Chapter 614: 9.14.1 I can’t help it.

*Bewm.

It was the sound that occurred, as the Rat’s spirit was revitalized and the boy’s spirit completely disappeared from the world.

"A me from future? No, A fake me from past me just sacrificed itself for my recovery, though I lack crucial information, so much is missing from this mind, it’s too weak." Spoke the rat in its head which then turned to look toward the fallen Rosso. "Friend from the future, or present? It’s so confusing."

The being born of a mixture of two left Rosso flabbergasted before a happy smile crept up on his face. "I am your creation, sent here to save the real you."

"The real me?" The being in the body of a rat looked toward Rosso and then felt certain thoughts. "I guess the real me is far more successful than I would have anticipated.’ The rat slowly got close to Rosso’s face and rubbed his nose on his cheeks. "I don’t know what to call you."

"Rosso, the name given to me."

"Rosso, such an odd name, the naming convention of this world is different than the one I come from." It spoke, looking toward Rosso, before feeling a bit surprised. "You can hear me?" Asked the little rat, which didn’t think it would be possible for it to convey any information unless he used this odd Dream walking method in his head, as for the touch method, oddly enough that was far harder to achieve with his weakened soul, so it had long abandoned the details on how to work it.

Leaving it only capable of talking through the dreams. But for some odd reason, this boy who claims to be his creation, could speak to Jester without an issue. "I am your creation, there are no walls between us when talking."

Rosso spoke, feeling proud about his talents.

"My creation, I wonder what I will do in the future, won’t you tell me?" Asked the little rat, perking its whiskers up. Which did Rosso find cute for some odd reason?

"I also want to know what you just did, my body everything is so stagnant... I can feel my lungs crashing." Rosso spoke. Although in his heart he knew this odd status was only temporary, it still turned him mortal for a bit, leaving him defenseless and also susceptible to mortal weaknesses. Which is the need for proper functioning organs if he wishes to live.

"What I did?" The rat wondered, confused for a bit, before saying. "I merged... I don’t know anything else." This rat was like a newborn, still unaware of how things worked or the things he was capable of achieving. The most he knew was his goal and the tools he had in his hands to achieve it. Such basic information goes to show that the state of his future self is not good.

Rosso, hearing the little rat’s answer didn’t seem that disappointed. Feeling his strength recovering, her slowly let the Rat climbed on his shoulder while speaking. "Please try not to do what you just did, we will be moving ahead." He spoke. It won’t be long before his body recovers, which is when he will move ahead and leave this place.

’Wait, what is going on?’ As Rosso’s strength recovered, and he planned to explain to the Jester what actually happened in the future and the state of the current him, Rosso noticed an oddity in the area. ’There are none, no bodies here anymore.’ The bodies were the easiest way to find gateways, but even with their absence, it wasn’t hard for Rosso to find the pathways that led to a new scenario while using both his eyes in Tandem.

But this odd scene still crept him a bit. ’Well, did Creator do something?’ Rosso wondered, looking at the rat, before shaking his head. ’An accident I suppose.’ With those thoughts, Rosso stepped into one of the pathways and disappeared. Unaware that the last petal of his flower totem had long wilted.

"What is going on?" On the battlefield, there were dead bodies virtually everywhere, and when ignoring all limitations put on him due to following the scenario, he was able to scour this whole place which seemed to be the size of a whole city pretty easily, leaving many soldiers startled, and causing some General level figures to come in Farhad’s pursuit. Who never fought back and just used his words and strength to render them fearful of him.

"There are no traces of Jester." Rosso came, falling to a tree where the cat was perched. "But that is not even the oddity... all the odd bodies have disappeared." That was his exit ticket if using the traditional method, but now? What should Farhad do?

’This psycho, what did he do, how did he do it?’ Farhad wondered, even contemplating whether sparing Rosso was the right choice or not.

But then again, he didn’t think he would kill that boy if he got the chance again. Which did leave him pretty conflicted. ’The disappearance of Jester’s spirit had something to do with the bodies disappearing. I can’t find either of them.’ This is what finally led Farhad back to the Cat and told him what he saw and the oddities that happened around him.

And the Cat, when learning of these oddities, looked at Farhad for a bit, before writing with its paws. "Take a risk, ignore your friend, and go directly to the exit." Its words meant the obvious, Sir Catto wanted Farhad to cheat again, but then recalling. "Won’t our ticket be ruined?" He asked while taking out the small wooden rat from his flesh pocket. The very thing that left a huge injury on his neck when he initially entered this place.

"Depends, deterioration begins after cheating, if not escape in time, you fall." Then the cat spoke in its broken language like always, filling Farhad on the details of the dangers in its own way.

Once he walks the path of a cheater in this place, a heavy punishment would be imposed upon him with cruel results. The cat had claimed before that it had been stuck in this place for a long. Could Farhad do the same? Can he endure it?

’No, think it through.’

"How much time will I be left with then?" Farhad wondered. The Cat replied a shaking head, even it didn’t know how much time Farhad would be left it, that can only be ascertained once his totem starts to deteriorates.

"Is there no other way?" He wondered though he had already expected the results. There were none.

"Then we do as you are asking."

Farhad made up his mind, letting the Cat climb up his shoulder, he intends to leave this place as fast as he can, though he repeated his earlier goals. "First Malidi and then escape... Believe me, we really need this man." Farhad’s words left the cat a bit flabbergasted, how can someone still choose to keep going for the goal when you might be stuck here forever if you go late?

But then again, it needed Farhad, he is the only path to exit in the Cat’s eyes. So it kept showing Farhad the way out.

Which just happened to be the very same path that Rosso had taken. "This smell." And Farhad once inside could smell the trace of Rosso’s body, along with the Rat he carried with him.

’It’s oddly funky...’ Due to the issues with strain on his body, Rosso regularly came out of the domain of his curse and took a breather here, but it also left a trace for Farhad to follow him. Well, that is only until they are walking in the same direction.

To Remira, this whole place seemed wonderful. "What a wonderful world this is." She was not speaking of the forbidden Zone, instead she walked into the small town operated under the church. An oddity that doesn’t exist in the present day when the nation and churches were separate due to many reasons.

Chief among them being. "Burn those heathens." Was the order given and followed by the inquisition of what appeared to be Men carrying the red sun symbol on their clothes?

There they were, the Dusk Knight leading a bunch of soldiers to destroy a village in the name of their god. Which Remira did find sad, if not for the fact that she in fact was one of those men, listening to the orders and doing as was expected of her.

This was the fourth world she came to, and she was already used to how things worked here. ’They are fake, my actions have no consequences on reality.’ Her thoughts went as she rounded up the villagers towards the center.

The wonderment she felt for this small town was not because of the cruelty, but the fact that she gets to see the actions of the church of Red Sun that were never spoken of throughout history. Odd, considering this place didn’t seem too far into the distant past. But here they were again, acting like zealots and killing innocents.

’Well, I should be done with this one.’ Remira spoke, readying herself to leave the area as she didn’t wish to see what happened next.

Though it was at this time when a small hand came and grabbed her clothes. "Please sir... please don’t harm us." pleaded the boy who couldn’t tell Remira’s gender under her helmet. Who herself paused for a bit.

But she refused to acknowledge his existence. The best way to deal with these worlds is to let things go as organically as they can.

Or so she wanted to do. ’But I can’t.’
