The Lich of Glory Knight Spirit: Moving towards Krimasha!
Chapter 86 - 19: The Eve of the Storm (5)

Chapter 86: Chapter 19: The Eve of the Storm (5)

Every resident of Lion King City would remember this morning, which would forever be etched in their memories, especially those watching from the rooftops.

A hundred knights of the Silver Moon Knight Order, waving the banner of the Silver Moon, launched a charge. An army of ten thousand crumbled in an instant.

It wasn’t that the hundred knights of the Silver Moon Knight Order were particularly brave, but that the army of ten thousand had long been terrified by the Holy Knight.

A single man could stand against an army of ten thousand—what about a hundred?

Perhaps the King was still willing to attempt another confrontation, but his soldiers were not. Thus, a hundred knights shouted slogans of justice, chasing the ten-thousand-strong army through the streets and alleys.

Catherine stared blankly.

Tavia stared blankly.

Zeda softly clapped his hands and sighed. "Only such righteous warriors are worthy opponents for us."

Standing in the center of the square in front of Pearce Cathedral, Gray sat astride his horse, maintaining the pose of holding his sword aloft and shouting, as majestic as the ruler of the world.

Hidden in the shadows, Vivian quietly delivered a single white feather to him, placing it atop his head.

"Although I don’t want to admit it, this time, you’ve won. Knight."

The breeze blew gently, scattering the clouds.

The sun rose slowly, dispelling the shadows that had shrouded Lion King City.

It was as if justice had descended upon the city overnight.

...

A large group of soldiers was herded into an alley by the knights.

A knight shouted, "Lay down your weapons and accept the judgment of justice! I guarantee your safety!"

One by one, the soldiers obediently laid down their weapons.

"Squat down! Hands on your heads! Don’t move! I’ll deal with you later!" the knight said, flinging his hand before turning his horse around and riding off.

Left unattended, the soldiers squatted obediently with their hands on their heads, motionless.

Residents watching from their balconies were dumbfounded.

A young man asked, "Is this still war? Why are they..."

"Because a Holy Knight never lies," the old man beside him stroked his beard and said, "If they say you’ll die, you’ll definitely die. If they say you’ll live, you’ll surely live."

Indeed, justice had truly descended—an irresistible justice.

...

"Damn it, we’re too late!" In the sky, Angel Abod arrived with a group of close friends, only to find there was almost no fighting. The streets and alleys were already filled with defeated and surrendered soldiers squatting in rows.

...

"Hurry and treat the wounded! Do you want our Holy Knights to bear the blame for killing people? Where are the medics? Where the hell are the medics?!" Two knights were urging the prisoners to help the injured.

Bob stood on the steps, staring in astonishment at the army before him.

They were truly righteous warriors, utterly unlike any army he had ever seen.

"I believe in justice again!" someone shouted, tears streaming down their face.

"Tell me how to join the Silver Moon Knight Order! I’ll pay any price!" someone was already asking.

"First, paying money is wrong. Only the finest knights can join the Silver Moon Knight Order. But honestly, I don’t know how to join either," another replied.

...

A knight approached the disheveled Yilin and her small team fleeing down the road, saluted respectfully, and said, "Your Grace, Duke Beisher, Miss Shelley, there are still remnants of soldiers roaming the city. Please find a safe place to hide for now. Once we’ve completely secured Lion King City, you can reemerge."

"Al... alright," Yilin nodded blankly.

The knight turned his horse and rode off.

Shelley widened her eyes and asked in a small voice, "Who are they?"

"Judging from their insignias and banners... the Silver Moon Knight Order?"

"But isn’t the Silver Moon Knight Order just a group of kids?"

"Two months ago, Gray took a hundred sets of the finest equipment from my armory," Yilin blinked repeatedly, as if she couldn’t believe what she was seeing.

Count Gruglu’s eyes widened in disbelief.

Dean the Priest asked quietly, "Then, what should I do?"

...

The author poked his head out the window: "Eh? The Holy Knight defeated the King? What about my final payment? Wait, the Holy Knight defeated the King—that means I’m going to make a fortune! I have to start writing—this book is going to sell for sure!"

...

Duke Fernandes lifted the curtain carefully, peeking at the street below where knights on horseback chased fleeing soldiers. "Yesterday, they went to the opera together, and today, the world has changed. The thoughts of this Holy Knight are even more unfathomable than the King’s."

"Should we stick to the original plan?" Duke Tangjis asked.

"If that old Gruglu’s grandson-in-law can solo the entire Isaac Kingdom, do you think he’d still cooperate with us?" Duke Fernandes retorted.

Duke Tangjis remained silent.

After a pause, Duke Fernandes continued, "We should leave immediately. The Holy Knight will surely turn Isaac into a theocratic state. This place will become a land ruled by divine power."

...

Yes, justice had been restored. Whether accepted or not, it had returned to where it belonged.

Sunlight illuminated the entirety of Lion King City.

The King fled in panic with his remaining soldiers. Just one hundred knights of the Silver Moon Knight Order quickly took control of the entire Lion King City. They strode proudly through every street, heads held high.

The glory of justice shone brilliantly under the sunlight, leaving no place for darkness to hide.

Residents stepped out of their homes, removing their hats to salute the passing knights.

Young girls prayed devoutly for them.

Children cheered for them.

Even the elderly shed tears of joy for them.

Though not sent by divine command, in this moment, they made people believe once again in the existence of the Divine Spirit.

Covered in blood, Gray still stood silently in the center of the square, holding his sword aloft, unmoving.

Three members of the Knight Order rode up to Gray, dismounted, and pounded their breastplates before kneeling on one knee. The leading knight respectfully said, "Carl of the First Squad of the Silver Moon Knight Order, reporting for reinforcements! Greetings, Holy Knight, sir!"

Gray did not respond.

"Carl of the First Squad of the Silver Moon Knight Order, reporting for reinforcements! Greetings, Holy Knight, sir!" Carl repeated.

Gray still did not respond.

The three knights looked at each other, bewildered.

A faint voice stuttered from inside the armor, "Can’t you greet first and talk later... he’s passed out from magic power exhaustion. And me... I’m dying... someone get me a vet."

Carl was startled. Panicked, he and the other two knights hurriedly helped Gray off his horse.

Jones and Dora, having just realized what was happening, rushed down the steps as well, leaving Bob standing dumbfounded, watching it all.

"Holy Knight, sir! Are you alright?!"

"He’s passed out, and you’re still asking that crap... Can someone treat me instead? I’m not unconscious," the voice said weakly.

Under the cover of his hands, Carl secretly pulled a barely-alive Black Cat out from the armor.

"Help! The Holy Knight is dying!"

The bedraggled Lord Bishop was still standing there dazed.

Carrying Gray, a large group of Silver Moon Knight Order members charged into the cathedral, finding the largest room in Pearce Church and pushing through the doors. Then they laid Gray and the Black Cat on the bed.

It was Lord Bishop’s bedroom.

"What now? We don’t know how to treat magic power exhaustion!"

"I know some first aid for wounds, but I’ve never seen magic power exhaustion."

"Should we at least bandage him first?"

"If you don’t know what to do, can you at least think about finding me a vet first..." the Black Cat muttered weakly.

A room full of Silver Moon Knights rushed around in a panic, ignoring the Black Cat, which made it feel utterly hopeless.

"Let me handle it. I know what to do." Vivian’s figure quietly appeared before them.

In an instant, all the knights turned their gaze toward the Black Cat.

At long last, the Black Cat finally had someone’s attention. It gulped and said, "She’s a demon—don’t let her touch Gray."

With a clang, thirteen swords unsheathed inside the room, and the Silver Moon Knights swiftly formed a protective formation around Gray.

...

In another dimension, Catherine smiled helplessly. "When he wanted to keep the dead mercenaries around, I opposed him. I never knew these scoundrels could be trained to this level..."

"If someone could stand alongside justice, who would willingly embrace evil?" the Divine Spirit sighed softly.

...

Vivian exhaled slowly.

The figure of Angel Abod also appeared. "Let her treat him. I’ll keep watch. Besides, Hell wouldn’t stoop so low as to destroy an opponent under such circumstances. That would be equivalent to admitting defeat."

"Indeed. The Demon Lord wouldn’t allow me to do such a thing." Vivian spoke softly.

The Silver Moon Knights finally sheathed their weapons and made way.

Vivian stepped to the bedside, throwing a fleeting glance at the Black Cat, which shrank back timidly.

"Let me through! I want to see my fiancé! How dare you stop me!" Shelley’s shouting came from the distant stairwell, where the entire floor had been cordoned off.

"The Holy Knight is unconscious. Without his command, no one is allowed near him."

"Without his command—that means I have to wait until he wakes up to see him?"

"Yes," the Silver Moon Knight blocking her replied coldly.

Vivian casually flung a small black sphere of light at the Black Cat, striking it between the brows. The Black Cat immediately felt as if its entire body had healed.

Raising her hand, Vivian condensed an even larger black orb of light, which she pressed slowly onto Gray’s masked face.

The magic power seeped bit by bit into Gray’s skeleton.

"He’s fine now. Just magic power exhaustion and some injuries. But it will take some time for him to wake up. You’ll just have to wait patiently."

"On behalf of the entire Silver Moon Knight Order, I thank you," Carl said, slamming a gauntlet against his breastplate. "But we won’t repay this favor—after all, you are a demon. I hope you understand."

"I understand." Vivian rolled her eyes and disappeared with the wind.

When Gray groggily regained consciousness, it was already three days later, at dusk.

The world had undergone an upheaval since the moment he passed out. The Silver Moon Knight Order had completely taken control of Lion King City. The fleeing King had already regrouped his soldiers, and two Dukes, along with Yilin’s forces, were on their way. Even the Kingdom of Allen had sent troops.

The storm had arrived.

The moment he drew his sword for the sake of a child, the Holy Knight was destined to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight, with nowhere to hide, nowhere to retreat.
