Chapter 366: Chapter 365 Little Brother’s Daily Life

"What kind of level is the East Sea at? Does it even deserve to drown me?"

After that, he added another explanation: "Relax, I’ve set up an array around your room, no one outside can hear a thing."

Little Brother seemed to already be used to Nezha’s sudden appearances and returned to speaking in a normal volume.

"Then how did you die?"

Nezha furrowed his brows. How did I die?

Little Brother explained to Nezha, "My mom couldn’t see you and insisted you weren’t a ghost?"

"Isn’t your master Taiyi? Don’t you know any immortal spells?"

Little Brother scratched his head. From his impression, immortals were all like his master—radiant celestial bearing, white-haired and white-bearded. How could the guy in front of him, a hundred times more attractive than his elder brothers, possibly be an immortal?

"Really?"

Nezha pointed, and Little Brother’s bizarre outfit instantly transformed into the Little Fire Dragon Suit. Honestly, with his round little face and a cocky little expression, he now looked quite adorable.

Little Brother glanced down at his now-clawed hands, clutching the plush dragon’s head: "What the heck is this nonsense!"

Nezha swiped his finger, and a curtain of water emerged before him.

"Small... Little Master I..."

"Little Master, you’re rather cute..."

With a snap of Nezha’s fingers, the Fire Dragon Suit and water curtain vanished entirely. Little Brother took stock of his appearance; truth be told, he did rather like the Fire Dragon getup. But asking a stranger outright for it? He wasn’t quite shameless enough.

His eyes darted around, but in the end, he said nothing.

Encountering someone as enigmatic as Nezha, Little Brother found himself unable to sleep. He lay on the bed, crossed his legs, mulled things over for a while, then turned and asked, "Are you an immortal too?"

Nezha reclined lazily on a splendid, unidentified demon beast’s fur and answered casually, "Of course I’m an immortal."

"So, what can you do?"

Appearing nonchalant yet clearly flaunting, Nezha replied, "Yin Yang, Five Elements, Divination, Arrays, Artifact Refining, Alchemy, Qimen Dunjia, Divine Arts, Divine Spells, Martial Arts—I’ve mastered them all. Star Shifting, Mountain Moving, Shrinking Soil, Endless Transformations, Vajra—these are all mere trifles. Beyond this, there are things you wouldn’t even begin to comprehend."

As Nezha listed them one by one, Little Brother counted on his fingers—only to run out and start counting on his toes.

"You’re... you’re bluffing. If you’re so capable, why’d you faint by the sea?"

This time, Nezha didn’t tease Little Brother. He held up six fingers and solemnly said, "There’s no one in this world who is truly invincible, except for this."

As he finished speaking, he waved the six fingers before Little Brother’s face.

Being under Master Taiyi’s tutelage, though Nezha hadn’t explicitly spelled it out, Little Brother had some inkling of what this ’six’ referred to. He didn’t know precisely which six, but he was certain his grandmaster was among them.

"If you’re that impressive, can you teach me a thing or two?"

"Sure thing."

Little Brother flipped off the bed in a leap. He understood the principle of ’spells must not be lightly passed on’ and was contemplating kneeling in thanks to the mysterious figure, only to see the latter toss him an iron rod.

"What’s this supposed to be?"

"Advanced spells can’t be passed randomly. If you can grind this into a needle, I’ll teach you whatever you want."

"Deal!"

Nezha actually quite liked this little fellow. Though full of merits, his flaws were glaring. Being naive isn’t terrible; remaining stagnant forever is. If possible, Nezha hoped this kid wouldn’t end up walking the path of "carving flesh to repay father, scraping bones to repay mother."

A child’s undeveloped mind forced into such dire extremes without the benefit of education or tempering would be a wretched tragedy.

Scrape scrape! Scrape scrape!

Little Brother was an action-oriented individual. Immediately after hearing Nezha’s suggestion, he set to work. He grabbed his Qiankun Ring and began grinding on the spot, continuing until daybreak.

The following morning, as Jinzha and Mu Zha entered the room, they saw their youngest brother grinding away at a big iron rod. They weren’t startled by the peculiar activity; they’d seen stranger things from him.

"Third Brother, what are you doing?"

"I’m trying to grind this thing into a needle."

Though Jinzha didn’t quite follow, he suggested, "Let’s go eat first. You’ll need the energy to keep grinding."

Little Brother thought about it, agreed with the logic, but carrying the hefty rod was cumbersome. He tugged at the silk sash on his belly wrap, which extended to coil around the iron rod, enabling him to sling it onto his back.

As the iron rod settled on his back, Nezha suddenly felt his body grow heavy. His innate mana began to gradually dwindle, along with his divine power.

Though unexpected, this was something Nezha could tolerate. It wasn’t out of character for an immortal to indulge in some enigmatic stunts. Flashing a quick smile at the mysterious figure, he stood up and said, "Let’s go! Food’s waiting!"

The three dashed to the side hall, arriving together. Nezha and Little Brother dove straight into their meal, while Jinzha and Mu Zha exchanged a glance and bowed before sitting down. They had begun noticing something unusual about their younger brother.

Previously, the two elder brothers had been unable to keep up with their sibling’s speed. Despite genuinely caring for their youngest brother, if that little monster injured them without warning, what then?

As sons of the General, Jinzha and Mu Zha had grown up in wealth and luxury, practicing martial arts from a young age. While ordinary soldiers couldn’t get near them, they remained frail before Nezha.

On top of that, Nezha was impulsive, and his use of force was reckless. Self-defense instincts meant they couldn’t let their guard down around him, even with concern in their hearts.

But today, Nezha’s divine power seemed to have vanished.

The two didn’t speak up, deciding instead to observe for a while longer.

After a short while and post-morning training, the family gathered for breakfast. Nezha didn’t sense anything amiss, but after the meal, everyone at the table became aware that Nezha might have truly lost his superhuman abilities.

"I’m full!"

After tossing down his bowl and chopsticks, Little Brother dashed back to his room to resume grinding the iron rod.

Watching Nezha’s retreating figure, Lady Yin revealed a worried expression: "Husband, Zha’er, he..."

Li Jing shook his head slowly: "This could be Master Taiyi’s doing, or it could be that Nezha truthfully lost his divine power. Either way, it’s a good thing."

For the mentally mature, immense power can be a blessing. For a child, perhaps not. Ordinary folk feared him, his peers ostracized him, and even Li Jing and Lady Yin struggled to educate him.

The inevitable consequence was Nezha becoming obsessive, extreme, and ultimately destructive.

"Jinzha, Mu Zha, keep an eye on Nezha these days."

"Understood."

...

Scrape scrape! Scrape scrape!

Little Brother picked up the iron rod and noticed it hadn’t become any thinner.

"Hey! Are you messing with me?"

Nezha reclined atop a puff of violet clouds, draped in luxurious beast fur, leisurely watching clips of legendary moments he’d recorded. For a brief instant, he truly experienced his own master’s joy.

"Do you think good things come easily?"

Little Brother let out a few high-pitched squawks and went back to grinding, muttering to himself while he worked, ’Once I finish this, I’m going to master all your skills!’ ’Just wait; I, Nezha, won’t lose!’

You’d be surprised—after a few bowls of chicken soup, he ground with even greater vigor.
