Naturally, Ding Rong had no intention of going to the Wildlands, but that didn’t mean Lin Nian couldn’t stay in the Illusion Continent.

Why should she have to humble herself and suffer in the Wildlands for the sake of Lin Nian? He must stay with her in the Illusion Continent, to live in Sky City.

"Aunt, you can issue a command forbidding Lin Nian from ever leaving Sky City. That would solve everything."

Upon hearing this, the woman’s expression darkened, and she looked at Ding Rong disapprovingly.

"Rong’er, even as the city lord, one does not have the right to arbitrarily command that someone be confined to Sky City, especially when Lin Nian has committed no crime!" she said.

Why would she, a dignified Lady of the City Lord’s Mansion, pick a fight with a Captain of the Guard?

Even though Ding Rong was her niece, matters of the heart were private affairs. Moreover, Ding Rong’s fondness for an older man like Lin Nian was not something to be proud of.

Now, to confine Lin Nian to Sky City for Ding Rong’s sake, where was the sense in that?
