu Xiaoyi’s face turned somewhat pale. But soon, she composed herself, took a glance at Situ Xin and, pretending not to recognize her, walked towards the school.

Situ Xin didn’t dwell on the fact that she saw Fu Xiaoyi on the first day of school. She cheerfully took her mom, Loo Yaxin’s hand, and went to register.

On the first school day, Situ Xin did not attend the class meeting.

However, she had already obtained the textbooks and the timetable for the semester from Principal Jin.

Situ Xin directly went to school on the day classes officially began.

"Hello, may I know which class you’re in? I don’t recall seeing you before," Situ Xin said, arriving at the school early with her timetable, carrying her books, hugging Baibai, looking for her classroom. As she was just checking if she was at the right classroom at the entrance of Room 304 in the second teaching building, a sunny, handsome boy in a white T-shirt approached her and asked.

"I’m in Finance Class 1. This should be our classroom for today’s lesson, right?" Situ Xin said, smiling politely at the boy.

At her smile, not only that boy but also all the boys in the classroom were stunned, silently staring at Situ Xin. This made a few of the good-looking girls in the class instantly jealous.

"Hey, are you alright?" Situ Xin waved her hand in front of the boy’s face, bringing him out of his daze. "Ah, I’m fine. This is Finance Class 1. I’m Jin Tianlei, the class president. Why weren’t you at the class meeting yesterday?" Tian Jinlei introduced himself enthusiastically.

"I had some family matters, so I didn’t attend the meeting," Situ Xin said, impressed by the outgoing, sunny class president.

"Oh, really?" Tian Jinlei’s eyes widened in disbelief as he stammered, "You’re not possibly Situ Xin from Capital City, the top science student and our class’s number one, are you?"

"Yes, that’s me. Is there a problem?" Situ Xin asked, perceiving that Tian Jinlei was visibly shaken.

"No, no problem," although Tian Jinlei said there was no problem, he seemed very much affected, having not expected the Capital City’s top science student Situ Xin to look completely different from the stereotypical nerd with thick glasses that they had imagined.

Not only was Tian Jinlei struck by this revelation, but most of the class was also taken aback. Only a small group of students, who had come from the same high school as Situ Xin, wore expressions that said they knew all along.

Situ Xin, feeling everyone’s eyes on her, wasn’t bothered by being the center of attention—it was something she was almost used to by now. But checking her watch, she said to Tian Jinlei, "Class president, class is about to start. Can I go in and find a seat?"

"Oh, sorry about that. Please, go ahead," Tian Jinlei suddenly realized he had been in the way.

"No worries," Situ Xin said, holding onto Baibai, and walked into the classroom to find a random seat.

As soon as she sat down, she heard a sharp, mean-spirited voice from a girl, "Hmph, she looks like a vixen. So annoying."

Hearing the girl’s words, Situ Xin’s expression darkened slightly. Even Baibai, who was lying in her arms resting, opened its eyes sharply at the remark, "Which blind fool dares to insult my master, I’ll go slap her to death with one paw."

"Baibai, don’t get excited, this is a school. As long as she doesn’t insult me openly, let’s pretend we didn’t hear it," Situ Xin said, not interested in engaging with such a petty girl.

After Situ Xin entered the classroom, Tian Jinlei followed and settled next to his new-found friend. As he sat down, Lin Shaohui, who had hit it off with him in the dormitory the night before, nudged him and whispered, "Hey bro, how did it feel talking to the super beauty?"

"What are you talking about? What nonsense are you spouting?" Tian Jinlei turned red when Lin Shaohui prodded him like that.
