The Purgatory Calamity
Chapter 696 - 658: The Ultimate Power in Thunder Prison_1

Chapter 696: Chapter 658: The Ultimate Power in Thunder Prison_1

Two Thunder Clan warriors, a Vermilion Bird Divine Bird, a unicorn with a translucent white body, and a giant serpent with greenish-blue patterns.

Two from the Alien Tribes, three Demon Gods, all with tenth level bloodlines.

This power, if placed in Dark Prison, would mean the Exotic Spirit Star Devourer couldn’t continue to poison Dark Prison, and might instead be imprisoned and suppressed by them, dismembering it piece by piece to take its treasures.

The five supreme beings, even in today’s Purgatory, constituted a force not to be underestimated.

If the Dragon Cave Demon Race were to suddenly gain three tenth level Demon Gods, their arrogance would undoubtedly surge once more.

As Pang Jian marveled at the overwhelming combat strength of the Thunder Prison, he was also squinting, observing closely.

A male and a female Thunder Clan warrior, appearing to be in their forties or fifties, dressed plainly.

Surrounding the Vermilion Bird Divine Bird were thunder and lightning and flames, its bloodline astonishingly accommodating two types of law Divine Skills.

The unicorn exuded a surprising cold force, and lightning flickered in its eyes.

Like the Vermilion Bird, it naturally integrated both the mysteries of ice and thunder into one.

The giant serpent, however, only understood the properties of water and felt its life’s essence was much like the Primordial Serpent in Purgatory.

The Thunder Clan, Vermilion Bird, unicorn, and giant serpent, these five mightiest beings in the world entered the Mysterious Fog together, encircling Pang Jian’s Immortal Primordial Spirit.

They were as if facing a formidable enemy.

Since ancient times, no Alien God Spirit had ever managed to appear openly and in true form in Thunder Prison.

Like Purgatory, Thunder Prison also had Boundary Walls and Heaven Forbiddens.

The fundamental structure of all domains with "prison" in their names are similar, all forbidding Alien God Spirits from easily stepping foot inside.

Only within Thunder Prison, where tribes that worshiped Outer Realm God Spirits had built Divine Temples and forged Altars of Praying to God, could they communicate with outside God Spirits when Thunder Prison was open.

But the communication was limited.

A God Spirit’s true body, appearing directly within Thunder Prison, had no precedent in history.

"Your Excellency!"

The hot-tempered Vermilion Bird Divine Bird, while spewing divine sounds, transformed into a tall and elegant young girl.

Her features were picturesque, with a mane of red hair that fluttered like a wild horse’s.

She was assertive and domineering, with a certain air of arrogance.

However.

As soon as she noticed the Thunder Pond and felt that vast, supreme aura of thunder, she swiftly reined in her arrogance.

"That Thunder Pond you control..."

The Vermilion Bird Divine Bird’s eyes, swirling with flames and thunder, asked excitedly, "Can it be, can it be the legacy of the Thunder God?"

With these words, the two Thunder Clan tenth level warriors, the unicorn and the giant serpent, all turned their attention to the Thunder Pond within the Silver-white Temple.

"Ancestral relic!"

The two Thunder Clan warriors, in unison, charged towards Pang Jian after shouting out loud.

"Crackling!"

The grey fog of the Mysterious Fog in the Misty Sea was instantly cleared by the lightning stirred by these two tenth level warriors.

They ignited their bloodline Alien Power, lighting a drop of essence blood, creating numerous silver-white lightning bolts filled with the essence of blood, attempting to resonate with that Thunder Pond.

Attempting, in this way, to seize the legacy of their ancestors!

Pang Jian tossed his hand.

"Boom!"

A massive "Five Thunders Bombardment" suddenly exploded, the violent spheres of thunder of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth hurtling towards the female Thunder Clan warrior amid pillars of light.

"The Divine Artifact of the Lei Meng Beast God, Five Thunders Bombardment!"

The female Thunder Clan powerhouse, who was casually producing thunder vortexes, saw another legendary Divine Artifact coming at her, her eyes nearly popping out.

The power of the five divine thunders exploded, one by one extinguishing the thunder vortexes she had created.

As millions of lightning bolts shot through the skies, the female Thunder Clan supreme being was forced to retreat.

On the other side.

"Soul Sever!"

Pang Jian, standing above the Thunder Pond, unleashed the Divine Artifact "Ghost Firefly," invoking its true power.

A green ghostly light was drawn out by a sharp blade.

Within the ghostly light, Pang Jian’s Divine Consciousness extended, crafting a sequence of soul-targeting killing moves with the Soul Secret Techniques mastered by Youkui.

As the ghostly light approached, the male Thunder Clan warrior’s soul shivered, suddenly feeling as if his spirit was about to be torn apart, shattered into pieces.

"Soul-based Divine Skills? Ridiculous!"

The man scoffed, and infinite lightning burst forth within his soul.

The Secret Skill created by the "Ghost Firefly," specifically targeting his soul, was promptly broken by him.

"Crackling! Crackling!"

He pulled and tugged, drawing the remaining lightning from within the Mysterious Fog, weaving it into a vast electrical net intended to cloak the void surrounding Pang Jian.

Pang Jian smiled soundlessly.

Utilizing Youkui’s Divine Skills and his Divine Artifact "Ghost Firefly" against a Thunder Clan warrior was clearly not very suitable.

Just like how Youkui felt uncomfortable and restrained when facing him previously.

"Swoosh! Swoosh swoosh! Swoosh swoosh!"

He once again commanded "Ghost Firefly," transforming this sharp-edged Divine Artifact into a Divine Sword in his hand.

The Star River of the Five Elements suddenly appeared, manifesting in front of, behind, above, and below the male Thunder Clan powerhouse.

The multitude of stars twinkled within, pulsating with the powers of Metal, Wood, Water, Fire, Earth, forming five separate Star Rivers of the Divine Realm and instantly establishing an encirclement.

This restriction completely limited the Thunder Clan warriors.

Their thunder and lightning, their spiritual souls, their bodies, were all suppressed at once.

Within the five Star Rivers, this level-ten supreme being born of the Thunder Prison struggled to make even the smallest step.

"The essence of Thunder Prison, the emergence of a level-ten powerhouse, is indeed a level higher than that of Dark Prison. However, when compared to our Purgatory, it still falls short by a lot," Pang Jian said calmly, leisurely observing the Vermilion Bird, the unicorn, and the water snake, before adding, "The number of Demon Gods is beyond my expectations."

All three Demon Gods had single or double Bloodlines; with the exception of the water snake, which had only Water.

In this respect, they resembled the Ice Armor Eel Dragon still in Panshi Fragment Land; the Ice Armor Eel Dragon housed all three Bloodlines of Ice, Water, Thunder within its body.

Both being "prison" worlds, Thunder Prison had more powerhouses than the Dark Prison but was still outmatched by the Purgatory.

Pang Jian inwardly took stock and discovered another matter.

The two Thunder Clan warriors, the three Demon Gods, their bodies were devoid of what was known as fate, nor was there any filthy essence within them.

Yet, they still became supremely powerful level-ten beings.

From the memories of the Youkui, an exotic spirit that ascends to level-ten, whether of the Alien Tribes or the Demon Gods, would be termed as a Low-rank God in the Outer Realm.

A Middle-level God, on the other hand, is one whose Spiritual Soul has undergone a qualitative transformation, forming a God Status.

In Purgatory, a Human True God, an Alien Tribe supreme, a Demon God, must all rely on a measure of fate or filthy essence to complete their final metamorphosis.

In Thunder Prison, nothing of the sort exists, and its supreme beings don’t need these to break through.

"Purgatory? You hail from Purgatory?"

The unicorn, yet to take human form, its crystalline horn radiating a pure and holy light, said, "I’ve heard that in this era, Purgatory is the strongest of all the ’prison’ worlds."

"What clan do you belong to in Purgatory?"

Curiosity shone in the unicorn’s eyes.

The water snake, the Vermilion Bird, including the two Thunder Clan warriors who had been thwarted and trapped, all calmed down upon these words and looked thoughtfully at Pang Jian.

Pang Jian said, "Human Race."

"Human Race?"

"Human Race!"

In Thunder Prison, the five paramount level-ten beings were all startled by this response.

They had sensed something unusual about the Mysterious Fog and the thunder force, coming quietly to inspect, and upon confirming the arrival of an unidentified visitor, had thought it to be an invasion by an Alien God Spirit.

In Thunder Prison, there was a known saying.

It was said that every hundred thousand years, when the great calamity came, Alien God Spirits had an extremely small chance of arriving in their true forms.

Legends suggested that these outsiders could destroy Thunder Prison.

Convinced by various means, they believed that the hundred-thousand-year calamity was unfolding at this very moment.

In recent years, they had been on high alert, afraid that Alien God Spirits might appear and destroy the foundation of Thunder Prison.

Thus, upon Pang Jian’s arrival, and their conviction that he was a foreigner, they were extremely tense.

When they heard that Pang Jian, like them, also came from a ’prison’ world, and from Purgatory—the strongest in the mist at present—and moreover, he was a Human Race of legend,

Their hostility diminished considerably.

"What? You are also well-aware of Purgatory, of the Human Race?" Pang Jian asked with surprise.

"How did you come by the ancestral artifact?" a male Thunder Clan warrior demanded in a deep voice.

"It’s from a place within Purgatory, enshrouded in Mysterious Fog, known as the Absolute Sky Forbidden Land. It contains relics of Thunder God, and there’s another area called Forbidden Land of Thunder God, which includes some members of the Thunder Clan," Pang Jian answered truthfully.

"Thunder Clan? Are there still any survivors?" a female Thunder Clan warrior asked anxiously.

Pang Jian shook his head and said, "No more."

Seeing the paramount beings of Thunder Prison no longer on high alert, he decided to open up, sharing news of the Thunder Clan warriors, as well as the warriors of the Ice Tribe and the Flame Clan, who were guarding the different Forbidden Lands.

"That segment of Divine Realm, probably, was intentionally submerged into the Mysterious Fog by our ancestors from some Star River beyond the heavens."

"Only within the Mysterious Fog could the Divine Artifacts left by Him, the fragments of His Divine Court from those years, be preserved."

The male Thunder Clan warrior spoke puzzledly, "What I find strange is, the Forbidden Land of Thunder God cast into the Mysterious Fog by our ancestors should have returned to our Thunder Prison, shouldn’t it?"

"Why then, did it emerge within Purgatory?"

"The Thunder Pond, the remnants of the Divine Court, and the Forbidden Land of Thunder God were surely meant to be passed down to our descendants!"

He couldn’t fathom it.

The Vermilion Bird Divine Bird, after listening for awhile, finally spoke, "This guest’s arrival, it seems, is not meant to destroy Thunder Prison, nor to exterminate its beings."

"Indeed, I chose Thunder Prison as a place to avoid disaster," Pang Jian said.

"Avoid disaster?" the Vermilion Bird inquired, surprised.

"Many Alien God Spirits are stationed above the Mysterious Fog in the Star River, scheming to lead our Human Race to extinction," said Pang Jian calmly, "Even now, there are quite a few in the Star Space above the Mysterious Fog."

"I’ve done some things that enraged those extraterrestrial God Spirits, prompting their descent into the Mysterious Fog to kill me."

"I felt it was too perilous to return directly to Purgatory, so I thought of hiding away from Purgatory for a while, and the Thunder Pond just happened to guide me here to Thunder Prison."

"That’s all there is to it."

After this explanation, the five paramount beings of Thunder Prison fell into silence, their expressions a mix of shock and astonishment.

"Are you one of the God Spirits who left Purgatory in the past?" the unicorn asked.

Pang Jian shook his head, "I’ve been a Human True God for only a short while."

The unicorn showed respect, saying, "If you don’t mind, you’re welcome to visit the inner realms of Thunder Prison. I would be honored to show you around Thunder Prison’s scenery."
