Chapter 100: Rescue (1)_1

Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Rescue (1)_1

And those two guards, completely unaware, were immobilized, with only their eyes wide with terror. What horrified them even more was that they only saw a short dark figure flash by their side, bringing a gust of wind, but couldn’t see what it was.

Situ Xin didn’t bother with the two guards at the door. Although they were immobilized, to outsiders, they still looked like they were dutifully standing guard, with nothing amiss. Therefore, all she needed to do was daringly rescue the people during their shift change.

The warehouse was filled with all sorts of boxes, and Situ Xin had no idea what was inside. At that moment, she wasn’t concerned with the contents. She maintained a high level of vigilance, not knowing if there were people inside guarding Situ Haotian and the others. She tiptoed softly and was ready with a needle in one hand, and her other hand reached for the gun in her bag.

At the slightest sign of trouble, she was prepared to act. But until she found Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing, bound hand and foot, she didn’t see a soul. Situ Xin thought to herself, "Boss Sheng can’t be that overconfident." Indeed, Boss Sheng, having connections with the higher-ups and being very confident in the security of his base, wasn’t worried in the slightest that someone would come to rescue Situ Haoran and the others.

When Situ Xin moved, she liked to wear a baseball cap and press the brim down low, making it difficult for people to see her face. Even without seeing her features, Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing recognized her at first glance. They both exclaimed in surprise, "Baby!" "Xiao Xin!"

The subordinates of Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing, however, were full of surprise; they couldn’t believe their superiors knew this little girl. Besides astonishment, they speculated about who this little girl was and why she was in this den of poison.

"Why are you making such a big fuss, do you want to lead the outsiders in here?" Situ Xin didn’t call for help; she didn’t want the subordinates of Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing to know her identity.

When addressed by Situ Xin like this, although Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing were incredibly surprised, they still adjusted their emotions. Situ Haotian asked, "Baby, how did you get here?"

"Isn’t that a redundant question? What else could I be here for, obviously to rescue you guys." Saying that, Situ Xin took out a Swiss Army knife from her bag, went over to Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing, and cut the ropes that bound them.

"Are there any others?" Xiao Guobing asked after regaining his freedom.

"Nope, just me," said Situ Xin with a shrug.

"What? Just you?" Situ Haotian’s voice rose again in excitement.

"Don’t get so worked up. Hurry up. Let’s go," Situ Xin remarked after seeing Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing freed, speaking out loud. The subordinates who had thought they were being rescued frowned instantly upon hearing Situ Xin’s words.

"What about them?" Situ Haoran pointed to the others who were still tied up.

Situ Xin indifferently said, "Them? They’ll of course stay here." Situ Xin was never one to be warm-hearted; in this life, she would only reach out to those she recognized as her own.

"But..." Xiao Guobing tried to interject but was interrupted by Situ Xin, "No buts. Let’s not even discuss whether they have the capability to escape from here; among these people, there are spies from the other side. Otherwise, do you think you would have been captured so easily by them?"

Hearing Situ Xin’s words, everyone’s faces changed.

Her words made Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing look very uncomfortable, but they still looked at their subordinates. After all, they had trained, lived, and been close for quite some time, and it was hard to abandon those bonds and emotions.

Situ Xin was well aware of her father’s and Uncle Xiao’s thoughts. She didn’t want to waste any time. "Alright, the two of you move quickly. Search them. If you find any communication devices, that’s the mole. If not, you can set them free."

As soon as Situ Xin spoke, one person’s complexion instantly changed. The person couldn’t help but tremble—a reaction that didn’t escape Situ Xin’s notice. "Search that one," she said without expecting the spy to reveal himself so easily. While Situ Haotian and Xiao Guobing began the search, she started to untie the others.

True enough, they found a communication device on that person. "So it’s you." Everyone glared at the betrayer with murderous eyes.

"Alright, don’t bother with him anymore. We need to make a quick retreat." Because she was in a special environment, she had been paying close attention to her surroundings. As the mole was about to shout out, her needle swiftly pierced one of his acupoints. He mouthed to scream but no sound came out.

Situ Xin’s quick action was seen by everyone. Each person looked at her with admiration in their eyes, and if they weren’t still in enemy territory, they would have probably swarmed her with questions.

Situ Xin dug through her ever-ready bag for a while and pulled out several compact pistols. The bag was specially prepared to cover her tracks, and when she took items from it, she was actually accessing her Personal Space.

The guns weren’t as advanced as the ones she’d given to Situ Haotian and the others before. Most of these firearms were made by Situ Xin in her free time or for practice. In addition to the guns, Situ Xin also gave each person a Talisman with offensive abilities. Since she had decided to rescue these people, she wouldn’t let anything happen to them along the way.

"Hold on to what I’ve given you. There are also patrols outside, and they are quite dense. Other than the patrols, this whole place is under surveillance, so when we go out, remember to stay close to me and not stray too far, nor walk on your own route," Situ Xin advised. She knew an encounter was unavoidable if they were spotted. She wasn’t worried if it were just Situ Haotian or Xiao Guobing, but with the addition of the others, she couldn’t guarantee their safety.

"You hear that? Stick close. From now on, everyone will follow her commands," Situ Haotian ordered.
