Chapter 1211: Why Oppose?

Chapter 1211: Chapter 1211: Why Oppose?

The others saw her leave and didn’t even bother to say goodbye to Lu Qiubo before grabbing their own washed clothes and quickly making their exit.

"These people really are bullies who prey on the weak."

Lin Caiqing couldn’t help but curse as she watched them go.

In front of her and her grandma, they could say all kinds of nasty things, but when faced with Sister Sangsang, they didn’t dare say a word.

"So, in the future, you all should toughen up and not always let others push you around," Lin Caisang said, tapping her nose lightly.

"Sister Sangsang, I’m only eleven years old," Lin Caiqing complained, stamping her foot.

"You’ll be twelve after the New Year, and you’ll grow up quickly," Lin Caisang said to her, then went over to join Lu Qiubo and squatted down to help her clean the pig intestine.

"Grandma, Uncle Jin’s pig intestines are really fatty this year."

"Aren’t they just?"

Lu Qiubo smiled, looking up at her granddaughter.

"You’ve also been busy bringing him lots of vegetable leaves for the pigs. These two portions of offal are practically half bought, half given by your Uncle Jin to us."

"That’s because there were too many vegetable leaves up on the mountain," Lin Caisang said with a smile.

Looking up, she turned to Lin Caiqing and said,

"Qing’er, Brother Molian is heating water at home. Why don’t you go and help out? We’ve got a lot of game that’s been brought in, and it’s going to be busy today."

"Really?"

At the mention of game, Lin Caiqing’s eyes lit up.

"Then I’ll go help out." She said this and ran off as fast as the wind.

"This child,"

Lu Qiubo watched Lin Caiqing run off and chuckled, shaking her head.

It was as if she had never eaten meat. Could the family really be starving her? No matter how old she gets, she never seems to change that childlike temperament.

"Grandma, later we should send some of the pig intestine to Brother Guman, and some of Brother Molian’s game as well. It’s quite lonely for him to spend the New Year alone," Lin Caisang suggested to Lu Qiubo.

"Alright,"

Lu Qiubo agreed right away.

It was indeed appropriate to send some to Ya Guman’s family; that’s what she had been thinking anyway.

"Grandma..."

While helping clean the pig intestines, Lin Caisang swept a glance over at her grandma.

"What is it?"

Lu Qiubo looked up at her and asked.

"Grandma, do you know about my plans to go with Brother Molian to his home next year?" Lin Caisang looked around, and after shooing away a few women earlier, there weren’t many people left, so she lowered her voice before speaking.

Upon hearing her words, Lu Qiubo paused her cleaning of the pig intestines and looked up at her again.

"Mhm."

After a while, she responded softly.

"Then why didn’t you talk to me about it? Don’t you object?" Lin Caisang asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Why should I object?"

Lu Qiubo countered her granddaughter.

Whether she objected or not, the fact was that her granddaughter was going to marry Ya Molian eventually. If she was going to do that someday, wouldn’t it be better to get to know his home by going there with him earlier?

Although she was somewhat worried about Sangsang, since Ya Molian had brought this up with Sangsang, he must have his own considerations, right?

He would certainly not fail to consider Sangsang’s wellbeing; of this, she was sure in her heart.

"As long as you and Molian get along well, I have nothing to object to. As for Molian’s family...never mind, I won’t ask. You know what you’re doing. When you’re out there, you have to be as tough as you are in the village, and make sure no one bullies you," Lu Qiubo advised.
