Chapter 145: Eduardo Ivanov’s Ceremony! 2

Eduardo stood in front of the mirror, staring at the white designer suit he was wearing. The designer was there again, making a few adjustments to his suit.

"Are the cufflinks alright?" He asked.

"I’ll wear whatever you want. I’ll leave it up to you" he spoke as he smiled at the designer.

David, who was watching them, couldn’t help but notice how Eduardo always teased the designer anytime he was around.

"You look so handsome in my design. I’ll send the other designs to you. I even added extras since I thought of new designs when I saw you. You are my muse"

Eduardo took his hand, caging it in his hands.

"Thank you... However, I still don’t know your name"

"I just call myself Designer Dee because my real name sounds girlish,", he said. "Dana"

"Dana. Sounds cool. Thank you, Dana"

He said and let go of his hand.

Dana’s cheek blushed red as he started to murmur to himself. Eduardo walked back to David, checking his wristwatch.

"It’s time," he said.

"The guests are waiting for you. For your safety, only receive drinks from me, young master"

"Sure, sure..." Eduardo patted his shoulder. He adjusted his suit one last time before letting out a deep sigh.

Eduardo took a deep breath and stepped out of the room. His polished shoes clicked against the marble floors as he walked down the long hallway.

He was only walking towards the hall, and his eyes widened at how beautifully it was decorated. Golden chandeliers cast a soft, warm glow over the space, their crystals sparkling like stars. The walls were decorated with intricate gold patterns, and the red velvet carpet stretched out before him like a royal path. Every detail of the manor screamed wealth and luxury. He couldn’t help but wonder how it would look on the inside.

"Wow. Father went all out in decorating the manor" he muttered as he continued walking.

David followed closely behind, his sharp eyes scanning everything. He was always looking out for Eduardo, always making sure nothing went wrong. Especially from Fabio.

’I hope he doesn’t do anything today’

He prayed silently.

"The guests are waiting," David reminded him.

Eduardo adjusted his cuffs and smirked. "Let them wait a little longer. Builds excitement."

David sighed but didn’t argue. Eduardo always knew how to make an entrance.

Two attendants in crisp suits opened the grand double doors, revealing the massive ballroom beyond. The moment Eduardo stepped inside, the entire room fell silent.

Hundreds of guests turned their heads, their conversations pausing mid-sentence.

Eyes widened. Mouths parted in admiration.

Eduardo knew this reaction well. He had seen it many times before, but it never got old.

The ballroom was breathtaking—tall ceilings adorned with glittering chandeliers, marble floors polished to perfection, and silk drapes cascading down the walls. Lavish floral arrangements sat on golden tables, and soft classical music played in the background. Guests in expensive suits and dazzling gowns stood in small groups, holding crystal glasses filled with champagne. He felt nervous and at the same time, uncomfortable with the strong mixed scent of perfume.

But at that moment, no one cared about the decorations.

All eyes were on Eduardo.

His white designer suit was tailored perfectly, fitting him like a second skin. The fabric gleamed under the lights, making him look almost unreal. The suit’s crisp edges highlighted his broad shoulders and slim waist, and the subtle gold accents on his cuffs shimmered with every movement.

Women whispered behind their fans and hands, their gazes locked onto him.

Men watched with a mix of admiration and jealousy. Some were oddly interested in him, including his new uncle, who stood by the corner, sipping from a glass of champagne.

"How can someone look that perfect?"

"He’s the one? No one told me he’ll look this good in person?"

"That suit... It’s like it was made just for him!"

"He doesn’t have a fiancee, does he?"

Eduardo smirked but didn’t let it show too much. He wasn’t used to this.

At the front of the hall, his family waited. His sister, elegant as always, was the first to approach him. She reached up, adjusting the lapel of his suit as if it wasn’t already perfect.

"You look breathtaking, Eddy" she whispered, her voice filled with pride.

Eduardo chuckled.

"I always do, Vivi"

His father stood beside her, his expression serious but approving.

"Well done, Eduardo. You made just the appearance"

"I think it’s just a suit, Father," Eduardo replied smoothly.

His cousin giggled, wrapping her arms around his.

"Before you get snatched away, let’s take a few pictures, shall we?"

"Sure, let’s do that"

He smiled as Nessa pushed the camera button. After a few shuttering sounds, she let go of him and entered her social media account.

He was feeling tired already. It wasn’t just Nessa that was taking pictures of him. The journalists and photographers were there, taking pictures of him interacting with his family and others’ reactions to his appearance.

"You should give an opening speech. I’ll give the ending speech, just in case you get tired and leave to your room"

"How would I get tired?"

"Who knows? There are a lot of beauties here. Be sure to find a wife yourself before I pick for you" his father teased.

Nessa heard that and closed her mouth dramatically.

’But, he’s gay. He likes men, not women. Would Eddy ever find a wife?’

"Yes, father"

With his racing heart, Eduardo stepped to the podium. He tapped three times on the microphone before clearing his throat.

Everyone’s attention diverted to him. They were wondering how soothing his voice sounded.

"Uhm... Good day, everyone; it’s quite shocking to see a lot of strange faces. I humbly welcome you to my ceremony. I don’t have much to say because I never thought I was going to give a speech. I, Eduardo Ivanov, thank every one of you and appreciate you for coming to this ceremony. My speech wasn’t good but I hope my father gives a better closing speech"

He concluded and everyone laughed at his joke. He clapped your hands as he walked down the podium and headed back to his family as his father gently parted his back, also holding back his laughter.

"You seemed like a shy 10-year-old boy, like Timmy", his father teased, stretching his hands to Eduardo’s younger cousin. Timmy hid behind his mother as always and they all burst into laughter.

"Other people will want to talk to you. You should use this opportunity to get to know some of our partners"

"Yes Father" Eduardo nodded his head.

They all walked away from Eduardo to find something to do around the hall or probably talk to other guests that they were familiar with.

Soon, the other guests began approaching.

The elite of society, business tycoons, politicians, and celebrities, all lined up to greet him.

"Prince Eduardo, you look incredible tonight."

"A masterpiece in white. I must say, I’m impressed"

"You always make an impression, don’t you? Your speech made my day already"

He shook hands, exchanged pleasantries, and smiled at every compliment. It wasn’t part of the game. He just said what was in his mind and everyone jokingly loved it.

Then came the younger guests, the heirs of powerful families, the rising stars in the business world. Some were nervous, some were bold, but they all wanted his attention.

A familiar young man dressed in a sleek black suit and red hair hesitated before stepping forward. He was with his sister, Nadia. They held their gifts and flowers.

"Congratulations, Eddy. Oh, I guess I should refer to you as master now" She nervously looked away.

"I’ll appreciate it if you call me that, Nadia" he smiled at her. She was one of the persons he felt comfortable with.

She shyly handed him a bouquet of flowers, which he accepted.

"This is to thank you for saving me from that monster the other day."

He remembered the monster, being Leon. He never knew how Leon actually ended up after that day. He has the most memorable birthday of his life. He had his hands and legs broken and then was gifted with a wheelchair. Eduardo never received any feedback about whether he was still alive or dead.

"It’s fine. I was just making a debut anyway" he said.

Luca suddenly cleared his throat, announcing his presence.

Eduardo tilted his head slightly.

"All good things, I hope?"

Luca, also holding his gift box, swallowed hard.

"O-Of course!"

David, ever watchful, stepped forward with a glass in his hand.

"Your drink, young master."

Eduardo took it, barely sipping as he continued speaking with Luca, who seemed tensed.

"Do you have anything to say?"

"Well... I just wanted to let you know that I’m available" Luca said, looking away shyly.

Eduardo didn’t understand what he was talking about.

He dramatically crossed his hand on his chest.

"Are you interested in my body?"

"What? No!" He stuttered. David frowned as he stood there. "I’d like to work under you" he revealed.

Eduardo rubbed his chin.

"A lot of men work for me, shouldn’t I let a lady work for me?"

"I’d do it!" Nadia stepped forward.

He parted his lips, wanting to speak but he suddenly flinched after he felt a familiar presence.

He turned his head to the door and saw Nikolai, Maria, Mario and a stranger.

A stranger?

Yet, Eduardo couldn’t take his eyes off him.

"Why are they here?"

He muttered.
