Chapter 365: Chapter 364: Guess Who I Am
"Hey! Hey! Which family’s young master are you from? How come I’ve never seen you before?"
Bam! Bam!
Nezha groggily got kicked twice. Turning his head, he saw a kid wearing green shorts, a red bellyband, and two upturned pigtails on his head.
Nezha: !
Instead of getting up, his first reaction was hastily shoving his Treasures into Taihuangtian with a clamor. Finally, only the Chaos Bell and some self-crafted Magical Treasures remained, allowing him to let out a sigh of relief.
With Taiyi Dao Fruit running at full force, the illusory and dreamlike Dao Qi completely enveloped Nezha. For a brief moment, the kid on the other side even wondered if he was still dreaming—he didn’t recall dreaming of anyone like this.
After finishing all this, Nezha looked up at the sky and, seeing no reaction, finally relaxed.
"Hey! I’m asking you a question here. What’s your name?"
"Nezha."
Little Brother: ?
"I’m asking for your name, not mine, geez!"
Nezha watched the increasingly agitated Little Brother but wasn’t in a rush to converse. He steadied himself, sitting cross-legged on the ground, and then said, "How about we play a game?"
Originally fuming, Little Brother froze for a moment. Now, his face was filled with excitement—"Sure, sure!"—clearly indicating he didn’t have many friends.
"The game is called ’Guess Who I Am.’ If you guess right, I’ll give you a mysterious gift. How does that sound?"
Little Brother’s initially eager grin immediately drooped.
"Ugh, what’s fun about that? How am I supposed to guess who you are?"
"I can give you a clue. I was also born in Chentang Pass."
"Ugh! There are so many people in Chentang Pass..."
"So, are you playing or not?"
"Playing!"
Little Brother plopped down, crossed his little legs, and stared intently at Nezha. Nezha didn’t mind at all and pulled a yoyo out of his sleeve, flinging it toward Little Brother.
Then he began to restore his own condition.
Little Brother muttered, "What kind of thing is this?" Soon after, he burst out laughing, "Haha, watch me unleash my soaring dragon!"
Nezha was absolutely certain he had time-traveled. The timeline of the entire Primordial universe could be seen as an infinitely extending thread, with its origin being Pangu cleaving through three thousand Demon Gods.
Time within Chaos was chaotic and disorderly. Pangu’s Heavenly Creation transformed disordered time into order, thus evolving into the River of Time. And now, the Primordial universe equates to Pangu plus the catalysis of time.
However, the River isn’t singular—Pangu is the starting point of countless eternally extending Rivers of Time.
The reason for Nezha’s time travel was the Candle Dragon detonating the River of Time they were in. The explosion of time’s power flung Nezha into another timeline.
At least at Nezha’s current level, this was all he could perceive.
This journey even triggered some reflections in Nezha’s mind—was Pangu truly dead?
From the perspective of the current time as an anchor, Pangu seems to have exhausted himself in the Heavenly Creation process, transforming his body into myriad things. But using Pangu as an anchor point, he seems perpetually wielding his axe, standing at the origin of time and observing all living beings.
Even the information about his Body Transformation could be a conclusion drawn from weak beings’ mere observation of Pangu.
Of course, these thoughts were too profound for Nezha to grapple with for now.
Under the protection of the Chaos Bell, Nezha wasn’t seriously injured. After eating some Spirit Fruit and Elixirs, he quickly recovered about forty to fifty percent.
"Hey! It’s getting dark; I need to go home. Here’s your stuff back."
Nezha opened his eyes at this, seeing Little Brother reluctantly handing the yoyo in front of him. Instead of taking it, he smiled and said, "For now, I’m homeless. Would you mind letting me stay at your place for a while? Consider this as payment, alright?"
Nezha found himself quite intrigued by Little Brother. Since he had come, he wasn’t in a rush to leave. He might as well stick around for a bit.
Little Brother was thrilled upon hearing this and patted his chest confidently, "Don’t worry; my father is the General of Chentang Pass. I’ll make sure you’re well taken care of when we get home! You won’t lose out!"
After saying this, he quickly stuffed the yoyo into his red bellyband pocket like a treasure.
Nezha didn’t mind. In a timeline, no two identical individuals can coexist. There’s already one Nezha in this time; if he reveals his true name, unknown calamities might occur.
That was precisely why he played the game with Little Brother.
Little Brother Nezha was ecstatic today. He, astute and sensitive to the emotions of those around him, noticed his father’s distance, the villagers’ fear, and his peers’ disdain.
Which was why Nezha had no friends.
Today, he had made a friend who gave him a toy!
Little Brother Nezha ran, beaming widely, hoping to tell his mother about this happy moment. Halfway through, however, he abruptly stopped, realizing his own peculiarity.
With a sudden brake, he looked behind, only to see the mysterious figure walking steadily along.
What started as worry now turned into competitiveness. Putting all his energy into running home, even smoke practically rose from behind him. Nezha quickly realized Little Brother’s intent—Trying to beat me? Ridiculous.
His body swayed lightly, and his figure disappeared from sight.
Little Brother Nezha exhausted himself completely, arriving at the Li Mansion gates out of breath.
"Ha, haha, I..."
"How are you so slow? Little guy, you’re not quite there yet."
Little Brother Nezha looked up, only to see the mysterious figure sitting on the roof, munching on a peach!
"You, you..."
Nezha felt no guilt in outpacing a child—only the joy of victory. Never mind how, why, or with whom. Just say: Did you win?
With thumb and forefinger slightly apart, he gestured, "I only beat you by a tiny bit."
Little Brother didn’t understand what "tiny bit" meant, but he could unmistakably sense Nezha’s provocation, which made his already flushed face even redder!
Little Brother eased his breath, seemingly still trying to retort. At this moment, the gate suddenly creaked open, and a plainly dressed lady stepped out, immediately embracing Little Brother: "Nezha, why are you home so late this time? I was about to send someone to fetch you for dinner!"
Little Brother, being hugged, didn’t struggle, but instead pointed behind him at the rooftop.
Lady Yin looked over twice but saw nothing. She simply assumed her son was being mischievous again and dragged him inside to have dinner prepared by the servants.
Little Brother seemed to want to say more, but Nezha raised a finger to his lips in a "shh" gesture. Little Brother immediately clammed up.
Watching Lady Yin, whose habit of calling the youngest "Zha’er" was identical, evoked some melancholy in Nezha. Lady Yin truly was the one who loved Nezha the most purely.
Little Brother had things on his mind. Ignoring Lady Yin’s "slow down, slow down," he wolfed down his meal like a whirlwind. After finishing, he dashed back to his room, shut the door, and whispered secretly, "Hey! You wouldn’t happen to be a Water Ghost drowned in the East Sea, would you?"
