Chapter 130: Oliver Is Upset
Evelyn didn’t understand how she could take care of Oliver. But seeing Gianna’s tears, she readily nodded her head and said
"Yes, Mother. Don’t cry. I will always take care of Oliver."
Gianna felt relief spreading through her chest when she heard this.
The doctor had said that Oliver wouldn’t be able to stand on his legs for his whole life. When she heard this, Gianna had been worried every night about how her son will manage after her and her husband’s death.
Who would take care of him?
Her heart would sink inside her chest whenever she would think that he would be alone after her death.
However, there was now Evelyn.
Evelyn would stay with her son for her whole life and she was younger than her son. Perhaps they would even have children.
Then her son would not be alone.
Gianna again assured herself that whatever she was doing was right and she didn’t regret anything.

Evelyn and Gianna both cleaned the house and prepared the lunch for noon.
However, when Gianna was accompanying Evelyn to the dining room with lunch on the plates, she suddenly heard her younger son talking to her husband inside the dining room.
"Father, I want to start going to school tomorrow."
"Oh yes...The new semester is going to start soon. You should...."
Gianna didn’t even let her husband finish his words before she stepped inside the dining room and said
"You are not going to school."
The young boy who was seated inside the room raised his head and stared at his mother silently while Cooper frowned and started to speak.
"Gianna, what are you saying? Even last year he missed a whole year just because you wanted. We can’t do this to him again."
Gianna however didn’t have any expression on her face. She looked at her youngest son and said suddenly
"Don’t you care about your elder brother? Have you ever thought how he would feel when he would see you going to school but he can only stay at home with limited knowledge?"
When Gianna said this, her eyes started to fill with fresh tears.
Last year, Oliver got into an accident. Her elder son Oliver was the most intelligent student in the whole school. However, after the accident, he had not gone to school. He didn’t even talk about it.
Gianna also didn’t mention this. She was afraid that her son would be mocked by others at school. She didn’t want that to happen.
But she was also afraid that seeing her youngest son going to school, Oliver would feel upset and frustrated with himself.
After the accident, she was taking special care of her son’s each and every emotion but in all this, she had completely forgotten her younger son and she was not realizing this at all.
The child who was somewhat weak, it was sometimes natural for parents to have a soft spot for him. However, Gianna was completely ignoring her youngest son while giving everything to her eldest.
The young boy who was staring at Gianna silently up till now suddenly opened his mouth and said
"It’s not my fault that he is in this situation, is it? So why should I miss another year?"
When Gianna heard this, her eyes went red with anger. A part of her heart knew that her younger son was right but she refused to realize it.
"You are not going to school. Stay at home and study on your own."
She said and then put the plates on the dining table.
The young boy’s eyes were emotionless. He was silent all the time. He felt his father’s hand on his own and knew that he was trying to comfort him but he didn’t say anything.
His eyes suddenly went to the girl who was standing at the door of the dining room and looking towards him.
He only stared at her for a second before he got up and left the dining room.
Just outside the dining room, he came across Oliver and stopped to stare at him. It was obvious that Oliver had heard everything.
He stared at his younger brother and opened his mouth to say something but the latter didn’t give him any chance and just left from there.
Oliver sighed as he suddenly felt very depressed.
With the help of his sticks, he walked inside the dining room and looked at his mother.
"Mother, let him go to the school."
Gianna stiffened and realized that Oliver had heard everything. She turned around immediately and said
"Oliver, it’s alright. You don’t need to worry. He will be alright in some time. Come and have lunch."
Oliver looked at his mother and sighed.
He felt more upset than his brother. His mother was not understanding but with her behavior, she was digging a ditch between him and his brother.
He didn’t remember when he had seen his younger brother laughing last time.
Oliver felt as if he was a big disappointment. He didn’t say anything to Gianna and silently left the dining room without having lunch.
Gianna called out his name to stop him but he pretended as if he didn’t hear anything.
Seeing that Oliver didn’t have lunch, Gianna’s face fell.
She also didn’t have lunch and Cooper was also not in any mood of having any. He left the house to go and check his fields.
Evelyn was still standing at the door of the dining room. She looked at Gianna’s face and saw that she was crying. Evelyn felt very upset.
She thought for a moment then she walked to the room.
It was Oliver’s room. It was because of him that mother was upset. Evelyn thought.
She would talk to him and ask him not to make mother upset again.
Evelyn hesitated before she knocked on the door. When there was no response, she frowned.
A moment later, she decided to step inside the room with the plate still in her hands.
