The Purgatory Calamity
Chapter 345 - 325: Pang Jian Slaughters the Gods!_1

Chapter 345: Chapter 325: Pang Jian Slaughters the Gods!_1

Forbidden Land of the Thunder God, a sight of utter devastation.

In the charred center of the land, numerous deep and vast craters pocked the landscape, like giant dry wells boring straight into the earth.

Within these pits, warriors from the Alien Tribes stalked about, their bodies puppeteered by gods from the Outer Realm.

That crumbled and shattered city, nestled among the many craters, and the Thunder Clan members with wings of silver on their backs, were nearly exterminated.

The Divine Court Fragments that contained Tao Marks were close to being stripped clean by the intruding alien tribes.

Yet those foreign gods, who rested their Divine Consciousness in statues and clung to the broken altars, still refused to relent.

"Find it! The Thunder God Tao Mark, it has not yet appeared in the fragments of the Divine Court."

"The Thunder Divine Court formed by Him must bear the imprint of the Thunder Tao that He comprehended! The Thunder God, as the first Thunder God of all heavens and worlds, left behind the most precious Tao Marks!"

"This object, it must still be in the Forbidden Land of the Thunder God!"

The bellowing of the Alien Tribes’ leader, the distant and profound divine voice of the Outer Realm’s gods, echoed through the various deep craters.

The warships’ artillery fire and the divine might of the god spirits erupted in those deep craters, seeping toward the depths of the earth, determined to excavate the hidden key.

"What wrong have we done?"

A beautiful young girl of the Thunder Clan, limp in a pool of her parents’ blood and encircled by six floating balls of lightning, was desperately fending off the attacks of the Mountain Ghost Tribe warriors.

She looked up at the sky, at a fluttering flag, her eyes filled with icy hatred: "Ever since we had memories, we’ve been here, guarding the shattered Divine Court, constantly suffering invasions from the outside."

"Before we arrived here, we had clan members of the eighth level."

She said sadly, "Unfortunately, they died in battle."

"Decades ago, we had seventh-level clan members, who also died defending the Divine Court."

"And now, our strongest clan members are only at the sixth level. We’ve become so frail; must we also be exterminated?"

She looked toward the nearby collapsed city, knowing that all the strange stones bearing the Thunder and Lightning Tao Marks had been completely looted.

No longer could she, as in her childhood, hop and skip through the broken city, where she could see shining stones with dazzling lightning writhing within at any moment.

Inside the burnt and broken city, only the bones of her uncles and parents, her brother, remained.

"The Thunder God has committed grave sins, and like you, He also hailed from the Thunder Clan of Thunder Prison."

The cold voice of the Observer, came from the fluttering flag: "Because of His existence, the Thunder Clan once reigned supreme in Thunder Prison and across many worlds, drawing the wrath of both heaven and men."

"Cause and effect, retribution is inescapable."

"The blame falls on you for being a member of the Thunder Clan, and on the Thunder God for having perished, drawing the karmic retribution meant for your clan."

Events like this, the Observer had witnessed countless times throughout its long, eternal life.

It had long grown numb to them.

The fall of old gods and the rise of new ones, the transitions between deities, always involved far-reaching consequences.

Their clans, the beings that worshipped them, all were affected, an unavoidable fate.

"How many tens of thousands of years? Can’t hatred be erased by time?"

The girl cried out miserably.

"No."

The Observer spoke indifferently, "Gods have long lifespans, with many of them being immortal. Besides, they have excellent memories. Girl, let me tell you something so you can die understanding."

"A being born in Thunder Prison has been searching the heavens for the Forbidden Land of the Thunder God, to collect fragments of the Thunder Divine Court."

"This has been going on for tens of thousands of years."

"It is because of His refusal to give up, His insistence, that so many tribes risk getting lost, and the unpredictable changes in the rules, to flood into the Forbidden Land of the Thunder God wave upon wave."

"And He has already replaced the Thunder God, becoming the new Sovereign of Thunder Prison."

"You are unaware of His existence because you failed to escape the Mysterious Fog and return to Thunder Prison, but He has left a significant mark in the history of your Thunder Clan."

"His name is Lei Meng."

The Observer provided the truth idly.

"Lei Meng? The Lei Meng Beast? The one that accompanied our Ancestral God since His youth?!"

"How could it be it?!"

Not just the Thunder Clan girl, but also several mortally wounded yet still clinging to life Thunder Clan members couldn’t help but let out a howl of inquiry, obviously unable to accept it.

In the widely spread legends of the Thunder Clan that sang praises of their Ancestral God, Thunder God, in the paintings alongside statues worshipped in His honor, in the designs on the pillars...

There was the presence of a simple and brutish Monster.

It appeared agile and adorable, said to be a Monster that had accompanied the Thunder God since His youth, named Lei Meng.

For countless years, it had fought alongside the Thunder God through the heavens, witnessed Him become the first Thunder God, and helped Him construct the Thunder Divine Court.

And now, it had become the new god that reigned over Thunder Prison!

It offered a substantial reward, urging the Alien Tribes of all the heavens to search in the depths of the most mysterious Mysterious Fog for the lost Forbidden Land of the Thunder God.

"We’ve found it!"

From an inconspicuous crater, a ground-shaking roar thundered forth.

The deep crater, as if being slowly torn open by a force, the fractures at the bottom quickly spreading.

Deep within the pit, an object hoisted by Divine Power hovered and was gradually revealed.

—It was a silver-white pool.

The pool, with walls riddled with cracks, was marked with twisting Thunder Tao imprints and had long lost the ability to gather Thunderous Lightning.

An ashen-brown iron tree without leaves, its roots intertwined with the Tao marks at the bottom, stood forlornly.

The pool showed no signs of divinity, and the iron tree emitted no brilliance; both appeared quite ordinary.

However, the mere exposure of the pool and the emergence of the ashen tree immediately sparked warfare among the previously calm Alien Tribes and god puppets, who had been separately hunting the Thunder Clan and gathering fragments of the Thunder Divine Court.

A long-stalled war was reignited!

Sometime later.

"Forbidden Land of the Thunder God!"

"We of the Ice Tribe, for the first time, enter the heavens and earth of another clan!"

"Ice Tribe, today shall mark the continuation of our path to greatness!"

Riding on spiritual birds, Ice Tribe warriors crossed the barrier intertwined with lightning and stepped onto the war-torn Forbidden Land of Thunder God.

"Hiss!"

After Pang Jian entered, he chose a weaker spatial thunder and lightning and sacrificed his Firm Cover to merge into it.

He operated the "Pot Heaven Nourishing Qi Spell," drawing power from the thunder and lightning suspended above Fragment Land, and filled the tiny Thunder Vortex within his Spiritual Sea.

"Moon Energy, Thunderous Lightning, still lacking Star Power, Sun God Glare, Life Vitality..."

Pang Jian muttered to himself.

Glancing down at the chaotic and tragic battlefield of the Alien Tribes, he nodded to Ice Plain and Ice Surplus, the two Level Seven Elders of his tribe, and ordered, "Slay without mercy."

"Kill!"

The battle cries of the Ice Tribe warriors caused the complexion of all sides in the melee to change, looking in horror at the new arrivals sweeping in mightily.

"Mountain Ghost, once you invaded our The Frozen Land!"

"Earth Spirit Clan, you too have caused trouble in our The Frozen Land!"

"And the Black Horn Tribe!"

This wave of formidable Ice Tribe warriors, riding spiritual birds, launched indiscriminate attacks. Spikes of ice, ice spears, and cold blades burst forth continuously from their weapons.

Mostly Level Six warriors, along with the two Level Seven Elders of the Ice Tribe powerhouses, they slaughtered the Alien Tribes below who were crying to heaven and earth for mercy.

"Level Seven!"

The Observer exclaimed, losing his composure.

Numerous different murmurs of consciousness arose due to His distress of mind, covering the firmament.

"In that forsaken The Frozen Land, the Heavenly Tao is fragmented beyond repair, there shouldn’t be any Level Seven powerhouses emerging!"

"The Frozen Land exists under eternal seal, the Ice Tribe shouldn’t be able to come out!"

"True, otherwise the Goddess of Cold Crystal would have found them long ago!"

"There are things we do not understand, things that should not be happening, occurring in the Ice Tribe and The Frozen Land!"

"..."

The Observer, in a panic, tried to flee.

Ice Plain, the Second Elder holding the Frost Wand, first protected his Sea of Souls with the Frosty Divine Light that shone from the wand, then coldly pointed the wand at The Observer, "You shall not escape either!"

"Crack! Crack crack! Crack crack!"

Solid ice walls suddenly appeared, surrounding the flagpole on all sides, forming a tight ice crystal prison.

"Pang Jian, an Alien God from the Outer Realm is contaminating me with Divine Consciousness!"

Zhou Qingchen, clutching his head, screamed in fright.

Zhao Yuanqi was equally horrified and dumbfounded as she looked towards a massive bull-headed human-bodied statue. When she saw the evil light released from the statue’s bull-eyes, she felt dizzy and disoriented.

"It’s alright."

Pang Jian, who had made plans before arriving, flew out from the Thunderous Lightning and released his golden Divine Sense.

Dozens of Divine Sense strands, divided into two parts, entered the Sea of Consciousness of Zhou Qingchen and Zhao Yuanqi, calling for the Bee Insects with the Divine Sense as a beacon.

"Buzz buzz!"

The sound of the Ming Prison Soul Bee’s wings flapping suddenly echoed in Zhou Qingchen and Zhao Yuanqi’s Sea of Consciousness, and the bull-headed human-bodied Alien God from the Outer Realm immediately let out a fearful screech.

"Ming Prison Soul Bee!"

"Damn it! How could there be Ming Prison Soul Bees?"

The bull-headed Alien God statue, with the evil light in its bull eyes slowly fading away.

This Alien God from the Outer Realm, who had been directly pouring Divine Consciousness into the statue, saw the situation turn dire and hastily retracted his Divine Consciousness to escape.

However, much of His Divine Consciousness was intercepted and destroyed by the Ming Prison Soul Bees within the Sea of Consciousness of Zhao Yuanqi and Zhou Qingchen.

"Swoosh! Swoosh swoosh!"

More Divine Sense flew out from Pang Jian’s Sea of Consciousness, heading for those stone statues, wooden carvings, and the altars worshiped by the Alien Tribes.

"There are Ming Prison Soul Bees!"

"Be careful of the Ming Prison Soul Bees, everyone!"

"The evil Alien God leader from the Netherworld Prison might also have set His sights on this land, flee quickly!"

The panicked voices of numerous Alien Gods arose from statue to statue, and those previously arrogant Alien Gods vanished one by one.

In mid-air.

Pang Jian commanded three thousand Divine Senses, employing the Ming Prison Soul Bees, frantically hunting down Alien Gods from the Outer Realm who dared to plant their Divine Consciousness in puppet bodies.

His weakest Sea of Consciousness, fortified by three thousand golden Divine Senses, had ironically become his strongest weapon!

Godslaying, for him, became effortless.

"Hiss!"

Golden heavenly blades, hundreds of feet tall, slashed through thunderous dark lightning and slaughtered a godly figure ablaze with blue ghost flames.

As clusters of smoke and cloud dissipated, only a few sparse ghost flames lingered within the iron cast body of the statue.

Each cluster of ghost flame represented the remnants of divinity left by the gods worshiped by the Mountain Ghost Tribe.

"Whew!"

A sea of golden fire, condensed by Pang Jian’s Divine Sense, burned on the puppet body of another low-ranking Alien God. This God had gathered His Divine Consciousness into a seductively blooming black Demon Flower.

This flower hissed in the golden fire sea, its Alien God consciousness gradually eroded by the fire, yet the Demon Flower itself remained.

Similar scenes played out on the puppet bodies of different Alien Gods from the Outer Realm.

Pang Jian, who came from Purgatory, became a God Slayer in the Forbidden Land of the Thunder God.

He refined his Divine Sense with the properties of the Ming Prison Soul Bees, crafting it into a lethal weapon of slaughter, overpowering Alien Gods who could not descend in their true forms.
