The God of Jesters -
Chapter 652 - 10.01.6 Baited.
Chapter 652: 10.01.6 Baited.
Emotion even had a thought, a thought to annihilate this vessel, the body that acted as Jester’s anchor to the material plane. Even under the contract he had with Malidi, there wouldn’t be any issue in case he killed this anchor by his own being.
But such action would also severe Jester’s connection to that blood, ruining the little bit of chaos he had implanted in Jester’s soul.
’Struggle, waste your time, destroy yourself...’ His escape, the new place he was going, Emotion was well aware of it, and that place, it might be huge, it might house countless powerhouses and relics of ancient gods, but that was not the land of opportunity, it was here, the Brihma where the opportunity will fall, the golden land where all the conflicts will start and come to end.
And with Jester leaving it, he is inadvertently giving up his chance to participate in the coming future. ’Good, be away.’
And That’s how Jester’s body, the Crow acted, walking in the fields of Yethel, while countless strong eyes kept their gazes on him, a thought on their end and it would be his end. ’So much lost though.’ This chaotic will that overtook me currently, was too foolish, easy to manipulate, but dangerous as well. And worst part, it had part control of my body.
"I won, don’t you see it?" I spoke to myself, my hand ahead of the one controlled by this being gestating within me. Though sharing the same body, and reaching the spot at the same time, with my hand being ahead of our bodies, I won, and it also easily fooled the child, who there a tantrum of his own. "Wanna play again? Let’s do this, we are going to swim now." The body currently lacked the soul strength to execute strong commands on my own, not to mention the experiences of the Faceless, the ability to transform into different beings was lost.
All I had with me currently was information, and not the experience pertaining to that information, leaving me weaker and unable to fully utilize the bloodline in my body, which is why I fooled this weed-head personality in my head to help me instead. And to it, it all came as instinct, turning into a partial fish without an issue, which is how I was able to swim into the seas again.
How much I currently hated Lord Emotion, only I understood, but such things remain for the future, for now.
However, if he thinks I will be going to the Land of Azad like my children, then he will be oh so wrong. Their exit from the stage means nothing when this body remains here. It’s my current core, the true self that will be used in my revenge.
As for the hidey-hole for me at the moment? The island is not too far from Yethel, and the alliance is greedy and easy to manipulate, the only reason I didn’t touch them was due to their weakness. Any chaos on my end might result in the end of the whole island state, changing rulers, and even being devoured by the other. That’s how volatile the relationships in the alliance were.
All wished to unite the islands, everyone was each other enemies and if not for the giants like Azad and Cynark, they might not have formed the Alliance to begin with.
’Closer to both places, more fun.’
The direction was already established, there were notes in the dream that mentioned the perfect island to turn into my home, and also the perfect place to call those two to me.
That is why I swam across the ocean, finally feeling some control coming back to my body. ’It’s sleeping.’ Like a child, this personality woke up and slept at random, which I couldn’t control, but I already had some ideas in mind about what to do with it.
And as always, that’s for the future. This child was only growing at the moment and would only pose a real danger to me if it grew too big to control. So, for now, the situation was stable.
’Swim, find a boat, and ...’ These were my thoughts, but I had to dive deep down when I saw some giant ships sailing past me, some of them holding the flags of Cynark, the other small island nations that were part of the Irban Fateh Alliance. Their goal, I might be a bit ignorant of it considering how blind Malidi left me. But during my escape, I did hear the mortals speak of a giant serpent.
’So it’s him... truly.’ That man, a good friend, although the time we remained together was not long, I liked that naive fool that held a monster within him. ’So he is going to sleep soon enough.’
A battle was going to soon take place, a big one, and that would create major chaos in the seas. ’A good opportunity... ’ Although it was disheartening that a good friend might be forced into a millennium-long sleep. The opportunity that might arise from it was immense.
All conflicts lead to new opportunities. ’I have to move,.’

The sky shattered as a deep crimson eye appeared in the heavens, overlooking the serpent’s devastation. "You have revived again...." Came the voice, shattering the very creation and causing soldiers that were situated miles away from the eye to bleed through their eyes. But they didn’t stop, their attacks on the serpent were showing no pause.
"Chalice, finally you are here.... I will eat you up this time."
Spoke the arrogant Dragon, its mouth twisting and contorting while flying toward the eye, its intent apparent, it wished to devour that eye.
"Fool, still too weak to face me." With those words, the Dragon’s body ruptured and broke down, causing his blood to fly off into the air and then enter the small chalice that appeared out of nowhere. "The Lord will love this." It spoke, seeing the dried-up husk of Dragon fall down back to the seas.
Not long after, multiple ships that had been waiting on the horizon arrived and started to harvest the remains of the beast that had caused such havoc. Taking his scales, they drip up meat and bones for their own use.
But this destruction would only exist for a bit, as it won’t be long before this serpent regenerates again using the biggest part as the core. And no one can stop this process, not even Totems using all the strength they can on the material plane, which is generally the extreme of Legendary. Otherwise, one might think how can a Legendary beast like Dragon can push so many Totems to their limits?
"Oh, friend." He looked at the desecrated corpse of Dragon, a scene that must have happened countless times in the past.
But finally seeing it himself and watching the new industry that had been born out of it, Malidi finally had some idea of why certain things happened in the past, the way they did.
’His entire body is a treasure trove of high-quality materials.’ Dragon can regenerate and recreate his entire body through the seawater, they were lords of the seas and sky, so it was no wonder he was capable of such a feat.
The issue was, that this ability to regenerate gave the old Empire like Cynark an idea, an idea where they exploited his death again and again till the strength of Dragon reached his extreme, making it impossible to suppress him using nominal means, and it’s then that they using the sealing ritual to end this misery of Dragon.
’But it will all come to an end soon enough.’ Vesta that old Guardian Dragon, a true Dragon, unlike Heroth’s serpent form. She is probably going to end This series of revivals of Dragon soon enough.
And once she does that, it will be his turn. But fate can’t be played so easily, he has to keep tight control of his actions fearing Karma, he can’t mess things upcoming so close. This is why after watching this old friend for the last time, Malidi walked away.
Or so was his intent, as a sound came not too far from him, a voice that he had heard not too long ago.
"You smell a bit different, young.... Totem?" The enemy exuded by Totems and Daemons generally is different, one rises to the rank of Six through faith and the other rises through their own strength, making the aura they exude far different from each other.
But Malidi, was different, neither A daemon nor a totem, or it might be some technique that blinded Chalice’s eyes, which is why he defaulted to a totem.
A young one at that.
"Lord Chalice, your hunger knows no bounds, even after you collected enough wine for your master, you come after me?"
"These seas belong to us, including those that intrude it... but, you are not some foreigner, are you? I feel a trace of my master on you. You either devoured a noble of our lands, or you were one of them... making you our property."
Chalice, an angel under the God of Wine. Also the strongest enforcer for Cynark whose appearance each time will be followed by bloodshed.
An entity so evil that Cynark generally never acknowledges its existence, but Malidi had been aware of him and he came here somewhat expecting this meeting. Which is why he smiled a bit.
"And that Chalice belongs to me... I require that blood." The simple bait he left had been bitten, now it was time for the harvest.
