Chapter 125: Chapter 125 Baibai, Ginseng Fruit (2)_1

"It’s really effective when it matters, and Grandpa, my master brought me some great things yesterday." Situ Xin was ready to shift the conversation away from Baibai.

Unfortunately, just as she finished speaking, her slightly slow-reacting dad suddenly exclaimed, "Baby, you have a tiger in your arms!"

As soon as Situ Haotian spoke, he was met with two cold stares, one from his precious daughter and the other from his old man. Both Situ Xin and Old Master Situ were muttering to themselves about the ridiculous reactions, thinking that they would need to step up their training in the future.

Situ Haotian was unaware that because of this incident, both his daughter and father were keeping him in mind for some serious training to come.

"Daddy, this is the little tiger my master gave me. It won’t hurt me. It’s so cute." Situ Xin said as she gestured for Baibai to do some cute actions. "See, isn’t it adorable?" she said with a sheepish smile.

"Eh, yes, it’s very cute." Situ Haotian couldn’t bring himself to say anything negative in the face of his daughter’s expectant eyes.

Pleased with herself for getting her father’s affirmation, Situ Xin thought, "With my dad’s words, if we have to vote later on whether to keep Baibai or not, Dad will have to vote in favor."

"Oh, right, Grandpa, my master also brought me a lot of nice things yesterday." While holding Baibai, Situ Xin sat at the dining table and handed a pancake to Baibai, then continued to speak.

"Oh, so your master brought you some nice things again? Over the years, your master has really spent a lot on you," Old Master Situ acknowledged, aware that every gift from Situ Xin’s master was nothing short of impressive, truly rare treasures of the world.

Initially, Old Master Situ, Old Master Loo, and even Old Master Xiao had wished to meet Situ Xin’s master, but the master was elusive, coming and going without a trace, impossible to meet. Over time, the three grandfathers realized that such a noble person wasn’t someone they could meet just because they wanted to, so they let go of that wish.

"Ah, these things are nothing to my master," Situ Xin said casually. Then, she took out five or six Ginseng Fruits from a Jade Token she carried with her.

Old Master Situ, Situ Haotian, and Loo Yaxin who had just arrived at the dining room, along with Situ Jin and Old Madam Situ, were all stunned. "Baby, where did you get these things from?" Old Master Situ hadn’t yet noticed the Ginseng Fruits on the table; his attention was still on the motion Situ Xin had made while taking things out.

"Oh, I took them out of this Jade Token. I have more stuff in there," Situ Xin said, as she took out several Jade Pendants from the token and placed them on the table. "Grandpa, these were given to me by my master. This is a Storage Jade Token with a space of over a hundred square feet inside. Plus, whatever you put inside won’t deteriorate; it stays exactly as it was when you put it in."

"Baby, what’s this on the table?" Loo Yaxin asked, having been behind Situ Xin. She only saw Situ Xin put the Ginseng Fruits on the table but didn’t see where Situ Xin had taken them from. Thus, her attention was focused on the Ginseng Fruits.

Upon hearing Loo Yaxin’s words, both Old Master Situ and Situ Haotian looked at the items Situ Xin had placed on the table. "Are these, are these Ginseng Fruits?" Old Master Situ was so excited he could hardly speak clearly.

"Grandpa, you recognize them?" Situ Xin hadn’t expected Old Master Situ to recognize the Ginseng Fruits so quickly.

"I’ve seen them in those mythological stories. I never thought they actually existed in this world," Old Master Situ quickly composed himself.

"Ginseng Fruit? Grandpa, do they sell Ginseng Fruits outside too? Are they the same as what Sister took out?" Situ Jin asked, puzzled.

"They’re different. The ones sold outside are called Ginseng Fruits, and they have certain nutritional values, but they’re not the same as these. These are immortal fruits; eating them can prolong life and delay aging," Situ Xin explained. "Here you go, Grandpa, my master said to give one of these Ginseng Fruits to each of you. I’ll give you the rest later."

Old Master Situ opened his mouth as if to say something, but in the end, he said nothing. "Oh, Grandpa, what’s with that expression? I haven’t finished talking yet. Grandma, Mom, Brother, please have a seat." Situ Xin gestured for everyone to sit down, then handed out the Jade Tokens and Jade Pendants to them. "Here, each Jade Token and Jade Pendant has a space within. Just drop your own blood onto the token, and it will recognize you as its master."

Old Madam Situ and Loo Yaxin looked reflexively at their husbands, and after getting their approval, they accepted the gifts.

Situ Xin gave the remaining Ginseng Fruits, along with the Jade Tokens and Jade Pendants to her grandfather. She felt relieved, having distributed everything.

Originally, Situ Xin wasn’t planning to take Baibai to school, but as soon as Baibai heard that it was going to be left behind, it didn’t say a word, just looked at Situ Xin with its pitiful eyes. And Situ Xin couldn’t resist Baibai’s gaze, so she eventually compromised. "Alright, stop looking at me like that. You’ve won, I give up." Situ Xin surrendered to Baibai. "You can come to school with me, but you’ll have to stay in my backpack, okay? And don’t make any noise during class, or I’ll throw you into the space," she threatened Baibai.

"Mhm, Master, don’t worry, I’ll be very good," Baibai replaced its pitiful façade with a smile, its tiger eyes twinkling with mirth.

Situ Xin then lined her backpack with a lot of cotton, before placing Baibai inside. As for her books, they used to be in "Phoenix Nest," but now she kept them in the storage space.

Over the past few years, Situ Xin had done very well at school; her good grades and young age made her a favorite among the teachers. Although she was very pretty, arguably the prettiest girl in school, most of the students didn’t resent her because of her young age. Of course, a small number of narrow-minded girls were still filled with hostility towards Situ Xin.
