The Purgatory Calamity
Chapter 604 - 572: Tacit Understanding_1

Chapter 604: Chapter 572: Tacit Understanding_1

The "prison" character world’s fate was a kind of mysterious material that could condense the soul into substance.

This material was unique to the "prison" character world.

After transcending Purgatory, the True Gods of the Human Race shone brilliantly in the Outer Domain Galaxy; at their peak, they could destroy the Hall of Gods, which was enough to prove their terror.

The gods of the Outer Realms feared the gods of the Human Race and repeatedly pondered the reasons behind their great strength, eventually becoming convinced that it had to do with this mysterious material called "fate."

Therefore, They began to deeply understand this mysterious material.

Zimo, High Gods like Hemo Tian, and the Original Demon as well as Luo Hongyan, all manifested in different ways in the Purgatory World, in fact, all aiming to obtain this mysterious material.

The Original Demon chose Pu Zhaotian, planning to possess him at the moment when Pu Zhaotian ascended to True Godhood.

As for the Great Demon God Hemo Tian, he first subtly influenced Xiang Shengwei and eventually implemented possession at the moment of maturation, also intending to greet a divine aura of fate in the form of a demon.

The Supreme God of the Ghost Clan, Zimo, simply cast a "soul seed" directly, also wishing to achieve Divine Enthronement in the form of a human.

But in the end, only that Sovereign, through a covert approach via a Human Race woman, harnessed fate with the God of Death Road in the Purgatory World and successfully forged a God of Death Road.

And this seemed to be a foothold for that Sovereign seeking a new breakthrough for themselves.

There are many "prison" character worlds in the Mysterious Fog, but few that can nurture godhood and fate; Purgatory is currently the strongest in this "prison" character era of the world.

The fate nurtured by Purgatory created True Gods of the Human Race that dazzled the entire starry sky.

The mighty Alien God Spirits of the heavens coveted the material known as "fate"; They wished not only to exterminate the Human Race but to also harvest this "fate."

"If we consider Purgatory as a living being, fate is its lifeblood. It is the essence of a ’prison’ character world and exists only within the Mysterious Fog."

"That’s all I understand. But I know, all High Gods, Sovereigns, are coveting this material."

"Han Yi and I are not ranked high among the gods and are not qualified to covet this material."

Ying Yue carefully explained.

With a look of envy in their eyes, He and Han Yi gazed upon Pang Jian’s towering and magnificent Seven-Colored Divine Body.

He could feel that Pang Jian’s strange Divine Body contained endless mysteries and had tremendous potential to be tapped, which instilled a reverence for the True Gods of the Human Race in His heart.

"Pang Jian, if you don’t mind, we would like to spread our God Tao in the Dark Prison."

Ying Yue cleared her throat lightly, slightly sheepishly, "The Dark Spirit Clan, the Shadow Clan, and also the Earth Spirit Clan, Mountain Goblin Clan’s clansmen, if they are willing to worship us, with our guidance and in the absence of the Star Devourer threat, there is hope for the birth of new god spirits in the future."

Before Pang Jian could speak, Han Yi glanced at Him reproachfully.

In the Mysterious Fog, two goddesses controlled their Divine Platforms with their True Bodies, hurtling closer and closer to the Star Devourer.

Ying Yue smiled and said to Han Yi, "The tribes of the Dark Prison are different from the Human Race. It’s not appropriate for them to worship Pang Jian."

"But there would be no problem if they worshipped us both."

Seeing a look of resentment in Han Yi’s eyes, Ying Yue quickly added, "I know you think we are taking advantage. How about this? Once we deal with the Star Devourer, we can share a portion of our gains with him. What do you think?"

Han Yi nodded slightly, gritting her teeth, "Yang Luo hurt him so badly..."

"Against Yang Luo, we’ll need to join forces to stand a chance. Considering the Sovereign backs Her, let’s try not to offend Her," urged Ying Yue in a soft tone, "Our avatars in the Dark Prison can pay attention to the movements of those god spirits. When They stop pursuing Pang Jian, let him know, and he can go back."

"That’s all we can do," Han Yi nodded.

Ying Yue fell silent for a moment then added, "Why bother? The small imprint you left on him was coldly and ruthlessly erased by him; do you need to be so considerate of him all the time?"

"I want him to be well," Han Yi said softly.

Their conversation could not happen in front of Pang Jian, so it took place in their True Bodies within the Mysterious Fog.

...

Elsewhere.

Pang Jian thought carefully; when he charged towards the Star Devourer, and also when he pushed back the Star Devourer, a large amount of the Power of Faith converged.

The Power of Faith is very small individually, but when the beliefs of all beings come together, it can be quite considerable.

But once the Star Devourer left the Dark Prison, and the shadow that loomed over all beings in this world dissipated, those Power of Faith significantly weakened, and their help to him became negligible.

Because of this, he had specifically communicated with the Source Demon about it.

The Source Demon’s point of view was that to stably and continually obtain the Power of Faith from a world, one needed to invest over a long period, doing many things in the background.

Helping the beings of a world grow, setting up new rules for them, sorting out their Bloodline issues, rebuilding their world, and then constructing temples as per their own characteristics.

Moreover, one must maintain the safety of that world, providing strong protection and more.

In short, being able to harvest those abundant Powers of Faith during the attack on the Star Devourer was because he embodied the expectations and hopes of the beings of the Dark Prison.

This existed due to special reasons.

Once the Star Devourer left, and the beings of the Dark Prison solved the problem that had troubled them for hundreds of years, the bond of faith became weak, and he could no longer consistently obtain a large amount of the Power of Faith.

Unless he was truly willing to invest a lot of time and effort, treating the reconstruction after the Dark Prison ordeal as one of his own ventures.

That way, he would have a stable source of faith.

And that was obviously not likely.

After pondering for a moment, Pang Jian said, "Because you have explained the situation of the Purgatory World, godhood, and fate, I will not compete with you for the believer of this world."

"Good. In exchange, when the god spirits of the Mysterious Fog no longer pursue you, we will let you know."

Ying Yue smiled contentedly.

She tugged Han Yi and flew off into the distance, preparing to find that Saintess of the Dark Spirit Clan named Cui Ling and devise a thorough plan.

After the deaths of the elders of the major clans and the fall of the level nine warriors of this realm, it was a time for reconstruction.

With the two God Spirits spearheading the effort to propagate their God Tao, convincing these weak souls of the Dark Prison should be an easy task to take this realm for themselves.

He rarely smiled, but he did so at Pang Jian because the "Prison" world held special significance.

Both he and Han Yi owned Star Domains and controlled some celestial territories, where it was relatively easy to develop followers in the outer Star River.

But within the "Prison" world shrouded in the Mysterious Fog, it was difficult for them to interact with the living beings and cultivate them into followers.

He had taken over the moon, inheriting the God Tao left by the former Moon Spirit, but had only gathered a few followers from the Star Moon Sect in Purgatory.

The followers of the Star Moon Sect had virtually no influence in the Purgatory World and were few in number, offering him minimal assistance.

The Dark Prison was different.

Currently, no God Spirit had laid claim to it, and the souls here held great potential. After the Star Devourers left, they lacked nothing but time to redevelop.

What they truly lacked were Alien God Spirits like the two of them.

As long as Pang Jian didn’t interfere, they could develop the Dark Prison into their own private world.

In several decades or centuries, they would be able to harvest a stable and enduring Power of Faith.

...

"Godhood, Fate."

The True Body of Pang Jian sat atop the shoulders of his Immortal Primordial Spirit.

Ying Yue’s explanation gradually enlightened him as to why True Gods like Li Chu, Mu Wentao, Fan Ao, and Tian Du San Ren chose to fight with their True Bodies when venturing out.

It turned out that once a materialized Spiritual Soul was seriously injured, it was extremely difficult to recover.

With a corporeal Spiritual Soul, as long as it remained in the Spirit Sea of Consciousness of the True Body, it could display its power through the True Body and unleash the supreme might belonging to the Spiritual Soul.

The True Body was also armor and shield for the Spiritual Soul, protecting it from grave harm.

Even the True Gods, when they manifested the "Divine Dharma Aspect," were amalgams of Spiritual Soul and flesh, not the Spiritual Soul itself.

This way, the security of the Spiritual Soul against mortal wounds could be ensured to the greatest extent.

"I have only refined the Immortal Primordial Spirit for a short time and still lack a deep understanding," he remarked silently to himself.

After that, he chose to stay temporarily in the Dark Prison, daily pondering the mysteries of the Divine Tao he had refined within the Primordial Spirit Body and comprehending the waymarks of the Thunder Pond.

The flesh of his Divine Body, torn and lacerated, remained as it was, unable to heal and repair itself.

Otherwise, there were no significant consequences.

...

With Pang Jian’s permission, the two great goddesses were busy non-stop in the Dark Prison, each occupying three of the remaining six intact continents.

Ruined cities were rebuilt, and shattered temples of gods were reconstructed according to their specifications.

The statues of gods within the temples, the altars, and the relief engravings on stone pillars began to correspond to their true Divine Bodies.

The Alien Tribes’ powerhouses who switched faiths also received new Secret Skills to refine their Bloodlines, along with corresponding Strange Treasures delivered through the Altar of Praying to God.

Meanwhile, their bodies as Alien God Spirits, after a period of pursuit, finally trapped the Star Devourer successfully.

...

Amidst the Mysterious Fog.

Ying Yue and Han Yi’s Divine Bodies carried an aura as vast as the sky and as profound and immense as the sea, with their Divine Platform stretching out endlessly beneath their feet.

When they encountered the Star Devourer once again, Han Yi threw the "Extreme Cold Ghost Mountain" at the Star Devourer without a word.

The "Ghost Mountain" crashed down, crystal clear, with thousands upon thousands of ice-cold laws engraved within all shining brilliantly!

Nine towering Ice Rivers flowed like chains through time, wrapping around the enormous body of the Star Devourer, freezing segments of its limbs.

One by one, they were crushed to pieces.

The fragments and frozen limbs fell into the nine radiant colossal rivers, where Ying Yue effortlessly harvested the vast energies and collected the truths of the many mysterious secret threads within.

The sparkling rivers gradually teemed with countless slender threads of eerie electricity, all frozen by the cold.

These were the meridians of the Great Tao.

Every "eerie electric" strand corresponding to a Tao meridian, if refined into the bodies of similar God Spirits, could make up for certain deficiencies of the God Spirits, making them invaluable.

Above the head of the Star Devourer hung a "full moon," with Ying Yue within it.

Beams of moonlight fell, and the Star Devourer... became fragmented, its limbs severed from its body.

If Pang Jian were here, he would realize how effortlessly and comfortably these two Alien God Spirits managed to confront the Star Devourer using their True Bodies.
