The Purgatory Calamity
Chapter 333 - 313 Abandoned_1

Chapter 333: Chapter 313 Abandoned_1

They all stood up.

In the faint cold fog, seven elders of the Ice Tribe were rubbing their hands and gathered around Pang Jian.

Some held magic staves, some wore ice crystal crowns on their heads, and some exuded a holy and majestic aura from their pristine magical robes.

The Ice Tribe elders, both male and female, seemed more excited than the next, as if they were all at a loss for words.

The eldest among them, holding a translucent scepter, struggled for a while before his voice trembled, "Honored guest, have you... ever truly felt the Ice Demon?"

Upon these words, the other six elders all looked on with eager anticipation.

In the plaza, by the windows, on the stands.

All members of the Ice Tribe, as if holding their breath, quietly awaited Pang Jian’s response.

The entire Ice Castle seemed to be under a "Mute Spell."

Pang Jian was taken aback, carefully choosing his words, and frowned as he asked, "In the Frozen Land, at this complete altar that can communicate with the Ice Demon, have you never communicated with the Ice Demon?"

At this, all seven patriarchs showed a bitter expression.

Some sighed audibly, slumping down weakly as if old wounds had been reopened.

"We have been abandoned."

The elder who had asked the question had eyes full of dreary loss, and he sadly said, "Ever since I’ve had memories, I’ve known we’ve been abandoned."

"Although we possess the Heart of Winter left by the Ice Demon and have a complete Altar of Praying to God, it seems we have everything needed to communicate with Him."

"But, we just can’t feel Him, can’t listen to His teachings."

Looking up into the vast sky, as if recalling the past, he murmured, "As far as I know, before the Frozen Land was engulfed by the Mysterious Fog, our ancestors were able to communicate with Him."

"The Mysterious Fog has separated us from Him, we have all been abandoned."

All members of the Ice Tribe stared desperately at the sky, deep in sighs.

"Who brought the Frozen Land into the Mysterious Fog?"

Pang Jian wondered.

"It seems to be He Himself..."

The Ice Tribe elder bowed his head as if feeling extremely disrespectful to the Ice Demon by uttering this statement, "Perhaps He has forgotten, forgotten to move the Frozen Land out of the Mysterious Fog again."

As the conversation reached this point, he suddenly became excited, "Guest, where are you from? Can you still communicate with Him in your world?"

"Can you relay a message to Him for us, tell Him we are still waiting in the Frozen Land for His favor once again?"

"Why must you communicate with Him?" Pang Jian hesitated, puzzled, "Can’t you leave, can’t you pass through the Mysterious Fog and return to your original world?"

Void restrictions can constrain outsiders, allowing only entry without exit.

Could it be that the same effect applies to the native Ice Tribe?

Pang Jian grew skeptical.

"Yes, we can’t leave, we can never leave! This place has sealed off everything, including us Ice Tribe."

The Ice Tribe elder cried out in a hoarse lament, sobbing loudly as if on the verge of collapse, "We are born here, we die here, we never can leave! Even our bloodline limits are confined to the sixth level, never to break through again."

"This is a flawed, not wholly complete world, we’ve always known this."

"Who doesn’t want to venture outside to enhance their knowledge? Who doesn’t want to break the shackles of their bloodline, to escape from the limit of the sixth level?"

The other elders began to join in the conversation.

"Distant guest, you should know that outside the Mysterious Fog, many tribes are able to elevate their bloodlines to the ninth or even the tenth level, right?"

"The invaders of our Frozen Land also have a bloodline limit of six, but it is the Mysterious Fog that confines them! They must be at the fifth level when they enter, they still have the potential to continue breaking through."

"But we do not."

"It was their arrival that made us aware of a broader world outside."

"We long to go out!"

"..."

Several elders looked up eagerly at the sky.

Their gaze was much like that of alien tribes living in the fifth realm of eternal darkness in Purgatory, yearning to ascend to the Upper Realm.

Pang Jian listened, stunned.

He hadn’t imagined that the powerful Ice Tribe would be limited by the world they were in, with their bloodline forever incapable of exceeding the sixth level, forever unable to leave.

After pondering for a moment, he decided to try revealing the truth to see their reaction.

"My world is called Purgatory, where once a Cyclops communicated with the Ice Demon through a complete altar."

"And I, at a fragmented altar, seemed to be gazed upon by the Ice Demon. That chilling sensation reaching straight to the soul must be His gaze, though I cannot be sure."

As he spoke, Pang Jian tried closing his eyes.

Indeed, as the Ice Tribe had said, he didn’t have the terrifying feeling of falling into another world like when he had sat at the fragmented altar in the Land of Prayer Spirit.

A barrier prevented exit from the Frozen Land, blocking communication with the Ice Demon.

"Can’t leave..."

Upon this realization, Pang Jian turned pale.

The Ice Tribe couldn’t leave, but what about him?

Before even getting a chance to fathom the wonders of the "Heart of Winter," Pang Jian abruptly stood up and hurriedly said, "Let me try to see if I can leave!"

Activating the innate abilities of the Mysterious Turtle shell, he shot towards the sky.

"Purgatory, Cyclops..."

The Ice Tribe elders, startled by his words, were still pondering the information he revealed, watching him suddenly soar into the sky. None of the Ice Tribe elders tried to stop him.

They were all convinced that Pang Jian would not be able to leave the Frozen Land and would soon come down again.

Then...

Pang Jian, who could distinctly feel the barrier, felt a slight warmth from the "Purgatory Gate" medal in his chest, enabling him to easily cross the barrier and leave the Frozen Land.

To the incredulous gazes of the Ice Tribe elders, he disappeared from their world.

"He, he made it out!"

"For a million years, he is the first person to make it out!"

"Is he the apostle sent by the Ice Demon to help us escape the sea of suffering?"

All the Ice Tribe people who looked up at the sky and saw Pang Jian disappear from The Frozen Land began to pray devoutly again.

Many were choked with tears.

High above.

Pang Jian looked down and still saw glaciers and snow peaks. He could not see the Ice Castle at the summit of the Sacred Mountain, let alone those Ice Tribe people.

From outside of their world, the scenes he witnessed were vastly different from within.

At this moment, the Bee King suddenly said, "Once we leave The Frozen Land, we can teleport with the Bee Insect."

After a pause, the Bee King continued, "Now, do you still plan to go back?"

Pang Jian, who already knew the general situation of The Frozen Land and that the "Heart of Winter" harbored rich Divine Consciousness, hesitated and asked, "Can we steal the Divine Consciousness from inside without the Ice Tribe detecting us at all?"

"It’s difficult."

The Bee Insect answered first and then added after some thought, "Without your Divine Sense infiltrating it or the Bee Soul entering, I don’t know what it’s like inside either."

"I feel that there are dangers inside that we don’t understand; we need to be cautious."

As they spoke, six new Bee Insects hatched from their cocoons.

These six Bee Cocoons, born from devouring the silver Divine Sense of Li Yuanchen, had grown only after such a long period of slumber.

There were another sixteen Bee Cocoons still in a deep sleep, some time away from hatching.

"How about we release the little ones to go inside and take a look at the situation?"

The Bee King sought an opinion.

"Okay, let’s release one first."

Pang Jian nodded.

"Swoosh!"

A Golden Bee Insect quietly descended into the area.

Pang Jian and the Bee King, sharing their senses, shockingly found themselves without the vision of the Golden Bee Insect; they couldn’t see the situation within The Frozen Land.

Inside, he could sense the Bee Insects.

Outside, he could not; the connection was unexpectedly broken.

A few dozen seconds later.

The Bee King said coldly, "I feel it’s dead."

"Killed by the Ice Tribe?"

"It seems so."

The Bee King’s tone was chilly, and with the death of one Bee Insect, it immediately harbored hatred for the Ice Tribe in its heart.

"No matter, I can breed many more, as long as I have enough Divine Consciousness."

It had made the "Heart of Winter" its must-have target, no longer considering the Ice Tribe, and was already pondering how to achieve its goal.

Pang Jian frowned, thought for a moment, and then said, "Let’s not go back in for now; let’s have a look at that land of surging thunder."

"Alright."

"Don’t be too sad about the death of that Bee Insect."

"Hmm, I will breed more Bee Insects. Death, rebirth; I will get used to it slowly."

After the exchange, Pang Jian decided to teleport instantly, appearing right beside a Bee Insect closest to the Fragment Land of Thunder.

Just as he was about to step forward, he suddenly changed his Magic Spell, refining the power from within his Thunder Vortex and infusing it into the Spiritual Power Strong Shield.

Only then did he flash into the area.

"Boom!"

Thick bolts of lightning hung from the sky like a waterfall, and the land was scorched black.

Pang Jian focused his gaze and saw numerous oddly-shaped warships exchanging crystal-clear cannon fire halfway up in the air, while a White Crane screeched as it wandered within the thunder.

Another huge dark yellow banner, full of holes, was fluttering high in the sky, and the Observer was scrutinizing this piece of the world.

Above the scorched earth.

Many stone statues, wood carvings, and oddities forged from metal and iron, seeming like vessels of Alien Gods, roamed between heaven and earth.

These things, constructed in the likeness of Alien Gods, were still fighting each other.

There were also Aliens with silver wings on their backs, who with mere gestures, manipulated waterfall-like thunder to attack the godly puppets, and other Aliens on the warships.

In the center of the land, there was a ruined city, a scene of broken walls and remnants.

Within the rocks used to build the city, many colorful lightning bolts twisted and turned, as if they were evolving the mysteries of the Great Tao of Thunder.

Those silver-winged Aliens were in the middle of the broken city and at its edges, fending off the puppets of the external Alien Gods, as if defending their homeland.

"Luo Yuan!"

The White Crane screamed, "How dare you come here, too? Get out now!"

The dark yellow banner, floating high in the sky, locked onto Pang Jian instantly through Those strange eyes peeking out from its holes, all because of the White Crane’s glance.

"Master of the Ming Prison Soul Bee!"

As soon as the Observer spoke, countless babbling voices arose at once.

Hundreds of green ants crawled out from its hole-like eyes, glanced at Pang Jian, and then shrank back in fear.

"The Bee King has appeared and completed its initial advancement."

The Observer was astonished.
