Chapter 122: Chapter 122: Space Treasure Hunt (2)_1
"Wow, this design is really ingenious. If I ever craft artifacts in the future, I’ll definitely create something with even more powerful spiritual energy," Situ Xin said. After speaking, the thought of material scarcity caused her eyes to dim momentarily.
But when she lifted her head and looked toward the corner, her eyes instantly brightened. There lay the crafting materials she had been searching for so long without a trace.
Situ Xin put down the bow in her hands and hurried over. She hadn’t expected that today’s cave exploration would yield such a bounty. At last, she could craft her own artifacts.
After her excitement faded, Situ Xin carefully wandered the cave again. To her surprise, most of the spiritual energy within the cave was from top-grade spiritual weapons. In the Cultivation World, many people dreamed of obtaining such powerful artifacts.
However, Situ Xin merely admired these top-grade spiritual weapons without taking any. She felt that weapons crafted by herself would be best, so she just looked around without picking any up. These top-grade spiritual weapons didn’t capture Situ Xin’s interest; instead, she was drawn to various jewelry-like items stored in a box.
Situ Xin picked up one and fiddled with it in her hand. "Hehe, I didn’t expect these pieces of jewelry to be storage items." She tried to probe into the Jade Pendant in her hand and discovered it contained over a hundred square feet of space. "Hmm, not bad, these will be perfect to give to Dad and Uncle," she muttered, grabbing several Jade Tokens and Jade Pendants to stuff into her pockets. Fortunately, she was still a child. Her mother, Loo Yaxin, always chose clothes with pockets for her, even pajamas.
However, the pockets could only hold so many Jade Pendants before they were full, and she had more than just a few people to give them to. So, she found something like a thin rope, strung the Jade Pendants onto it, and tied it around her neck.
After completing this task, Situ Xin continued to venture further into the cave. There was only one path for her to take, leading deeper inside.
As Situ Xin arrived at the entrance to another cavern, she felt something calling her from within, urging her to enter quickly. The perceptive Situ Xin sensed it immediately.
Without hesitation, she stepped forward into the cavern. Inside, she found it barren, except for a furry, curled-up creature lying on a jade bed emanating a chilly aura at the very back.
Due to the distance and the creature’s curled position, Situ Xin couldn’t decipher what it was after pondering for a while. Initially, she would have chosen not to approach, but despite her reluctance, her feet carried her towards the jade bed and right up to the furry creature.
Possibly detecting Situ Xin’s presence, the creature uncurled and lifted its head. When Situ Xin saw it, she was stunned; she had never imagined the furry creature to be a Little White Tiger. Moreover, it was an all-white Tiger.
And perhaps it was an illusion, but she thought she saw a look of grievance and pitifulness in the Tiger’s eyes. What was more incredible was that she found herself reaching out, almost involuntarily, to stroke the Little White Tiger’s head.
But just as her hand was about to touch the Little White Tiger’s head, the creature suddenly stretched out its paw and scratched Situ Xin’s hand. She felt a sharp pain, and blood flowed from her hand onto the Tiger. Then, she was hit by a wave of pressure as the Tiger let out a roar.
While Situ Xin was still unclear about what had just happened, she suddenly heard a voice, "Master, master," the voice of a four or five-year-old boy.
"Who’s there? Who’s talking?" Situ Xin furrowed her brow, unable to understand how there could be someone else in her space.
"Ah, Master, it’s me! I’m right in front of you," the voice echoed as Situ Xin looked around guardedly.
Situ Xin turned her head and looked straight ahead, her eyes meeting those of the Little White Tiger. "Are you the one talking?" she asked the Little White Tiger in disbelief.
Though she found it hard to believe, she could tell from the Little White Tiger’s gaze that it was indeed speaking. "Yes, it’s me talking, Master, Baibai has missed you so much."
"Master? Missed me?" Situ Xin was baffled by the Little White Tiger’s words. "Are you referring to me as your master? Have we met before?"
"Of course, you’re my master. Of course, we’ve met before. Oh Master, I’ve just renewed our contract, so in this life, you’re my master again," said the Little White Tiger, wagging its tail happily, while Situ Xin was utterly confused by its words. It all seemed so jumbled.
"Wait, you mean we’ve met before, right?" Situ Xin asked after gathering her thoughts. "Of course, you’ve been with me since I was born," replied the Little White Tiger and, without any reservation, leaped into Situ Xin’s arms. She instinctively caught it. The Little White Tiger then snuggled comfortably into her embrace and said with evident enjoyment, "Wow, Master’s arms are still so comfortable. Baibai loves it."
Situ Xin smiled as she watched the Little White Tiger indulge in the comfort, lightly stroking its back. All of this felt incredibly natural to her.
"If I was already your master, why did we need to sign the contract again?" she inquired while scratching the Little White Tiger’s back.
"That’s because of you, Master," the Little White Tiger began before suddenly stopping. It covered its mouth with a paw and looked up at Situ Xin with an innocent expression.
"Baibai, why have you stopped talking?" Situ Xin gazed into the Little White Tiger’s eyes and asked.
