Chapter 595: 9.10.2 Let go.

However, Farhad had little time to react and understand what was hitting him. All he did was mold his body along with Remira’s strike that came in two, one from her main body and then one from the phantom. A double strike from different angles might have failed to harm Farhad, but it did obliterate a fifty-meter radius behind his body.

Turning the very ground into magma.

"Scary." He spoke, twisting and turning as his body dodged and struck Remira each time. Causing explosions with each of their attacks.

Their speed, momentum, and techniques were so fast that the air was starting to heat up due to friction. However, the bodies of these two didn’t seem to suffer much under such intense fight.

"What is going on?" Wondered the Military that arrived behind Farhad, who saw the scene and were left in awe of what they witnessed.

Two monsters were fighting at a speed that exceeded their perception, two beings that barely looked human but one seemed to contain the fury of the heavens, while the other carried the misery of hell as his body would twist and mutate dodging the strikes and creating new limbs out of thin air to fight off this enemy. "Is that Farhad?... who is he fighting?" One of the Master Ranked Knights asked his superior who was the only Grandmaster in the group.

"The flames colors are the answer... "

"A Radiant Knight you mean?" They had been aware of Farhad’s capabilities. They knew more than anyone the kind of Monster Farhad had become in the recent days.

Gone were the days when he would worry over the morality of his cruelty. Gone were the days when he needed to think while battling. The constant stimulus on the battlefield against Langfurt had changed him as a man, a human. His body moved faster than his thoughts.

It was such a minute control of his mutations and muscles that the soldiers who had the chance to witness him in action were forced to wonder if they would ever be capable of mimicking Farhad’s capabilities if they were cursed with similar abilities.

And the answer they generally came to was a No.

There was too much going on in Farhad’s body, the multitude of abilities that can make anyone’s mouth water were all stuffed in Farhad’s genetics, and all he needed was a will to activate it even when his head was obliterated.

Which was his secret. A secret only they knew.

"Who should we support here?" They were originally here to learn who Farhad had been colluding with, whether it was an enemy or a friend. Or if this individual had some ways to influence Farhad that they didn’t know about.

But they never expected that at the end of their journey, there would be a fight between a Radiant Knight and Farhad. And it would seem like a battle to death.

"None, this is not a battle we can take part in." If it was Farhad alone, then with their focus, there was a way to ambush and take him out using the artifacts that the General Carried. But at this moment, in his combat mode, that was hard.

And the General also didn’t wish to introduce an unexpected factor into the battle by intruding into it.

On the other hand, the battle was turning more and more brutal, now, unlike before, injuries were appearing on both of their bodies.

The slashes and burns were intermixed, one’s blood was black and the other’s silvery, a sign that these two were far from mortal at this point. Boom came a sound and Remira pulled some distance between this monster and herself with a punch that finally landed on Farhad’s body. Leaving a giant hole to open up in his neck, which healed at an insane speed, completely nullifying the purification effects of Flames of Devotion.

A scene she had seen multiple times at this point.

"So you have thought we will battle one day?" She asked, stopping for a bit while the phantom of the wolf behind her also disappeared.

Farhad thought of using this as an opportunity, but he stopped. He still retained a hint of his humanity while making him speak in a beastly tone. "I had known a day would come when I fight the Radiant Knights, just never expected it would be you..." Farhad had been aware of some parts of his existence. He was an occult student before everything happened. Which did give him some insight into his current body even though he lacked a massive amount of information on the subjects.

How to say this, Farhad just knew that he wasn’t a normal Undead as he had previously assumed. He was something much more, something greater than all other ghouls he came across.

And that makes him a target. And as a Target, Farhad knew that he needed to be ready for any scenario. And what better way to be ready than to understand what he is?

Which finally pushed him to learn more about himself and learn that this undead state of his body was truly brought by a curse, a curse far stronger and greater than he could ever imagine.

And considering his body had dual properties of Curse and Undeath, it would make him weak to the sunlight or any other purification powers.

Specifically, the Flames produced by Radiant Knights, had the power to not only devour the curse but gain strength from such purification. And how to deal with something so annoying?

Farhad didn’t have to think too much. With his control over his flesh that exceeded the very imagination itself, the moment Farhad was hit by her flames, he actively abandoned the cells in his body under the effect of those flames, which appeared as dust flying off of Farhad’s body, while new one regenerated right at that moment. Making it seem as if the flames didn’t have any effect on him.

"Don’t lie Farhad, we both know that your words hold no truth, disappointingly." Remira didn’t believe Farhad one bit. No, it would be more apt to say that Farhad seemed obsessed with fighting her, which was unlike his usual self.

"I fight for there is no option for me... " He spoke, his mouth turning more beastly as it lost its ability to make any legible words, but gained an even greater biting force for the battle that began soon after.

"You keep lying to yourself." In truth, if she didn’t think it wrong, their goals might align somewhat.

Farhad being here might be for the same purpose as her. She hadn’t forgotten what Sheva said to her, how she was looking for someone to save Malidi, and who is to say that only she was asked of this job?

Hell, from what she understood, Jester had come here himself and shown something that had left even Ancient Dragon-like Verta speechless. This can be seen in the importance Jester gave to that old man.

So much so that he would even employ friends as well as enemies to do the same job. Which means that Farhad was here for the same reason as her. But Remira also knew, that letting Farhad follow into that accursed and forbidden place would only bring further disaster. Farhad by going to support that monster would completely let go of the little struggle his heart still retains toward Farhad and might fully fall to his side.

Something that she doesn’t wish to see.

Something she can’t allow to happen.

This is why, when Farhad lunged again, Remira readied her sword, ready to strike Farhad just like he intended to crush her down. And then.

And then she threw it to the side while letting go of her awakened mode entirely. Which appeared in Farhad’s vision as Remira slowly recovered her old body while his monstrous body came to an end.

"No." Shouted the Soldiers who were watching from the side. They were already ready to act if some mishap happened. This includes Farhad taking things too far against a Radiant Knight of Such strength, it could be a great issue if it were to be found that Farhad who had been working for Cynark Military had attacked the Radiant Knights.

But, it was too late, or one should say, they were too slow to react, just like Farhad who noticing this oddity tried to stop his momentum, but one of his spiny limbs had already stabbed Remira in her lung, while the other hit her skull, though before it could penetrate, Farhad had already stopped himself.

"YOu... are you fucking STUPID?" He shouted in a beastly voice, before backing off.

"I..consider this the right move to do at this point... the only way to make you listen." She spoke as the Knights of Cynark rushed to her side while shouting their identity and saying. "Farhad, back off, there is no need to take things too far."

Which is when Remira looked towards them, and feeling a hint of appreciation for these Military Knights, she said. "Please step aside... he is not the kind to harm me."She spoke, looking toward Farhad who had done his best to kill her multiple times. All his attacks will instinctively aim for her head or heart. Even the first strike was aimed at her heart, by due to his absolute control over his muscles, Farhad was able to inch away from the heart and puncher Remira’s heart instead.

"Are you sure?... It does seem like you both know each other." He spoke, looking at Remira’s chest and head, before taking out a potion and throwing it to her. And then looking at Farhad, who seemed to have gone into shock. "But say what you will, he is under our jurisdiction, I can’t allow him to make any more drastic moves against you." He spoke, bringing out a small eel-like object from his sleeves, which did cause Farhad to wince a bit.
