Ruan Jiaojiao saw Lu Zishu’s pained face and hurriedly intervened, "Godmom, that’s enough, Jiaojiao has plenty, Zishu brother and the others still have to eat."

"No, your Zishu brother doesn’t like this stuff," Zhao Li said with an air of indifference.

And Ruan Jiaojiao, thinking Xiu Xi also wanted some, sneakily moved several slices into his bowl, but Xiu Xi’s frown didn’t ease. In fact, it tightened even more.

She looked at him suspiciously, wondering if he thought she hadn’t given him enough?

Ruan Jiaojiao eyed the few slices left in her bowl, picked up her bowl, and silently turned away from Xiu Xi to eat, knowing that if she gave him any more, she wouldn’t have any left for herself!

After lunch, Ruan Jiaojiao watched Zhao Li get ready to leave with the food container. She was about to say that she shouldn’t come the next day; after all, it was summertime, and even though it wasn’t far, it was still a tiresome trip. She felt reluctant to have her godmother work so hard.

She thought that if she said she didn’t want her to come anymore, her godmother might truly be hurt.
