"If there were a way, I’d have said so earlier. Why would I wait until now?" Liu Yuxiang slumped onto the couch, speaking without any concern for his image. Originally, he was supposed to retire honorably after helping Xia Yujie get his revenge. However, seeing his brothers getting so incredibly frazzled over Dragon Society matters without a moment’s rest, he couldn’t bear it. With the thought of helping them out, he’d been dealing with the gang’s affairs alongside them. Unexpectedly, the more he got involved, the more he felt a sense of belonging, and thus he worked with increasing vigor. "Ah, if I’d known there’d be such a need for money, I wouldn’t have fallen out with my old man so badly. All my assets are frozen; I can’t access a dime," Liu Yuxiang sighed. "Hey, Ah Jie, how about we gamble? It’s a quick way to make money."

As soon as Liu Yuxiang finished speaking, Xia Yujie shot him a lethal glare. "You’ve got to be kidding. We’re not exactly experts at gambling. We might as well throw away what little we have left if we’re not careful. Plus, we own a casino, we can’t just cheat in our own place. If we get caught, we’d be finished on the streets."

As they both frowned over their financial woes, Xia Yujie’s pager went off. He picked it up and answered, "Hello, hi."

"Hello, is this Xia Yujie?" Having dealt with drug lords and Country R’s affairs over the past few days, Situ Xin remembered that aside from when she needed to use the pager, Xia Yujie’s device was always turned off. She’d promised to keep in touch with them and had told them to call her if anything came up. So she turned it on and called Xia Yujie as soon as she got back to her room in the evening.

"Yes, Miss, is that you?" Xia Yujie had just replied when Liu Yuxiang, who had been sprawled on the couch, suddenly perked up. "What? My master? She finally showed up; I thought she had forgotten about her disciple."

Hearing Liu Yuxiang’s words over the phone, Situ Xin chuckled lightly and responded, "It’s me. Sorry, something came up at home, and I got caught up dealing with it, so I forgot to let you know." Situ Xin knew it was a lapse on her part and guessed that during this time, Xia Yujie and the others must have tried to contact her many times.

"No worries. Is everything alright now? Do you need me to step in and help?" Xia Yujie clearly remembered that Situ Xin had helped him out in hopes of using his influence to protect her family. And since he had promised her, he would follow through, even amidst his current problems.

"Thanks." Situ Xin was pleased and slightly moved that Xia Yujie offered to help without being asked. "It’s all sorted out. Besides, Dragon Society isn’t strong enough to help me out yet." Her words were unsparing, but truthful. The kind of trouble she had encountered would have been a challenge even for special forces, let alone a gang like Dragon Society.

"Miss, don’t worry, I will strengthen Dragon Society. One day, it will be strong enough to help you." Xia Yujie acknowledged the truth in Situ Xin’s words, but it still hurt to hear, especially considering Dragon Society’s current predicament, which quickly brought his mood down.

As astute as ever, Situ Xin could easily pick up on Xia Yujie’s emotional dip. "What happened?" she asked. Although phrased as a question, her tone was one of certainty.

"A few things have gone wrong, but they’re just minor issues. Miss, I’ll take care of it," Xia Yujie believed. Though her martial arts skills were formidable and her family was undoubtedly extraordinary, those things didn’t relate to her need for money. Plus, she had already helped him a great deal, and he really didn’t want to trouble her further.

"Xia Yujie, you think I’m a three-year-old kid," Situ Xin shot back. Without thinking, Xia Yujie reflexively thought, "Yes, not a three-year-old kid, but only five years old at most."

Situ Xin paused momentarily before adding, "If it’s really just a small issue, then why haven’t the two of you sorted it out yet? Alright, come pick me up at the usual spot. We’ll talk once we meet." With that, she hung up.

"What did she say?" an excited Liu Yuxiang asked Xia Yujie.

"The Miss has guessed we’re in trouble and told us to pick her up at the usual spot," said Xia Yujie, grabbing the car keys off the table and heading out.

"Hey, wait for me. I’m coming with you." Liu Yuxiang no longer cared about being tired and chased out after Xia Yujie.

"Master, you finally showed up; I thought you’d forgotten about me," Liu Yuxiang said, jumping out of the car and pretending to be aggrieved as he saw Situ Xin.

"Enough with that face. It doesn’t suit you," Situ Xin said, glancing at Liu Yuxiang before turning to Xia Yujie, "Come on, let’s find a place to talk."

"Here, let me get the door for you," Liu Yuxiang hurriedly opened the car door for Situ Xin, eager to please.

"Alright, I haven’t forgotten you. I’ll teach you some moves in a few days," Situ Xin could clearly discern the little thoughts running through Liu Yuxiang’s head.

"Eh, thank you, Master!" A delighted Liu Yuxiang couldn’t hide his smile upon hearing her words.

Once in the car, Situ Xin wasted no time. To Xia Yujie, who had been quiet so far, she said, "Now tell me, what exactly happened?"

Xia Yujie knew he couldn’t hide it any longer and confessed, "Recently, due to turmoil within Dragon Society, many managers of our various businesses embezzled funds and fled. Although I’ve sent people after them, none have been caught. Many businesses can’t operate normally due to the severed cash flow, and if we can’t raise money soon, a lot of enterprises will have to shut down." After finishing, Xia Yujie sighed.
