Chapter 111: Chapter 111 Results (3)_1
"There hasn’t been any action from the underlings of Dragon Society, and everyone adheres strictly to discipline. Your last move really subdued them." What Xia Yujie didn’t say was that the elders also kept coming to him, asking about Situ Xin.
No sooner had Xia Yujie finished speaking than Liu Yuxiang said, "Master, the way you’re talking, it sounds like this money is nothing to you. Do you have a way to solve the problem?" Liu Yuxiang had just blurted this out without really meaning it, but to his surprise, Situ Xin replied nonchalantly, "Yes, I can handle the money."
"What?" The car suddenly stopped, and Situ Xin couldn’t avoid the misfortune of her forehead hitting the seat back in front of her.
Hey, Liu Yuxiang, what are you slamming the brakes for?" Situ Xin touched her forehead and glared at Liu Yuxiang.
"Um, Master, sorry, sorry about that." Underneath Situ Xin’s fierce glare, Liu Yuxiang stammered, frightened.
"Alright, Xiang, let me switch with you, I’ll drive," said Xia Yujie, shaking his head in resignation. His friend always acted so rashly. Luckily, he had been wearing his seatbelt while sitting in the front, otherwise he figured he wouldn’t be much better off.
For the rest of the journey, Situ Xin kept her mouth shut. Although someone else took the wheel, she was still afraid that anything she said might cause another abrupt stop.
When Xia Yujie drove straight to the headquarters of Dragon Society, and the three of them got out of the car and walked into the building, the underlings at the door greeted with respect, "Big Brother, Young Master Yuxiang." They hadn’t seen Situ Xin before, so they found her presence somewhat peculiar and speculated about her identity in their minds.
"Miss, was what you just said true? Can you really handle the financial issue?" The moment they entered the office, Xia Yujie couldn’t help but ask. He was truly anxious; the matter of money had kept him up for nights on end.
"Yes, I can take care of it," Situ Xin replied, finding a seat and sitting down.
"Master, that’s not a small amount of money. Are you sure?" Liu Yuxiang also found it hard to believe what Situ Xin had said, knowing that even selling all his blocked assets wouldn’t cover it.
"I know, do you think I’m a three-year-old child?" Liu Yuxiang’s expression became bizarre at Situ Xin’s words, struggling to hold back a laugh. "What’s that look for? If you have something to say, just say it."
"Master, you told me to say it," said Liu Yuxiang, his expression saying you asked for it, don’t blame me. "Master, whether or not you’re a three-year-old child, you’re only about five. That’s only two years older than three."
Upon hearing Liu Yuxiang’s words, Situ Xin paused; the recent flurry of activity had almost made her forget that she was only five. She had always acted like an adult. "Well, how much money is needed in the end?" Situ Xin deliberately changed the subject as she had no desire to keep dwelling on her age.
"About twenty million," Xia Yujie said. As he spoke, he braced himself to see a surprised look on Situ Xin’s face. Twenty million at that time was a much bigger deal than it would be a decade or two later.
But when Situ Xin heard it, her expression didn’t change in the slightest. "Oh, twenty million? I thought it would be much more." She had been reborn five years ago, and apart from letting her uncle and aunt help her make money, she hadn’t spent a dime herself. Whatever she needed, if it wasn’t available in her space, her family had already provided it, so she really didn’t have any concept of money.
"You think twenty million is, is not a lot?" Liu Yuxiang was quite shocked. He almost wanted to ask Situ Xin if her family owned a bank.
"Isn’t it?" Situ Xin responded. "When do you need it? I can give it to you." Saying this, Situ Xin recalled how much was in the bank deposit slip her uncle had arranged for her after selling the stocks.
"The sooner the better. Many stores are urgently waiting for the money," Xia Yujie said. Though he was surprised, he was in dire need of money and couldn’t afford to care about the details.
"Okay, then. I’ll give it to you tomorrow, but just to be clear, I’m not lending you the money," Situ Xin said, picking up a cup and sipping some tea.
"If not a loan, then what is it?" Xia Yujie asked, puzzled. Not only was he confused, but Liu Yuxiang also didn’t understand what Situ Xin meant.
"I’m investing. That is, I’ll contribute capital to the assets beneath Dragon Society, and in return, I’ll take shares," Situ Xin said, sipping her tea with a relaxed air, her head lowered.
"This..." Xia Yujie hadn’t expected Situ Xin to make such a proposal. And Situ Xin had thought of this on a whim, as she had recently been worried about how to plan for the substantial amount of money in her bank account. She didn’t like leaving her money in the bank earning interest; in her previous life, Situ Xin had studied finance at an overseas university in her spare time, aiming to make better use of the money in her bank.
Just when she was fretting about it, Xia Yujie had come to her. Seeing Xia Yujie hesitate, Situ Xin spoke up, "Xia Yujie, there’s no need to hesitate. Not to mention that without the money I put up, your assets would go bankrupt. With my involvement, I can make the industries under Dragon Society grow even bigger." Situ Xin said this with utmost confidence.
After thinking, Xia Yujie knew that Situ Xin was right. He didn’t want to see the business his father left behind go bankrupt in his hands. "Okay, I agree."
"Then it’s settled. I’ll bring the money tomorrow evening. Oh, and have your lawyer ready. We’ll need to sign a contract," Situ Xin said, putting her tea cup down.
"Yes, I understand," Xia Yujie replied.
"Now that the matter of money is settled, it’s time to talk about training. Once the issues with these assets are resolved, pick out fifty men from the many underlings of Dragon Society; I will train them when the time comes." Situ Xin shared her plans, which she had thought out well in advance, but indeed, helping Xia Yujie was a significant reason why she had done it.
"Okay, I know what to do. I’ll handle it and call you when I’m done," Xia Yujie agreed without a second thought.
"What about me, Master? What do I do?" Liu Yuxiang asked eagerly.
