Chapter 126: Third Day Attack!

About an hour later, the cars pulled over in front of the mall. The mall was empty; not even the security men were around.

Eduardo alighted from the car and looked around. He was reminded of the time he went to the mall with Mario.

’I didn’t even have the chance to say goodbye to him. While I’m here, I better buy a few gadgets’

He mumbled.

"This way..." Fabio said and started instructing the other men. They started walking around to make sure everywhere was safe.

David, Fabio and three other men escorted him into the mall. They began from the first floor where Eduardo started shopping for a few underwear and singlets. They were all expensive, no matter how small they were.

The next were accessories. Eduardo had good eyes as he picked better things. Fabio and David were stunned by how perfect he was. He wasn’t hesitating at all when it came to shopping.

They moved to where he picked up an expensive phone and a laptop.

He paused and looked at the other three guards who were carrying all the stuff he bought.

"Why don’t you take them to the car and return?"

"Yes sir!" They chorused and left the mall.

Eduardo finally entered the clothes section and shopped a lot of them. He was good with matching colours and also everything looked good on him, even without trying them on.

"You’ll need more suits since you’ll be attending parties and events, young master", Fabio said to him.

"Hmm, I guess so," he said and was heading closer to the suit section. There were a lot of expensive ones. He picked one of them from the hangar and placed it over his body as he stood in front of the mirror.

"It’ll be difficult to find my perfect size, wouldn’t it be better to find a designer?" He asked.

"That would be great, young master. I’ll speak to the master about it" he responded.

"Make sure you do that," Eduardo said. Just as he was about to take his eyes off the mirror, he saw the reflection of a red-dotted light.

"Is that...?"

Before he could complete his words he ducked, and a bullet shattered the mirror.

David and Fabio slipped their hands behind their suits and brought out their guns. Eduardo crawled towards them.

"What’s going on?" Eduardo asked.

"We are under attack, young master" Fabio responded.

Eduardo rolled his eyes and adjusted himself where he was hiding, behind the pile of clothes.

"I can see that. How were they able to sneak in? What were your men doing outside?!" Eduardo yelled.

Fabio fell silent. He didn’t realise that his men were not competent enough to stop the intruders.

"Forgive me, young master", he replied.

David turned to look at Fabio. The look on his face made him look so innocent, but he was so sure that Fabio was the one who planned all of this.

The gunshots continued and David stretched his hand, trying to protect Eduardo.

"Please, stay behind me, young master" he replied.

"Of course I will", Eduardo smirked.

Fabio started texting his men. He even asked for backup from the ones that were at the manor, but it was going to take an hour for them to arrive.

"I guess we can’t rely on the cops or something?"

"We have no idea whose side the cops are on. We’ll sneak out of this store once they run out of bullets," Fabio said.

Eduardo remained silent. Even if they wait for their bullets to run out, they have no idea how many of them are around since they are stuck inside here. The attackers could be in the store next door.

"I can’t wait here for an hour," Eduardo said and stood up.

"Young master..." Both Fabio and David chorused.

He kicked the hanger outside. As it rolled to the entrance, they started to shoot the hanger, creating holes in the clothes.

The attackers thought there might be someone hiding in there.

Eduardo had watched where the bullets came from, and as he thought, there were attackers next door, waiting for him to come out. He snatched the gun from David and rolled to the other side.

"Young master, let us handle this," David said.

"Shh" Eduardo placed his finger on his lips, ignoring them.

David gritted his teeth and drew closer to Fabio.

"Aren’t you going too far with your prank, boss?"

"What the fuck are you saying?" Fabio frowned.

"A few days ago was the poison incident; today is another attack with real guns. Are you trying to kill him?"

"I’m not responsible for this one. I don’t expect you to believe me. Do you think I’ll do anything that’ll be capable of taking Eddy’s life?" He asked and turned away from David.

David wanted to believe him, but at the same time, the poison from the other day could have killed Eduardo.

’He won’t be hiding if he’s the one who planned all of this. I don’t care about him, but nothing must happened to the young-- Huh?’

He looked at the opposite side where Eduardo was and it was empty.

"Where is the young master?" He asked.

"Isn’t he right there... Fuck!"

Even Fabio didn’t notice when he left.

They heard a series of gunshots from the other store close by, and when they sneaked in, they found five of the attackers dead. There was blood on Eduardo’s face.

David walked closer to him, handing over his handkerchief.

"You should wipe it off before it dries," he said.

"It’s not my blood", Eduardo replied, and David nodded.

"I know it’s not yours, young master"

Eduardo snatched the handkerchief and wiped the blood off his face. He wasn’t able to fully get rid of the blood, but he was able to prevent it from rolling into his eyes.

He tossed the handkerchief away and picked up the guns and daggers from the dead men.

"Are you good with knives?" He asked David and Fabio. They shook their head.

Eduardo tossed a gun to David since he collected his own earlier. He held two in his hand and kept the other guns tucked in his waist.

"Let’s move out. Make sure you don’t get shot" he said and started sneaking out.

David was shocked. He wasn’t expecting to see the kind of young master that was able to protect himself. He didn’t know when a smile appeared on his face.

"Yes, young master"

The next group of attackers were on the opposite side of the department. It would be difficult to meet them over there.

"What’s the next plan, young master?" David asked.

"You’ll have to take the right-hand side while he’ll take the left-hand side. That way, we’ll block them from both sides so they won’t run away from us. I’ll be watching from this side."

"Yes, young master," David said and started moving.

Fabio held his gun tight. He was furious. Ever since they came here, Eduardo has been talking to only David, as if they were lovers. Eduardo didn’t even spare him a glance, even when he was asking questions.

He felt like a third wheel. He tried to focus and head towards the left-hand side just like he ordered. He heard about how Eduardo lived his life as a slave and also a bodyguard. He’s good with guns and also daggers.

He’s strong and able to protect himself.

’If this goes on, I’ll be deemed incompetent. Fuck!’

He snapped back to reality and leaned on the wall so he wouldn’t be seen. He could see about ten of them hiding on the other side.

"There are no movement yet"

"We must finish our job before their backup arrives"

"Let’s split up. Three of you, go left. Four of you go right. We’ll remain here and wait if their backup arrives"

"Yes, boss"

Fabio heard their footsteps and rolled into one of the closest stores. He hid inside and watched how they sneaked past him. They held stronger guns, with bullets wrapped around their bodies.

Their faces were also covered.

"Should I have brought more men? I never thought Eddy would be attacked on his third day here in Russia..." He grumbled.

Meanwhile, David, who was hiding on the other side, also heard three people approaching his side.

He checked his bullets. He had more than enough to get rid of them.

"If I let them pass, they’ll be too much for the young master to handle," he said and tightened his grip around the gun.

He waited till they were closer before pulling the trigger. He was lucky to hit all three of them since they let down their guard.

He heard shots from the other side and hid immediately. He pulled the guns from their body and crawled back to where Eduardo was.

"I managed to eliminate three of them, young master. There are still more of them"

"Good job. I guess we’ll have to follow your boss to the left side" he said.

"Yes, young master," David said and followed Eduardo behind.

On the other hand, Fabio, who was hiding in the shoe department store, checked his bullet one more time.

"Since they’ve sneaked past me, I should attack from behind,", he said and put the gun back in its place.

He was about to move when he felt something poking his head.

A gun.

"I didn’t know a rat was hiding in here..."

"Wait! Isn’t that the Prince? What’s the prince doing here?" One of them sneered.

"Who cares? Kill him!"

"Yes sir"

He slipped his finger around the trigger and was about to pull it. Fabio couldn’t move his head. He was scared that if he made any move, it could cost him his life.

Suddenly, a loud sound echoed the mall.
