Chapter 59: Chapter 48: Indoor Fighting
Crow was hiding outside the window with three accomplices at that moment, and he immediately chose to break in through the window when he heard the noise.
As soon as he entered, he saw Li Yi standing at the entrance.
This brought a surge of joy to his heart.
As long as he had pinpointed Li Yi’s location and saw him in person, today’s mission would be considered half a success. He didn’t believe that a greenhorn who had practiced cultivation for only a month could survive under today’s circumstances.
Although killing someone in the Ruined District came with a hefty price.
But the value of a Mysterious Object was enough to induce people to take risks despite the cost.
In the dimly lit living room.
The gazes of several people were bright and conspicuous, and at this moment, all were fixed on Li Yi with a murderous intent gleaming in their eyes.
Naturally, not many Cultivators who would take on such murder jobs were good-natured.
"Crow? Good timing, last time I almost got killed by you and that woman in the Ruined District, and you didn’t even pay the agreed-upon money. Today is a good day to settle this account. If those who are unrelated aren’t afraid of dying, come forward. Whether I kill one or two, it makes no difference to me."
Li Yi’s gaze was icy, his fists stained with blood, the murderous intent in his heart was ignited, and at the same time, some invisible chains that bound him seemed to slip off.
A cornered beast would still fight, let alone a Martial Artist like him who practiced boxing.
"Li Yi, you know what I came here for. If you are willing to hand over the item, I might let you go," Crow’s voice was low, sensing a hint of danger as well.
"You all come to kill me and still talk such nonsense? Moreover, you have no credit left with me. Go negotiate with ghosts," Li Yi sneered and smiled. He lightly swayed his body and then suddenly tensed up, releasing his strength explosively.
The ground beneath his feet cracked instantly, and then he lunged forward like a Fierce Beast, with extreme speed. In the blink of an eye, he closed in on a Cultivator, making it impossible to fixate on him, not even giving a chance for an Eye witness.
"This explosive power... are you kidding me?" That person was instantaneously shocked, his pupils dilating sharply, only seeing the lingering image of a fist in his field of vision.
"Damn it, too late to defend."
"Bang!"
The Fist Power burst forth, and this punch landed on the chest of the Cultivator.
The breastbone shattered, and then the man gushed out blood with a cry as he shockingly realized that Li Yi’s fist had penetrated his chest cavity.
He wanted to fight back but found that his body had already lost sensation.
Not only was the breastbone shattered but the spine was broken as well.
The power of this punch was terrifying indeed.
"All together, hold nothing back," Crow realized the severity of the situation and immediately roared.
As his words fell, he immediately rushed toward Li Yi, his eyes twinkling, utilizing Eye witness.
The dim living room suddenly brightened.
"Crow, you think you are the only one who can use Eye witness?" Li Yi’s eyes also condensed, flickering light.
Eye witness against Eye witness.
They canceled each other out.
"Li Yi, you’re alone today, you can’t escape death here," Crow took advantage of the eye witness’s cover and closed in. He roared loudly and threw a heavy punch towards Li Yi’s head.
With a cultivator’s strength, a full-force heavy punch, even without any special techniques, was enough to knock someone unconscious.
In such a situation, unconsciousness equaled death.
Li Yi did not hold back; raising his other arm, he countered with an elbow strike.
Similarly, jin qi exploded and echoed loudly.
Crow felt a tremble in his arm followed by severe pain, making him howl involuntarily.
His arm shook so violently that it broke. His fist twisted out of shape and all five fingers shattered simultaneously. His arm was completely disabled on the spot. This momentary collision revealed the gap between them. Even though he had entered the Spirit Medium Realm much earlier than Li Yi, he was no match for him now.
"This isn’t just any boxing... This is a technique, it’s boxing," Crow’s forehead was covered in cold sweat; the immense force directly knocked him flying, and he instantly understood what had happened.
Ordinary punches couldn’t be this powerful; only techniques could bring out the full strength of a cultivator.
But when had Li Yi learned these boxing techniques? There had been no information on this before.
Suddenly, the other two cultivators took this opportunity to close in on Li Yi.
One of them, holding a dagger, aimed directly at Li Yi’s heart.
Li Yi tensed his body and mustered strength from his spine. His arm shook, flinging the severely wounded cultivator he had punched earlier flying, blocking the sharp dagger. Although his fist power was fierce, his body was not yet strong enough to withstand cold weapons.
But the other Spirit Medium Realm cultivator didn’t show restraint and attacked with a heavy leg kick, bringing martial arts skills to their limit.
Li Yi was caught off-guard and received a kick, causing him to stagger back until he finally crashed against the wall behind him and stopped.
However, the force of that attack was dispersed, not causing much damage.
Meanwhile,
the front door was opened. The two cultivators who had been previously in the corridor also charged in. Seeing the situation inside, they paused for a moment before seizing the opportunity to attempt using their eye witness on Li Yi. They didn’t hope to kill Li Yi but only to distract and suppress him.
After all, outside the door, they had personally witnessed just how fierce Li Yi was, so they didn’t dare to get too close, fearing a fatal punch.
"Your eye witness is too slow."
But Li Yi caught the flaw they exposed, and explosively, with a surge of jin qi, the plaster on the wall behind him shook off. His body seemed to be propelled by a force, landing directly in front of the two cultivators at the door.
As his feet touched the ground, power surged from the earth.
"Quickly dodge his punches," Crow yelled in desperation.
Dodge?
Too late, now it’s time to die.
Li Yi raised both arms, perfectly positioning his boxing stance, thrusting forward both fists. Two explosive sounds almost occurred simultaneously, making the ears of everyone else in the living room buzz, causing their hearts to involuntarily contract.
These two punches were even more powerful.
In just the blink of an eye.
These two cultivators didn’t even have a chance to use their eye witness and were instantly blown away—one crashed through the front door to the corridor outside, and the other was hurled into the kitchen, falling to the ground. Both bore deep fist marks on their bodies, these marks penetrated from front to back, shattering their internal organs.
However, the life force of the Spirit Medium Realm Cultivators was indeed tenacious; such severe injuries did not kill them instantly, but left them there helplessly wailing, their voices revealing desperation and fear.
Because they knew that unless they were immediately taken to a hospital, they wouldn’t survive for long.
They had just been sent flying.
Suddenly, another silhouette flashed in front of Li Yi.
The cultivator holding the dagger had a fierce expression, and under the burst of strength, the sharp dagger stabbed forward.
There was no escape.
Li Yi almost instinctively reached out to block.
The dagger pierced through his palm and even threatened to tear open his body along with it.
"Li Yi, is it? I don’t believe that if I rip open your stomach, you’ll still be so fierce," the cultivator roared, wanting to end this humanoid fierce beast with a single stroke.
He knew in his heart.
If they couldn’t take down Li Yi tonight, all of them would be killed here.
Li Yi felt the intense pain transmitting from his palm, his face twitched, but he forcefully endured the pain, retreating his body while alternatively grabbing the other end of the dagger with his injured hand.
The sharp tip of the blade had just entered his abdomen when it stopped, unable to advance further.
At that moment, the cultivator’s heart raced, a strong sense of danger overwhelming him.
This isn’t good.
Li Yi’s other fist was already raised and instantaneously landed on the forehead of the cultivator.
This time, the Fist Power was not controlled very well.
Because the counterattack was too quick and his body hadn’t acted on instinct, he didn’t have time to use strength, and the absence of a crisp explosion caused the force to scatter.
Even so, at that very moment, the cultivator heard the sound of his own skull cracking, his vision plunged into darkness as he instantly went blind, and blood rapidly spurted from his ears, mouth, and nostrils. Totally losing his balance, he heavily fell downwards.
But before he hit the ground, Li Yi delivered another knee strike.
Bang!
An explosion sounded, and the cultivator was kicked away without a sound, having likely already died before hitting the ground.
This ferocious battle made the last cultivator afraid; he hesitated, no longer daring to approach Li Yi, afraid of also being killed by a single punch.
Crow, at this moment with one arm broken, was bearing the severe pain as cold sweat broke out, with no possibility of continuing the fight.
"Why stop fighting? Crow, look at me."
Under the dim light, Li Yi’s body was covered in blood, his eyes glowing as he clenched his fists tightly, staring down Crow and the remaining cultivator. His steps did not halt but gradually closed the distance between them.
"You little rascal..." At this moment, Crow’s eyelids twitched, his heart chilled.
He felt as though he was hunting a terrifying fierce beast from a dangerous zone; the Li Yi in front of him was simply not someone a Spirit Medium Realm Cultivator could contend against.
Seven men.
A full seven, all formidable characters within the Spirit Medium Realm, yet within less than a minute after entering this house, this Li Yi had brutally killed three with his fists, left two critically injured and dying, even he himself had an arm ruined, with only one person remaining unscathed.
But that remaining person was probably scared to death...
"Run!"
Indeed, the remaining cultivator no longer had the courage to fight, facing the relentlessly advancing Li Yi, he collapsed at that moment and didn’t hesitate to turn and run.
"Bang!"
Almost at the same moment, Li Yi was upon him.
The cultivator had barely reached the window when a punch struck his back, then his body went limp and he fell from the window.
Following a dull crash, the outside fell silent.
Crow did not move; he simply glanced and knew in his heart that no one in this room today would get out, including himself.
"Hey, I thought it would take seven people to take you down, but I underestimated..." he laughed sarcastically, "Is the Mysterious Object really that terrifying that it could allow someone ordinary like you to transform like this?"
"Blame your greed, if you were willing to pay back then instead of choosing to kill to cover it up, I really wouldn’t need that pile of junk, and do you think I rely on the Mysterious Object to kill these people today?" Li Yi’s tone was cold, full of killing intent.
"Fair point, a Mysterious Object can only help you rapidly advance your cultivation, not achieve this," Crow then noticed the specialness of this room.
The ceiling, walls, and floor of the house all bore Fist Marks and footprints.
These were the traces left by Li Yi’s rigorous practice of boxing.
"I’ve met my match today, I admit it, but don’t celebrate too soon..." Crow scoffed coldly.
"You talk too much, it’s time to go."
Before he could finish speaking, Li Yi was already standing in front of him, his towering figure creating a shadow that enveloped Crow, a severe punch already descending.
Crow’s pupils constricted, and he attempted to resist but it was futile.
Bang!
The Fist Power reverberated, the walls shook.
Then, the inside of the house returned to utter silence.
Li Yi’s fists were bloodstained, he gasped for air, glanced at Crow’s body, then turned to look at the others.
The two cultivators that had been wailing were now silent as well, it was unclear if they were unconscious or dead.
It seemed that no other cultivators were entering from outside.
Does this mean, this crisis is over?
No.
That’s not right.
There’s someone else.
Li Yi suddenly moved his ears, hearing a noise of someone going upstairs.
