Chapter 493: 492 Xianxian—Where are you?! (Third Update)
Yelu Yan scooped up Li Xianyun’s slender waist, which hardly filled his grasp, and encircled it in his arms, forbidding her to move. He coaxed in a gentle voice, "Xianxian, be good, your husband misspoke. Don’t be angry, alright?"
It really was like cajoling a child.
"Then why did you just tell me not to make a fuss? How have I been anything but obedient?"
"Your husband... didn’t mean that. Your husband merely meant..." Yelu Yan, seeing Li Xianyun frowning at him, quickly changed his tune and said, "Alright, alright, it’s my fault, I shouldn’t have spoken those words, and I certainly shouldn’t have made my darling angry."
Li Xianyun’s face flushed at that moment; he often called her "my darling" during their intimate moments, rarely at other times. In those moments, no matter how cheesy the words or unbelievable the actions, she didn’t feel embarrassed, but now, with the two of them so pure and chaste, not doing anything at all, it sounded very unusual to her.
Noticing her reaction, Yelu Yan continued, unrestrained, calling her "my darling" repeatedly, as if he could not get enough of it.
Li Xianyun pushed away his arms, walking and dodging as she did.
Yelu Yan followed closely behind, and the two began to frolic.
"You’re so annoying... You’re the most annoying..."
But scolding him did no good; Yelu Yan kept grinning mischievously, clinging to her like a dog’s plaster that couldn’t be shaken off, and he didn’t forget to touch her here and there.
First, he would stroke her face, then hug her waist—he could be unbearable.
Li Xianyun, out of exasperation, bent down to grab a handful of snow from the ground and threw it at Yelu Yan’s chest.
Yelu Yan wasn’t upset; instead, he began to worry about her hands.
He took Li Xianyun’s little hand, brushed the snow sticking to it, wiped the moisture onto his own clothes, held her hand in his palm and said, "Don’t play with the snow, Xuexue. It’s not good if your hands get frozen."
He had forgotten to bring her warm sleeves when he left earlier, so he signaled to the maid, who was following at a distance, to go fetch them.
Li Xianyun stopped him, "Don’t bother; we’ll be having dinner soon. Let’s go back."
Yelu Yan "mm-hmmed" and lifted her up sideways, heading back.
Li Xianyun patted his chest, "Put me down, I can walk."
"You’ve been sitting in the carriage for a journey and walked for so long as well—don’t get tired."
"I’m not tired."
Yelu Yan smirked, whispering breathily against Li Xianyun’s ear, "You’ll be tired tonight, so you need to conserve your energy now."
Li Xianyun’s ears turned red instantaneously; she shot him a sideways glance, wrapped her arms around him, and gently placed her chin on his shoulder, her cheek resting against the side of his neck.
She couldn’t have been more docile.
Yelu Yan brought his head close to hers and nuzzled her, indescribably affectionate.
-
For several consecutive days, Li Xianyun didn’t know how she had made it through.
She seemed to be living in a Peach Blossom Spring, far from worldly troubles—full from eating, she would go out to play, and come back when she was tired.
Whether by day or night, Yelu Yan would pull at her unceasingly.
Sometimes it was in the sleeping quarters, sometimes in the hot springs, and she couldn’t even escape his attentions when she was reading in the study...
The methods became more and more varied, to the point of being unspeakable.
Li Xianyun felt there was less time for playing due to the frequent encounters.
Most of the time, it was him pressing down relentlessly, to the point where she could close her eyes and hear the continuous muffled groans of him against her.
That extreme pleasure was compelling, yet carried with it an excessive, senseless guilt.
She finally understood what it meant to live a life of dreamlike indulgence.
Today, the sun hung directly overhead, its light spreading warmth, a rare sunny day.
Yelu Yan took Li Xianyun to the natural hot spring by the imperial lodge, where due to the topography, there was a large expanse of natural hot springs at the foot of West Mountain.
When Khitan was first established, the ruling Khan immediately enclosed the area, building the West Mountain Hot Springs Palace by the mountain.
He had people specially investigate, and according to the shape, size, and temperature, eventually chose a smaller natural lake to enclose.
Buildings sprouted around it, slowly taking shape.
Initially, it was just a large house, but as time passed and dynasties changed, the area of the West Mountain Hot Springs expanded, buildings became more and more magnificent, and the amenities increasingly lavish.
The hot spring lake Yelu Yan brought Li Xianyun to was a natural amber gem enclosed within the palace, both secure and secluded.
Around the edge of this lake, many swing chairs, rocking chairs, and long tables had been installed, and the lake’s edge had been finely finished with smooth steps, accompanied by intricately carved statues and rugged rocks.
Inside the hot spring, steam rose in tendrils, the water warm, not cold at all.
Around the lake, tall and pristine velvet curtains acted as a wall, resembling a lofty rampart. Without Yelu Yan’s permission, no one dared step in even a foot.
Yelu Yan dismissed the maids and stripped off his clothes in a few swift motions, left wearing only his underpants.
Large mounds of muscle swelled outward across his body, bulging veins visible along his arms.
His firm, broad chest was covered in scars, ridged and overlapping, yet they didn’t mar his appearance but instead imbued him with strength and a raw, masculine energy.
Although Li Xianyun had seen him unclothed many times, her thin skin meant she still felt some embarrassment.
Watching her blush creep to her ears, Yelu Yan’s lips curved into a smile, "Why be shy, my wife? I want you to look."
He walked to the edge of the lake and descended the steps. When the water reached waist-deep, he stopped, turned back, and extended a hand to Li Xianyun.
"Come down."
Li Xianyun shed her outer garment, left in a close-fitting thin dress that tightly hugged her exquisite figure, with pronounced curves that were both striking and supple—showcasing her enticing charm.
Yelu Yan swallowed hard, throat bobbing. Thankfully, he was in the water, any reaction hidden beneath the surface, invisible to the eye.
Seeing Li Xianyun carefully grasp the handrail, Yelu Yan thought she was frightened and laughed, "Don’t be afraid, I am here, I won’t let you drown."
Li Xianyun pursed her lips; she wasn’t afraid of the water. The edge of the ground was slippery, and she feared falling.
She was afraid of pain.
Li Xianyun extended her hand to Yelu Yan.
Yelu Yan carefully helped her down, letting her stand in the shallower water.
"I’ll teach you how to swim."
Li Xianyun obediently murmured an "Mm."
Yelu Yan explained the essentials of swimming, "I’ll demonstrate for you."
With that, he began to swim. After only a few strokes, he paused and turned back to Li Xianyun, "Xianxian, did you understand..."
Did you understand?
Before he could finish, he abruptly stopped.
The area was empty, the steam rising, but the charming figure was gone.
A sense of panic clutched at Yelu Yan’s heart, with fear, worry, anxiety, and tension flooding him all at once.
Suddenly, everything around fell silent, his own head ringing from the shock.
Water droplets from Yelu Yan’s hair fell into his eyes.
He wiped them away forcefully, his eyes bloodshot, "Xianxian! Xianxian—where are you?!!"
Yelu Yan called out helplessly in the water, circling around in search, diving multiple times in an attempt to find her, but still, not a trace could be found.
His martial skills were advanced; if someone had approached, he wouldn’t have failed to hear.
