She had heard from Lu Juan that this fabric couldn’t be found domestically.

Old Madam Situ was not worried about the fabric in Situ Xin’s hands; rather, she was concerned about Situ Xin handling the scissors, afraid Situ Xin might accidentally cut herself. "Baby, why don’t you tell grandma how you want to cut, and grandma will help you with it?"

"Ah, grandma, mom, don’t talk for now, just wait until I’m done cutting, then you can speak." Situ Xin’s action of cutting was interrupted by both of them, causing her to stop.

Both Old Madam Situ and Loo Yaxin knew Situ Xin’s temperament well and that once she had made up her mind, they couldn’t change it. However, Situ Xin’s response surprised both Old Madam Situ and Loo Yaxin quite a bit. Tailoring and making clothes might be something one could learn after a bit of instruction, but embroidery was not so simple. It required a long time to learn, and even with Situ Xin’s talent, it wasn’t something one could learn overnight. Besides, they had never seen Situ Xin learn it.

"Baby, are you sure you know how to embroider?" Loo Yaxin asked.

"Grandma, mom, you’re asking so many questions when you could simply watch and see," Situ Xin regretted telling Old Madam when she would start making clothes. She should have done it quietly and only shown them a finished dress afterwards. Then they wouldn’t have had so many questions.

The first gown Situ Xin made was a modified cheongsam, embroidered with a phoenix. Even though the embroidery was time-consuming, and Situ Xin had only managed to embroider a small part after half a day’s work, seeing what Situ Xin was stitching, Old Madam Situ and Loo Yaxin had no more doubts.

It took Situ Xin two days to embroider the phoenix on the entire gown, of course, because she took the gown into her space to work on it, allowing her to finish it so quickly. When Situ Xin showed the finished phoenix embroidery to Old Madam Situ and the others, they were all astonished.
